Fusion Tea Bar

The friendly cashier gave us two recommendations: peach please and fusion fruit tea. We got the peach please with regular boba and the sea salt jasmine tea with with their white boba (it’s not different than regular boba except for the color). I was pleasantly surprised by the sea salt jasmine tea but was moderately pleased with the peach please. The location is out of the way so I don’t see myself making the trek out here just for the boba but if I was nearby, I’d swing by!

Pros
Service: The workers are really friendly, I was kindly welcomed by all the satff members.
Cons:
Tea Drinks: I had the peach please and it lacked any fruity flavors and their teas tasted watered down where it didn’t seem they steeped their teas long enough.
I was also disappointed since the ran out of the ferrero rocher macaroon ice cream sandwich by noon. Definitly call in adavance if you are looking for a particular item.

This was a great find. To my surprise the quality of Milk tea here is better than half and half.
The macarons was really good here too.

I’ve been here about 3 – 4 times and every time, there is something that goes wrong. Last time, i tried getting a taro coco and asked how it is. She said its a tea. I it came out tasting like water and the one i wanted and was referring to was the pictures on Unilocal of the slush. It was literally water. Like pure purple h20. Horrible. The next time, they have no boba. Today, I called in and asked what time they closed BC I wanted popcorn chicken (which is really good here) and they said 9pm. So I make the 15 min drive here, and as we were looking to decide to get popcorn chicken or crab Rangoon’s, they said their kitchen is closed. This is definitely the last time I’m bringing my business here. I will not be coming back, no matter how good their popcorn chicken is.

Quaint little place that’s not too hard to find. Right next to wells Fargo.
Ordered the taro milk tea. It tastes… thick? Not saying as a detriment or anything, just as a fact. It’s kind of growing on me.
Staff seems great! I’d be happy to come back here when I’m in town.
They also have good music!

I’ve been here twice in two days, so I think I have a pretty good assessment thus far on Fusion Tea Bar.
My first visit was more of a 3-​star experience. The ordering process moved along quickly, and the guy at the register was informative in helping me decide what sort of drink to get. I settled on the Flower Bomb — chrysanthemum and aloe with some chewy jello pieces that I didn’t expect. My friend ordered just a simple sweetened ice tea. More or less, our drinks were OK but I didn’t want to dismiss this place right away.
So we came back the next day!
This time I ordered my usual tried and true favorite, the Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea with no boba. My buddy ended up getting an order of the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with cream. Winner, winner chicken dinner! For this second visit – let’s kick the rating up a half star (even though it says 4 up there… Unilocal,get with the half-​star system).
So far, the two drinks I’ve tried were good, nothing too special, but intriguing enough for me to come back and try some more. I like the fact that Fusion accepts credit card/​debit, offers a reward system, and offers a 10% discount off your order if you check in through any of the social media platforms. I also like that Fusion has a little menu of snacks and desserts. I may have to try out their macarons sometime.
What I don’t care for is the size of the shop – it’s very cramped. I feel like the booth seats were ordered in error. Pair that with the tables and additional chairs and it becomes quite difficult to move around without getting in someone else’s armpit. I would only come here to order my drink to go.

I have to say this is probably one of my favorite tea places in the area and can’t wait to try the rest of their menu.
Pros:
— The white boba — I don’t even like boba, but I really enjoyed it. It had a softer texture.
— I have tried 3 drinks and they were all good: Taro Milk Tea, Green Tea Sea Salt, and Rose Tea

Great service in this little boba tea shop! They allow you to customize and also serve the largest Halo Halo I have ever seen. (We are calling it the Big Gulp of Halo Halo.) You can easily share it with another person.
My friend Tina ordered the Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea which she liked.

This place has some pretty decent priced teas and special drinks. The drinks for a regular size is only 3 bucks, which is not bad! The tea quality is pretty good too. This is a good place to just relax and hangout and enjoy some tea with a group of friends. Bring cards!

