Highly recommend the morning dolphin and shelling tour! Easy online booking, nice boat and marina and very friendly staff– we had Captain Gale and first mate Laura. But the superstars were the wildlife– birds galore and dolphins that surfed the wake of the boat! The shelling stop was fun too, my girls really liked sharing their finds with Captain Gale and learning about them. A truly memorable trip!

We had a great trip with Good Time Charters. Captain Gale and First Mate Andrea were knowledgeable, pleasant, and capable. We did a three hour marine life/​shelling cruise where we saw dolphins, ospreys, egrets, and a variety of other birds and fish. Gale and Andrea pointed out several species and had interesting facts to accompany their stories. One of our favorite parts was when Captain Gale asked the 8 total kids on our boat what shells they collected on Hickory Island and he was able to name them and tell us about them. Overall, it was an enjoyable, informative morning.

We had a great time on our sunset dolphin cruise with Captain Gale and First Mate Phil. We had three small children in our group of 12 and we had a great time. You are encouraged to bring drinks and food– there is a Publix right in front of the marina and a restaurant and bar that will put drinks and food in to-​go cups for you. We saw lots of dolphins even though it was a cool evening. Great family event for $ 25 a person (for adults) that cannot be beat!

Captain Mike is knowledgeable about the fish and other wildlife in the area. He works nonstop to show you a good time. Everything is supplied except food and drink. We enjoyed it immensely, and saw dolphins, pelicans, many birds we were not familiar with, and the variety of fish in these waters is amazing. You cannot go wrong booking a charter with these guys.

Awesome 1 Hour Dolphin Tour. Saw lots of Dolphins. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Worth $ 20…If you’re in the area it’s a must. Marina and Bar was vey nice.

Had an awesome time on the afternoon dolphin cruise. The captain and co-​captain were an absolute delight! They were friendly, welcoming and quite entertaining. They allowed a few of the children on the cruise to «drive the boat» which was adorable and made the children and parents pretty happy. It was nice to see them engage the little ones just as much as us adults. The afternoon cruise lasted for about 1.5 hours and was reasonably priced at $ 20. On the tour we saw quite a few Dolphins, manatees, and a bunch of different kinds of native birds. I’d recommend this tour if you want to do something short that won’t fill your entire day or if you’ve got little ones who get antsy on long tours or boat rides.

This was our 2^nd time going on the 3 hour dolphin cruise and it was wonderful! We saw lots of Dolphins surfing in our wake and playing next to the boat. I highly recommend Good Times Charter you will Not be sorry.

I’ve been on about 3 different fishing charters in fort myers and have never caught more fish or had such a pleasant time as on Good Time Charters.
We have been on Captain Mike’s charter fishing trip twice-​once in the summer and once in the winter. He and his crew are incredibly knowledgable as to how and where to catch specific fish. This past week, six of us caught 38 Spanish mackerel total. We even were able to cast some powerful rods to catch shark, and caught one huge one! About 4 feet!
Mike’s expertise allows him to stand out from the rest of the charters in the area. Highly recommended!

We took the whole family my son is five and my daughter is one in a half. it was a little rainy and overcast but we still had an amazing time we saw probably about eight dolphins and we got to stop at a private island to go shelling. The price was decent and everybody enjoy themselves. Bring food, change of clothes!

We are just on our way back to the snow in Chicago after another fantastic trip to Fort Myers Beach. This is the second time we have done a half day fishing trip with Captain Mike of Good Time Carters. We had another great trip out and both my husband and I agreed that the fishing trip was the highlight of the vacation. The marina is super convenient to get to — just behind the publix. We arrived shortly before out 8am trip and were greeted by name by Captain Mike. On board, they have two coolers ready to go — one for any drinks you bring and another for the fish you catch. There is also a bathroom on board which is great for those of us with small bladder!
Mike is professional, super knowledgeable about the area and all sorts of wildlife, and he is easy going. We caught a large redfish, several sheepheads, and a couple of other smaller fish we sent back. We were also treated to some unexpected dolphin surfing behind our boat!
I would recommend bringing a couple of towels and maybe a little snack along with a small cooler of your own to take the fish back home after the trip. Mike was nice enough to to filet up our fish and put them in a large ziplock bag that we took back in our own cooler on ice to have cooked up at SOB later that night.
Our trip ended at 12pm, which seemed like the perfect amount of time for us. Wear some layers if your going out on a cooler morning and don’t forget the sunscreen!

