Glass is recycled through a process of heating in a Ceramic Kiln by adding colored glass powders from Thompson Enamels and fusing and draping over stainless steel forms and stainless steel foils folded into unique artistic forms. This process takes up to 24 hours to allow the glass to heat, fuse, drape, anneal and cool back to room temperature. First time students from age 6 with an adult will produce art pieces the first class. Classes 11 to 3PM Saturdays and on demand

Joseph F. Drury Artist’s Statement 2014
I re form found and saved glass to create one of a kind, kiln-formed glass sculptures inspired by my years on and near the sea. The glass is recycled in a ceramic kiln by heating it in and over molds to a plastic state. This process re-forms and fuses the glass into new and wonderful shapes. Powdered glass enamels and fractured glass are fused to the glass sculpture to create brilliant color fields and patterns. The glass is then carefully cooled and annealed to remove all stress. This process takes at least 24 hours per sculpture.