Inconsistent. I used to love this place… maybe because it was 20 min after they opened, but they didn’t seem to be ready. I got there at 922am, waited for 4 minutes without being greeted even though 2 employees walked past me. Finally someone came to take my order, and was informed they didn’t have green tea boba. Ok… how about white boba? Nope. Only regular boba, which is better than no boba I suppose.
I do have to say that I really like their selection here, it’s so much bigger than other boba places closer to me. The white rose cream tea is pretty neat tasting.
I probably will keep coming back to this place because it’s also the only boba place that’s open at 9 a. m…
Otherwise I would probably be at Craved down the street :-\

With the boba craze going ape wild, the competition has been steep. I’d say Fusion Tea Bar is one of the front runners on this side of Fountain Valley and stretching out to the ocean.
It wasn’t love at first sip for me and Fusion Tea Bar though. My 1^st time here, I ventured out and ordered the sea salt green tea macchiato. Not to say it wasn’t good, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. A sweet & salty drink w/​mediocre boba. Plus, the eye catching big MACARONS (ferroro rocher and strawberry) were a bit hard and too sweet. So, I crossed FTB off my list.
A year later, I was in the area and decided to re-​challenge FTB. Everyone deserves a 2^nd chance, right? This time, I ordered my staple drink, JASMINE MILK TEA (regular: $ 3.15 w/​a 10% Unilocal CHECK-​IN deal). Ba-​Da-​Bing! They nailed it. Just the right balance of milk and sweetness w/​a nice tea fragrance. Boba texture was chewy and soft. VERY GOOD!
POPCORN CHICKEN: Better than Tapioca Express, but not quite as good as Cha For Tea. Batter on chicken has a tad bit too much pepper.
SERVICE: Friendly and fast. Staff offers to have you try your drink 1^st and if it’s too sweet/​bland they can make adjustments.
TID BITS:
1) Remember your Unilocal Check in Deal (10%)
2) Cushioned seating inside; not too spacious.
3) Located next to Starbucks
4) Ask for the automated stamp card. Love this idea. No need to take up space w/​all those stamp cards and risk losing them too.
I’ve been back here not once, twice, but numerous times now. My GO-​TO place in FV now. I hope the quality and taste of their drinks do not change. Especially, since competition just got a little steeper w/​a new drive thru boba shop in town.

So they have good drinks. I love the young coconut drink. Sometimes they charge you for less ice which sucks bc I always get the XL and that’s already $ 1 more.
My complaint is the workers all are «bitchy» looking which means they are rude. Obviously they don’t want to be here working. There is only 1 girl here that was nice. That dude with the buzz cut needs to get laid or something bc that fool is unhappy!
Also, do not try the coconut tea. Blah gross. But if ur looking for a good drink, they do have it. Especially if you like young coconut.
If you read most of my reviews, I am high on service and knowing «Little Saigon/​Westminster» is known for bad service everywhere, this place fits in even though it’s Americanized.

Love love their drinks and popcorn chicken especially… My favorite drink there is white rose cream tea. It kind of tastes like mung bean but more Rosey. I love their popcorn chicken because it’s meaty! Unlike other places, they give you a lot. I wouldn’t usually finish their popcorn chicken because they give you so much.
Try the jasmine sea salt that is one of my favorites too. Put white tea boba in it. They used to have green tea boba and I would add it to my drinks but I guess they don’t have it anymore.
My friend introduced me to the white rose cream tea and I loved it ever since. They also have really good macarons! Yum :)
Oh and if you ever get a drink ask for Kenny. He’s the sweetest :)

I wanted to try the captain crunch macaroon ice cream sandwich… but they ran out so I tried the Fruity Pebbles macaroon ice cream sandwich instead. It was too frozen to bite out of at first, but wait for about 5 mins for it to thaw and it’ll be ready to eat!
Cost wise, It’s about $ 5, which is comparable with Milk… but better because there isn’t a ridiculous line, the place inside is modern and clean & actually has decent amount of seating space to sit and enjoy your ice cream, it’s in OC & you save yourself a traffic ridden trip to LA. I think that’s enough reason to come here if you’re craving macaroon ice cream sandwiches.

Small, but great place to grab a quick snack/​drink or study (in my case).
One of the workers recommended Caramel Green Tea Macchiato. Loved it and downed it.
Also got a side of the popcorn chicken (medium). I was extremely surprised with the popcorn chicken because it was unlike any other place’s. The chicken was super tender and the breading didn’t overpower the chicken itself. Good amount of seasoning and big portions.
Will definitely be back again if im ever in the area.

