I’ve purchased 2 motorhomes from this dealer, which leads you to believe they would take good care of a loyal customer, but no. Their service dept. is absolutely beyond horrendous, and they make no apologies for it. After having my coach for 2 months they declared this particular repair «wasn’t their forte» and referred me to another repair shop that could take care of it. Throughout this ordeal they never called me with any kind of update, the service manager wouldn’t return my calls, sorry to say in all my years I have never experienced such complete negligence. To top it off when I had it picked up by my buddy who is a mechanic the lights had been left on resulting in dead batteries and it was absolutely filthy from sitting in their lot for 2 months. I don’t think there is a single employee management or otherwise that cares, so this is about all I can do… wow you guys are bad.

My review is for Chris C. in finance. Chris was a delight from day one. After our first outing in our 2015 Grand Design Reflection we brought it back in to the service department to fix a few things, and Chris communicated with us almost everyday on the progress of the repairs. Chris C. is an outstanding employee and person, and that is an understatement. I can’t say thank you enough to to Chris C for making this experience pleasant. THANK YOU!!!

We bought our first RV. And Worked with Corey for several months. He was fantastic. Always responsive, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We found the right class A and Corey still continues to be helpful. Thank you Corey for your honesty and integrity. If you need someone who will attend to your needs without the pressure of a salesman, ask for Corey.

Mike Thompson’s was willing to negotiate a really good cash price on a RV. However, the RV had a damaged window and the service dept. attempted to deliver that RV to us in that condition. I had to withhold the final payment until the RV was completely cleaned and serviced.
Recommendation: Get a neutral RV inspector to inspect the RV before you buy and take possession of it. It only costs between $ 150-​$ 250. This can save you thousands.
You just have to know RV’s and do your walk through seriously.
Plus: On delivery day we did a final inspection and walk through with a gentleman who was a contractor (shows you how to use the RV and answers your questions). This dude was great!

Went to Mike Thompson RV yesterday with my wife to just check out a few models. We had been by before and had a relationship with one of the salesman. He met with me on short notice. We looked at a few models and quickly had an idea what we wanted. Took it for a test drive and was ready for the dreaded negotiations. I was really not looking forward to this part but was very surprised. It took very little haggling. I was surprised at how upfront they appeared with pricing and how low I could expect to go. There was literally one back and forth exchange of numbers before we came to a price that I felt was fair. My wife was smiling so that was a great sign. The manager as well as our salesman Eric were awesome. Between our visits Eric was quick to answer questions I had via email or text. This definitely helped them keep me as a customer and not going to a different dealership.

My wife and I looked at upgrading to a new, larger Class A motorhome. We stopped at Camping World in Vacaville, saw one that we liked and tried to buy it. The salesman asked us how much would we give to buy the new vehicle. I said I have no idea. How much extra do you want? The salesman wouldn’t answer that question and, again, asked me how much I was willing to offer. I said I’d trade even up but then said of course that’s not fair and again asked how much do you want? He again he told me I had to make an offer so I said, «my rig and $ 10,000.» He took that offer and went into the private room with his bosses and came back with a figure slightly over $ 40,000. I countered at $ 20,000 (I hate this game!). They came back with the same $ 40,000+ figure. My wife and I left. A couple of days later, my wife still wanted that motorhome so I sucked it in. called the salesman and said, «I’ll give you $ 40,000.» He called back later and told me his boss still want $ 40,000+. I was done dealing with them.
On the way to San Diego for a graduation, we past Mike Thompson’s RV Super Store in Santa Fe Springs. We stopped in and met salesman George «Cowboy» Pentz. He helped us find a similar unit which, both of us liked even better than the one we tried to buy at Camping World. I was prepared to play the same sales game but Cowboy quoted me a price at the start that I thought was fair. I did ask him to knock off a little and we had a deal. He did it and we drove the rest of the way to San Diego and back home to the San Francisco bay area in our new RV. Cowboy also gave me his personal cell phone number in case we had questions. We did and used it several times. He would always either answer right away or call me back as soon as he could. Service I did not expect after the sale.

We bought our first motorhome from Mike Thompson in 2001. Bought our second in April 2016. Jake, our sales guy was fantastic! Robert, finance, got us great interest rate on loan. LOVE the Allegro we bought. Already gone 3000+ miles in it. Nice, friendly guys!

I love this place. Brad our salesman was so nice and friendly. We bought from him instead other other Rv retailers because he was the nicest guy ever. He answered all our question and helped us get the motor home that was best for our needs. Robert our finance man was a complete joy to. He got us our financing with ease and it was super friendly. And we love our motor home.

I love Mike Thompsons! We have purchased 2 RV’s from them and they are always so nice and professional. The service department is great and always listens. The last time I was in the store I had the pleasure of meeting the store manager, David. What a funny dude. Thanks guys!!!

The customer service I received at Mike Thompson RV was excellent. David Morgan, Brian the tech guy and all the employees I came in contact with made me feel comfortable and did everything they said they were going to do.

