Paul Murphy and his team were a pleasure to work with. Paul’s installer Glen was a real professional and a perfectionist. Extremely pleased with the job he did. The clarity of the film they used P70 3M is exceptional and not only cuts the UV it also cuts the heat almost 40%. So its a win win at every aspect. I would highly recommend Paul Murphy’s company who is considering to cover their windows to protect their art work and carpets. Will definetely cut on the heating and air conditioning costs.

Since that time I have installed window film in every home I have lived in. Also since that date I have recommended Bay Area Window Film to many of commercial real estate clients and all report having received great service provided by Paul Murphy and his staff.
What prompted me to write this review is a recent assist with a major heat transmission problem i was having with a residential tower we had in Receivership for the Superior Court. Paul Murphy set up a OEM representative to work with my Mechanical Engineer to calculate a window film solution which proved to be a huge success and saved the Estate a great deal of money.
On another occasion we employed security film to meet Uniform Building Code requirements for safety glass without having to replace the glazing — another big success in saving me from far more costly remedies. I give Paul Murphy and Bay Area Window Film the highest recommendation without qualification. If you are thinking of window film, call Bay Area Window Film!

Gregg came early this morning to my office to install a sun control window film on the top portion of our tall windows. A few reasons why I gave Window Solutions a five star rating:
— Gregg arrived to the appointment before I even got to the office! It’s great when other people are on time!
— Window Solutions worked with our office schedule, and came in for a very early appointment so that the install would be done before people get in to work.
— Gregg finished the whole thing so fast! He cleaned up his work, and even washed up our windows a bit. A one man army :-)
The look of the windows is great, and will definitely help with the afternoon glare we get from the sun. I couldn’t be happier with the result!

I first used Window Solutions two year’s ago to install 3M film to my windows on the front of the house. They did an amazing job and I have had zero fading on my wood floors or my furniture. I also find the front rooms to be warmer/​cooler than the back of the house so I believe they added some much needed energy efficiency to my 100 year-​old windows. Paul, the owner came by for the quote and explained all of the options. I found him to be very responsive. The installer was also great and I’ve had zero issues with the film. I just called them back to do the windows in the back of the house. Great value for the level of quality and customer service. I would highly recommend!

Yes, yes, yes! I have greenhouse windows and work from home in this room, and finally decided I could no longer rely on «Nature’s air conditioning» in the face of global warming. I called Window Solutions about Sun Control Window Film from 3M, and they came out with samples, showed me what it could do, and today it was installed expertly by Eric. As he was installing, with the sun BEATING down on the windows, the temperature went from 91 to 86 (it has been getting to 91 or 92, and staying there until late afternoon). Eric did an expert, professional job, he is personable and went above and beyond. The film was reasonably priced, and Window Solutions was a pleasure. I highly recommend them.

They were responsive when I called, and emailed. They fit me in to their schedule earlier than I expected. When they came to install, the gentleman put covers over their shoes so they didn’t track any dirt in my home. The workers installed the film on 12 different window panes within 1 ½ hours!

I recommend working with this business rather than other businesses in the area. Which by comparison seemed very complicated to correspond with on the most basic levels.

We needed to replace the deteriorating film on the exterior of our two skylights. We wanted the replacement film to be on the inside.
The Window Solutions quote was in line with another quote we had received. We picked Window Solutions primarily because of its use of 3M film and their more professional approach to the project.
The installation went smoothly and we are satisfied. The only reason I withheld a star was because it took some badgering on my part to get an appointment date and time established.