It was mid-​afternoon and I was craving something sweet per usual. I was around the area and I knew I wanted something cold since it was hot as tits outside. There are countless boba joints in Fountain Valley and the surrounding area but I’ve had my eye on Fusion Tea Bar for a while so I contacted one of my friends and we met up to catch up and for some drinks.
THE DETAILS: Located on Brookhurst/​Edinger in the same plaza as Albertsons and a couple places away from Starbucks. There’s plenty of parking around the area. It’s a pretty small place with some tables, bar seating, and some comfy white booths to sit in. It’s a really cute place to hang out at with simple yet cute décor. The service here was amazing! I asked for his opinion on a couple of drinks and he said that if I didn’t like the drink I ordered, he’d gladly make me a new one. In addition, I guess they made an extra drink on accident so they gave my friend another drink after he finished his drink. Very young, energetic, and friendly workers!
THE TREATS:
–White Rose Cream Tea: Okay so I really liked this drink a lot. It was light and refreshing, however it was bitter. My friend took a sip and he didn’t like it because the tea flavor was too strong but I liked bitter so it was fine with me. Once you mix in the cream with the tea it makes it less bitter, but it’s still mildly strong. ⁴⁄₅
–Green tea macaron ice cream sandwich: I’m a basic girl and I could have chosen the Fruity Pebble one but I decided to be safe and go with the green tea one. I thought it was pretty good! The matcha flavor was strong and the ice cream was good! ⁴⁄₅
THE END? Fusion Tea Bar is on my list of my favorite boba places for sure! I want to try more of their drinks.

Came here for the first time and I wasn’t fond of how their macarons turned out. The shells were too soft/​brittle and the crème was a bit bland. I was surprised at the variety especially the taro flavored macaron which was okay. I also ordered one of their ice creams as well as a drink which was alright. This place is more of for drinks than a desserts but to be far I feel as if Fusion Tea Bar was a tad over hyped and turned out not too good when I got my hands on it. Maybe it would be better if I ever gave this place a chance again. Overall this place isn’t on the top of my lady of recommendations cause I’ve had better for less.
Side note: probably isn’t the biggest of deals but they also forgot to make my order after 10 minutes and it wasn’t even busy at the time.

I really don’t get what the hype is about. I’ve had better for a better cheaper price so this place does not make sense to me. I don’t ask for much but the service here is bland and lifeless. At least pretend to appreciate my money (like a gold digger) lol. Seriously though, it is no wonder this place is so loved and flooded with abg & abb. They have no idea what qualifies for great drinks and great service. I should have known better, but I had to experience for myself.
On to the actual drink I ordered, Fusion fruit tea or something like. It tasted sugared and watered down. Sigh! Boy was I disappointed. The drink itself wasn’t even mixed properly. Still I felt the need to reward a 2 star out of courtesy.
Tell your employees to actual smile and greet customers properly. The inexperience is dreadful.

A friend recommended this place and so I decided to try it to satisfy some of my hydration cravings for some milk tea!
When you walk in, you will notice this cute little place in the plaza. Since I checked in on Unilocal,I got a free Ferrero Rocher macaron because I am a huge Ferrero Rocher fan. However, I was disappointed. The macaron was rock hard, and tasted dry. I was very sad. :(
We ordered coconut milk tea, sea cream jasmine tea, and honey green milk tea. The coconut milk tea was refreshing and I recommend it for those who are huge coconut fans. The honey green milk tea was okay since I thought it was too sweet for me.
Overall, this place can be a hit and miss depending on what you order.

I needed to quench my thirst for had I waited a minute longer I might have perished. ha… Okay, so it wasn’t that dramatic, but I did need something to drink and a place to cool off as the heat wave certainly had been absorbing all the moisture out of my body. Gawd… it’s been hot. Anyways, I popped open my smart phone and did a quick search. Fusion Tea Bar was just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Miles Square Park and the café seemed like the perfect place to recharge. So here we go!
The shop is definitely kawaii! The chairs were plush and there were ample seats for patrons to lounge around. My favorite section of the café was this adorable bar area towards the right side of the shop. The bar stools had a very sophisticated Audrey Hepburn type of look which I adored.
So why the three stars?
Well… the drinks were just that «a-​ok.» I ordered the Strawberry Lychee Yogurt Slush with Fresh Strawberry Swirls plus boba. and eh… for a combination that had all my favorite ingredients I wasn’t impressed, but it was satisfactory and I did feel rehydrated afterwards. The boba on the other hand was inconsistent. Some were chewy (as it should be), but other times I would get a mouthful of undercooked balls. Yeah… not that appetizing.
I also tried their Fuzion Fries which consisted of Cajun french fries plus sweet potato fries. Again, it was fine, nothing out of the ordinary and I wouldn’t go out of my way for these. I did notice the donut-​croissant concoction and perhaps on a future visit this review will get an upgrade.
Verdict: Great environment, so-​so food.