We went on a half-​day fishing charter. The fish weren’t real active so the 6 of us did do real great. Caught a few different varieties but only a couple of keepers. Capt. Mike, I think, did what he could to try different spots and get us some action. He seems to be experienced and knew what he was doing. I had some higher expectations based on the reviews I had read that there would be a bit more to the experience. In no way was it bad, but didn’t blow me away either. It was just an OK day fishing. Had we had better luck I might have been more excited.

My wife and I enjoyed the afternoon dolphin cruise with Capt Gale and 1^st M Ryan. Very informative and knowledgable. Saw dolphins and manatee as well as many birds. Would recommend highly!

We had a wonderful time on our dolphin cruise. We took my daughter for her birthday and all of us really enjoyed it. The crew was super knowledgeable about marine life and dolphins. The real treat was seeing a dolphin leaping through the wake following the boat!

They were so nice and the trip was perfect for our 2 kids (ages 3 and 6). We did the morning Dolphin viewing trip to Bonita beach, and as advertised, we saw dolphins galore. They surfed our boat wake a good couple miles out of the estuary. Maybe it was our lucky day. We spent an hour on the beach shelling and swimming. All in all, it was a bargain for this very nice family friendly experience.

We did the 3 hour shelling and dolphin tour last week during our family vacation in Fort Myers. Six of us went (including my 9 month old daughter) — it is a very family friendly activity and there were quite a few families present with young children and babies. It was a BLAST. The tour actually did last for 3 hours (I’m always a bit wary with activities like these because it seems as though few companies actually ever give the full advertised time!) and we enjoyed every minute. It surely didn’t hurt that it was a gorgeous day! The only complaint I had is that the boat’s top is completely covered, so you won’t get any sunshine to warm you on the ride.
After leaving the marina, we headed into the estuary and saw LOTS of dolphins. The Captain also provided a lot of wake for the dolphins to «surf» upon either side of the boat. Very cool! I didn’t expect to see so many dolphins so up-​close, but there they were, just jumping and frolicking away next to us.
We stopped for about an hour on a small island for a chance to go shelling or just relax on the sugar white sand. Quite lovely.
Good Time Charters encourages patrons to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy on tours, so don’t forget to pack something! And if you do forget, there is a Publix conveniently located next to the marina.
The Captain was amiable and very informative, providing lots of interesting tidbits about the ecological and developmental history of the area. At $ 35/​person for the tour, this was definitely worth the price and was a highlight of our vacation.

We did the sunset Dolphin Tour, we were not disappointed, it was awesome! Captain Gale was informative and friendly, readily willing to provide any assistance we needed. It was a great end to a great day. We couldn’t recommend it or the company more.

This Dolphin tour was one of the coolest things we have ever done, so fantastic that we did it in the afternoon and then the sunset trip. Ask for Captain Gayle. The Dolphins followed our boat all over the place and we also saw other water life and got interesting tips from the Captain. Don’t go anywhere but Good time charters 239−218−8014. The boat ride along was worth the $ 20.00.We are looking forward t returning to try some of their other tours… you can take food/​drinks and we got the best video ever. My son and I had a great ½ day trip with Captain Mike. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Got us lots of fishing time and wasn’t hopping from spot to spot chasing fish. We caught over 40 including 8 keepers. Very reasonable pricing. Would do it again with Mike in a heartbeat!!!

Good Time Charter is simply amazing. First, their prices are more than fair, and unlike other charter companies they do not have a minimum for a cruise. This turned out real well for my friend and I. We arrived for their sunset dolphin tour and happened to be the only ones. Despite that fact Captain Gail took us out for an awesome experience where we saw all kinds of wildlife, learned about Fort Meyers bay, viewed a great sunset and watched dolphins jumping right next to the boat.
The staff, especially Captain Gail, was so friendly making the experience even better. Our cruise only cost $ 20 per person and was worth every single penny. Good Time is a hidden gem in Fort Meyers.

We had an amazing experience with them! Our captain, Joe, was friendly and knowledgeable. We saw dolphins (2 or 3 that we followed for quite sometime) on their feeding waters. We were lucky and got to see manatees (well, just their snouts really). Best part of the trip was on the way back: Joe spotted a baby dolphin and mom and said that sometimes, if they wanna play, they’ll follow the boat and play on the wakes. They indeed did! They followed us for 5 – 10 mins and did jumps and belly flops literally right behind us tens of times. Kudos to Joe for going out of his way to entertain us.
