Invoke Moving

Great price and great quality! Invoke wasn’t the cheapest quote I received, but the quality of customer service we experienced even by the scheduler over phone and email really won us over — and they weren’t the most expensive either, just good mid-​range.
The gentlemen who moved our house did so quickly and efficiently, no damages in the process at all. They were also very courteous which was awesome!
Hopefully I never have to move again (ha!) but if I do will definitely use Invoke.

I got several estimates for my move and though they were not the cheapest they were close. I went with them because their office manager Casey was so organized and efficient. On the day of your move you want both of those! They were prompt and very fast. I had to move the date and again Casey was helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

Well I guess it’s my wife’s fault for waiving shrink wrap. OK then why did the shrink rap everything? And this has nothing to do with recovering any money. this review is about warning people so what happened to me doesn’t happen to them now when movers rap and pad your refrigerator then try and put it on a piano dolly witch would have smashed the condenser I had to stop them tell them to use a refrigerator dolly and the still dented the handle stratched and dented the side. And honestly to many other things to mention. Michael likes likes to blame his costumers look at his response to even constructive criticism (multiple examples on Unilocal) to Micheal it’s all ways the customer fault. Like I said before in my review of invoke and yes it was harsh but it’s the truth every word for anyone reading this do you self a favor use a different moving company. No amount of shrink wrap is gonna help if the guys that show up don’t know what their doing. Hired by a a person who doesn’t care. I’m not impossible just have a lot of dented broken stratched and chipped belonging.

Great moving company to work with. Rates were great, the movers were very professional and helpful. Showed up on time, and nothing was broken in the process. Would definitely use them again, although I hope I don’t have to :)

Invoke movers did my move last week. They were timely for the appt that was set. Chad and Tony did a very good job.
would have given 5 stars, except unfortunately the truck was not large enough for all of my things so I had to move the remainig items myself, using a rented truck later that day.
(Note: It would be great if Invoke could come to the customer’s residence to assess the items to be moved in order to make sure the truck will be large enough.)

I can’t say may experience with Invoke Moving was terrible, it just really wasn’t the best and a few things happened that made me really wish I had gone with a different moving company.
First off I was quoted two hours, which I knew wasn’t going to happen because it took me two hours to move about half the amount of things 6 months earlier. So i figured it would take about 4 hour this time.
About 3 hours into the move the guys tell us they aren’t sure everything is going to fit on the truck. We call the main office and his response was «yeah that just happens sometimes and why we’re we worried when we were only 3 hours in.» When we told him we had been quoted two hours he said that we had been quoted a minimum and not the actual price. So he was not very sympathetic or helpful.
It took 6.5 hours for us to move a one bedroom apartment (on the third floor) and a storage unit on the second floor (in the same building) to a 3 bedroom house. This would have been fine if I had expected it, but this ended up costing twice as much as I had planned for.
On top of this the gentlemen moving us barely communicated with us. They left with out telling us they were done. We went to check on them and the truck was gone. He asked us to pay when he said they had about 30 minutes left because people have ripped them off in the past.
Overall, it was a frustrating and uncomfortable moving day. I would not recommend.

Thanks to Invoke Moving for a flawless move! They sent 2 individuals when we probably could have used more manpower to get the job done quicker. I would, however, use them again!

Great job, they were on time, very nice and very helpful. I moved from a 3^rd floor apartment to a house and we had just bought so new and pretty heavy furniture. They moved the whole 1,000sqft apartment full of stuff to the house and were done in about 4 hours from the time they walked in until the time they drove off from the house. The lady at the office was nice and very welling to work with me on pick up time and date. Even suggested ways to save money on my move. Good people.

Invoke moving made my move super easy! I, honestly, don’t know how I could’ve done it without them! It was raining and the truck’s path was blocked by mud. The moving men walked all of my boxes hundreds of feet to the truck… they really were miracle workers! I would recommend them to anyone!

I had a truly terrible start to my moving process when, on the day of my move (and the last day on my lease), my movers didn’t show up. I was scrambling, calling every company within a 50 mile radius to try and find someone to fill in.
The receptionist at Invoke Moving was super sweet and empathetic. She tracked down the crews to find out if anyone could help me right then. They had a crew volunteer to come immediately, but since it was almost 4pm by then (and ridiculously hot), and my landlord was very understanding, we set something up for first thing in the morning. She talked me through all of the prices and was very upfront about what the movers would do and how much it would cost, including fees for stairs, fuel, etc. They took an inventory of everything I was moving and offered protective items for my belongings going into storage.
In the morning, the movers called me when they were on their way and arrived right on time. We went over the agreements and paperwork before starting the time. These two guys were phenomenal. It was miserably hot, but they worked quickly and efficiently the entire time. I forced them to take a couple of water breaks since it was so hot out! They got everything from my two bedroom house into my storage unit (thirty minutes away) in about two hours.
The pricing was upfront, the movers were friendly and efficient, and they were available at a critical time for me! I would definitely use them again.