We needed 5 very large windows re-​window filmed in our home. Primary reason was for heat sheilding and to stop our pictures and furniture from getting sun damage. The added bonus is increased privacy from outside.
The process involved removing the old film (which is a horrible job) and applying new. Paul gave a quote promptly, the only small delay was communicating that quote to the scheduling office. I had to chase up to get a date set up.
Jose the installer was very good, — professional, courteous and cleaned up after the job was done. We will use them in the future as we have a lot more windows to cover

Our company needed a few windows updated. We called these guys because they originally did our windows when we first moved in. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. They do not have a quick response time AT ALL. We left a message at their 800.400.7644 number on January 4, 2013. It took two weeks for them to call back and another entire week for someone to come out and measure our windows and provide an estimate. But it gets even better, a guy by the name of Paul comes out on 1÷25÷13, takes measurements of the windows, doesn’t have tint examples, does not even try to sell us any type of product or let us know what available solutions they have. He just takes the measurements and says he’ll email his quote. The very next day he emails a quote with the amount. The quote doesn’t detail/​itemize the various windows and the treatments we requested, nor did it list the measurements. I email Paul back and I asked him to provide a detailed description of what the cost entails so I can get it approved by our VP. No answer. Three whole weeks later, I still do not hear anything back from Paul. No follow up, no response about what the cost entails. My VP asked about the status of our windows and I honestly told him I’m still looking for a vendor since Window Solutions is not showing good follow-​through skills. My VP said to just use them so we can just get it done asap. Hesitantly I emailed Paul back and said to please proceed with the work despite the lack of a detailed quote. Why would anyone tell anyone to proceed with with work if you have no idea what the details of the work is? I was very skeptical. It turns out i was right. One MORE week later, they respond. Please keep in mind it was been about 1 month and 3 weeks from my original phone call back in January. That is almost 2 entire months of mostly waiting to hear back from these people. I follow up with them on ²⁄₁₄ and i say hey, what’s the deal, can we get someone scheduled to fix our windows. They respond with …“do you have the measurements because we don’t have anything on file.” WTF???
WTF was Paul out here doing and measuring if he didn’t keep a copy. Big waste of my time is what he was doing. So guess what happens next… they say they have to send another guy out to remeasure and check out our windows… and it won’t happen until another week. So far it’s ²⁄₂₈ and the guy did show up today, let’s see if it will take another 2 months for anything to actually happen. I’ll update my post with the final results.

To protect our furniture from damage by the sun, we searched for a company to install UV protection film on a large 6 foot by 9 foot windo. The job is complete. The Windows Solution team was professional, careful and very easy to work with. Job well done!

I wanted a way to have some privacy in my house without using drapes. Film was the perfect solution, and the Owner came out and estimated the job during my remodel and came in on the final day to install. Windows are slightly darker but it offers a great deal of privacy (and sun protection) to my furniture. They were efficient through the scheduling process, and fair on price. I’d highly recommend them in comparison to many of the other vendors I worked with on remodel services! Refreshing.

My husband had used Window Solutions for his warehouse and was quite pleased. I called them and another firm to get quotes. Window Solutions was very quick in responding and had a representative out with in 48 hours.
Paul was very knowledgeable about the product and was expeditious in taking measurements breaking down the rooms and windows with a price within 48 hours.
48 hours later the job was finished. The two installers were very quality and took great pains to keep water level on window sills, floor and furniture to no spots of water anywhere other than on the window as well as the installation of the film. Neat tidy and super clean.
I have recommended them to two of my friends, which I usually don’t do as I don’t want to be held responsible if my friends do not like the work ethic.
Can’t go wrong here. The price was very affordable as well. I had quite a few big tall windows done on the back of my house so it is way more cost efficient than window treatments as well as keeping the UV at bay so that my furniture will not bear the wear and tear of the SUN that is ever present in our home.

I give a 3 star for customer service. Not the best at email and the owner can be a bit slow at responding to emails.
However their work is good and prices are fair. I had a bay window tinted for $ 300 so wasn’t too bad. I had 6 panes of glass.

We had anti-​shatter film installed through Window Solutions. They were very professional, reasonably priced and got everything done in a very timely manner. We were very pleased.

If your window has an ugly outlook or you want to run around the house naked without your neighbors seeing you, then you should contact this company. They do professional window obscuring, which basically turns a regular window into one that looks like it’s etched glass. Let’s in lots of light but makes it impossible to see details. I added it in my garage to keep perps from casing my garage by looking for stuff through the windows. Also added it to my kitchen windows so that the neighbors couldn’t watch us do more than cook in the kitchen. ;)