I hired this company to move my parents from a 2500 sqft. House to an apartment. When I called to schedule my move I spoke with a man named Michael and he was incredibly patient and considerate. The movers called when in route and arrived exactly on time. I was very impressed with how fast and efficient they were able to move a 2 story home in 100 degree heat. They were also patient with my parents, as this was a very hard day for them. Upon arrival to the apartment they unloaded the truck very quickly and even took the time to position the furniture where my mom wanted it. I’m very grateful to this company for making what should’ve been a very stressful day in to an easy move.

From the person who contacted me with an estimate, to the gentlemen who came out to move my furniture, everyone was professional, courteous, and personable. I was sent a detailed email of charges to expect. I was told that the movers would contact me en route to my house. The movers contacted me 30 minutes out and arrived at the appointed time. The movers were very efficient and only took about 6 hours to complete the move of my entire house. I consider paying for movers money well spent. Will be contacting them for another move in couple months.

I used Invoke for the 2^nd time this week. 7 months ago 2 guys moved my stuff from a 3 bedroom house to a storage unit and a 2^nd floor apartment in 3 hours and 15 minutes so I decided to use them again.
This time I was moving the exact same stuff from the exact same places into a 3 bedroom house 4 miles away, but also asked them to grab a refrigerator in Arlington which was said to be where the crew was located already that he dispatched.
At 1:24 Michael said someone would call me.
At 1:28 the guy calls and says he’s on his way to the fridge.
At 2:01 the guy I bought the refrigerator from texted and said they left with the fridge.
My apartment was 19 miles away from the fridge and the map showed zero traffic so I called him at 2:28 to see if he was lost. The driver said yes, he thought my location was in Fort Worth not Bedford and he drove to the wrong place. However, it did not sound like he was in route or in a vehicle at all.
At 2:56 he called lost and then again at 3:03 he called saying what apartment number. (Not sure why that wasn’t given).
When they arrive they say my time started at 1:30 (the time he called not the time they arrived) so I was already almost 2 hours in, but «if I wanted them to just move some priority items, they would come back and do a side job for $ 60 an hour». I was paying $ 99 + a $ 40 trip charge. (Paid $ 89 the first time).
Knowing this was not morally right to offer, I said «No, this entire move will be through Invoke.» I called the owner and he only offered 20 minutes off.
At 3:24 I took a picture of a completely empty truck. They finally start loading with me running up and down the stairs with them to get it done quick. At 4:51 we leave for the storage unit. (less than a mile way)
As soon as we arrive at storage they ask me to go get them drinks and food. So I drove to McDonald’s like they asked while they loaded the storage unit. At 5:45 we left storage and headed 4 miles to my house. They were done unloading until 7:15 and the grand total came up to 6 hours over $ 600! Keep in mind last time it was 3 hours 15 minutes. The guy called the owner, because I was upset with total and having to pay $ 200 to get the refrigerator picked up. Getting lost was not my fault and should not have been on my dime. I hear the owner say «WHAT DOES SHE EXPECT?» Well I didn’t get this far in life on my own by getting taken advantage of so what I expect is to be treated fairly. Any delivery person would have only charged $ 25 – 75 to pick up that fridge, but due to incompetence it cost me over $ 200!
I feel that the character of this crew was compromised the second they offered to do the job off of Invoke’s books and I don’t appreciate getting dinged for someone’s character. They said they’d been in the industry for many many years and it was clear that their experience made them pro’s at costing people hard earned money.
I believe it’s important to build long term relationships with businesses u trust and I would have used Invoke for all moves based on my first experience and would have referred them to anyone. However, I will say from my new experience that using a moving company is on a case by case basis so the any 4 and 5 star ratings are inaccurate to the experience u may have.
(To Michael the Owner, in response to your 9+ edited responses: I get an email every time you edit and each time you miss the point. Your approval rating means nothing to me. Unilocal and other online sites that post reviews for businesses are based on a case by case basis. I am sharing my experience. The guys were missing in action for almost 2 hours, they took much longer to do the same job and they immediately tried to steal your customer upon arrival. Their character does reflect on your company as they are employees of Invoke. However, their performance does not fully indicate the quality of your company since each employee/​crew is different.)

Rudest people ever. Some guy named Mike yelled at me, cussed me out over the phone and I was on speaker with my daughter listening. All because I asked about availability for a certain date to move.
His attitude of I need his business he doesn’t need mine will not take his company far. Im glad I didn’t let him or his people around my valuable possessions with his attitude– there’s no way I would trust him.
5 stars for terrible customer service!

My husband and I have realized we are much too easily fatigued to do the moving ourselves, and much too lazy to pack, so we hired Jason and Brandon to take care of it all. They took care of all the packing, wrapping, and heavy lifting, even left me a chair to sit on when I ran out of steam. They did admonish me to stop trying to help several times before I listened. They were nice and professional, and I highly recommend this company and this duo especially.

After a rather unpleasant experience the first time my wife and I used movers in the DFW area, we researched our next move on Unilocal to help us find a different company. Thankfully we discovered Invoke! From our experiences working with them on the phone to set up services to the day of the move, we couldn’t have been more pleased. Kirk and Jason were timely, engaged, and professional throughout. If our experience with Invoke means anything to someone looking for movers to use, look no further for service. These folks are a breath of fresh air in a world full of businesses with no idea how much customer service is so highly appreciated.

My brother recommended Invoke Moving to me. He had nothing but positive things to say. They over exceeded his hype which says a great deal if you knew my brother. They took care of all my furniture and there were no hidden surprises. Was not a small move by any means so I was aware it was going to take 2 trucks. They worked hard and were respectful around my family. I could not have asked for better service.

I was referred by a friend to use this company for move. Owner came out to give me an estimate and explain the specifics for move. I went with his suggestion of using a 3 man team. The guys that arrived carefully wrapped all my furniture to protect it from damage. There were no damages and the move was right in line with the estimate i received.

Great service from start to finish! The crew moved my wife and I from a 5^th story apartment to our new house with no problems at all. Michael (the owner) was very helpful in setting up the move making sure all of the logistics were in place prior to the day we moved. The crew worked hard from 8:00am until the job was finished around 8:00pm that night. I highly recommend Invoke to anyone looking to move. I moved about 3 months ago and used a different company, and Invoke was way cheaper and way better!

From the first call, Michael was extremely helpful in getting a crew out to help me move after another moving company cancelled on me. The two gentlemen that came out were very professional, helpful and efficient. I WILL use again and WILL recommend to others. Top notch!

Ok, first I’ll say I tried really really hard to see the good of this experience, so I will list what few things I appreciated. Overall though, I regret having to rate this company poorly.
Likes: there are truly no hidden fees — if you inventory all of your items (I mean ALL of them) you will have a decent quote and no surprises. Also, the men who came were efficient.
Dislikes: I called them on Monday to add my number of boxes to the estimate — lady at invoke did this, but it was not communicated to the movers on Saturday, so my estimate was way off and they ended up needing two trips. My husband and I were understanding of this. My biggest issue is that these movers wrap and pad your furniture AFTER they move it out of the house (risking bumping into walls) and once they arrive at the destination, they unwrap the furniture IN THE TRUCK before bringing it in the house which results in more scratches and bumps into walls. I’ve never seen a moving company do this. They’ve always wrapped and padded on site, loaded it up, unload to destination THEN unwrap the padding. Over he last day as we unpack and sort through everything, we are finding multiple scratches — this is shameful. Also displeased with how Nick kept losing so many screws to the furniture pieces that he took apart, one being our large flat screen TV that my husband and I later had to fix.
Finally, the men became increasingly more and more unprofessional as the day went on. Cursing and calling each other names in jest (I get it, you’re having a good time right?) but then they find a stash of my dogs tennis balls that she hid under one of the couches and then proceeded to nail them at one another, leaving tennis balls all over one of our rooms that I HAD TO CLEAN UP! And I’m 7 months pregnant trying to collect 7 – 8 toy balls from off the floor after I’m already stinking exhausted. Meanwhile, the men take off in the truck without telling us they are leaving and then call me wondering why we haven’t arrived at the destination yet.
So there. I’m probably more testy about this because yes, I’m hormonal and tired constantly. But I truly have never had such an experience moving like this.
Update: company owner reached out to me and apologized profusely for the incident and suggested I send in pictures of damages. After I mailed in the images of our furniture damages, he called me promptly to reconcile the issues we had. We managed to settle things that week in the manner we opted for and he was always very professional and apologetic.

The movers were awesome. They showed up on time and were very quick and courteous! Also, the quote that I was given was very affordable and spot on. There were no extra costs or hidden fees. I would definitely recommend Invoke to anyone who needs movers in the area!