I can’t even begin to say what a horrible experience we have had with THIS location. They have had our RV almost six weeks for our shakedown fixers. After two weeks we were told it was done, we take off work early, drive 40 miles, only to find out they did ONE thing, six more to go, now they have lied about «getting authorization» from the manufacturer for a part. How do we know this? We’ve talked with the factory reps, on more than one occasion. We plan on going on vacation within a week, I hope we get the the darn thing back. So incredibly irritating!
Reading some of the reviews, I’d like to agree, returned phone calls? NOT

Review is for service department.
Went into service department on Saturday looking for about $ 200 worth of parts for tent trailer. Fellow who helped us that day was nice enough. He took a bunch of pictures of the part I needed, wrote down some notes and said he would have to call around on Monday. End of day Monday comes and I did not hear back from him. I called him at end of day and left a message. Following day Tuesday I heard nothing back from him. I went online and found another company that had the parts I needed. I made the order and it is being shipped directly to me. I am now mid-​day on day 3 and have still not heard back. My request must have not been enough for him to be concerned with. He should have just let me know that on Saturday when I spoke to him. Suffice to say, when I do need the new tent trailer or bigger more expensive part I will definitely be taking my business somewhere else.

I went here looking to purchase an RV and was fed all kinds of incorrect information. I was told that the new electric refrigerators would run 2 – 4 days on the inverter and batteries alone (later verified to be 6 hours). I was told the generator needs to be serviced every 40 hours (later verified to be 100 hours or every year, whichever comes first). I could name a million more but to keep this short, I flew out of state and saved $ 30k and drove it back for $ 400 in gas. Don’t shop here. Dishonest and overpriced with poor service.

We just purchased our first Motor home from Mike Thompson’s. It was a very pleasant experience for such a daunting task. Sher was our sales person and was 100% a perfect sales person. She helped us through every step and was more than accommodating for anything we needed help with through our selection and purchase. We were treated so nicely by her and the Steve in finance. I want to thank her for taking the time to help us and the many phone calls to bring us to the completion of this transaction. This is how sales should always happen.

Ok, here it is. One year, almost after Mike Thompson worked on my trailer and damaged the outside kitchen door. the problem they were to supposedly repaired came back after 600 miles. The truck warning signal kept saying the trailer was unplugged and check the wiring; had no brakes at that time. It was intermittent, usually occurring when I stepped on the brakes. When I took it in for repairs, MT stated the grease seal baking plate was leaking onto the brakes causing them to short out. They replaced the grease seal and repacked bearings. As I said, 600 miles later the warning has returned. They didn’t fix the outside kitchen door properly; I fixed it my self so I can only assume they didn’t repair the axle properly either. It was not a pleasure to deal with them on the prior issues and won’t take it to them again. I bought parts for the outside kitchen door from Benlo RV in Irwindale and will be taking my trailer to them for repair.
As a side, when I purchased my trailer 4/​14, there had been a recall on the axles ³⁄₁₄ and dealers and buyers were notified. Mike Thompson didn’t tell me about the recall when I bought the trailer, nor did they tell me about the recall when I took my trailer in for repairs on the axles; can you say cheat the customer, over a safety issue. Never, ever at no time will Mike Thompson get business from me

This review is for the service department.
Last year we had a couple of issues with our new RV. We called service, left messages, and got no call back at all for days. Finally got the issue resolved another way.
This year, we again had a couple of issues with the RV. Called the service number, got NO call back. Called again — still NO CALL BACK. I could have expected the same level of response from a brick wall.
I finally had to DRIVE DOWN to the dealership to speak with someone face to face, just to be able to make an appointment to get some things fixed. That’s 25 miles round-​trip and well over an hour of my time because Mike Thompson’s service department can’t or won’t return phone calls.
For my money, this is about as poor a level of customer service as can be found anywhere. I’ll add to this when I actually am able to take it in for repairs two weeks from now.

We went in for parts and a lot of people doing nothing. I’ll get my parts online. No one can answer a quick question or has knowledge of products.

As background, we came to Mike Thompson to purchase our 3^rd RV. We had a pop-​up purchased new for about 10 years, then a used Class B for 2 years, and decided to upgrade to a Class C to give us a little more indoor space and storage. Perhaps because of our prior experience, we had realistic expectations and have taken ownership of our experience from beginning to end. We did a ton of on-​line research and had checked out a bunch of options (manufacturers, models, floor plans), before we began negotiating. On the whole, the purchase experience was what you’d expect — you’re buying a house on wheels … so it’s like negotiating the purchase of a new home from the developer and a new car from the dealership. In the end, because we were a more educated buyer, we were able to work with a more experienced salesman, which improved the process. We felt like we got a decent deal.
The real surprise has come from the service department. Again, perhaps because we know what to expect from a new RV, we were well aware that there is a warranty for a reason. Lots of little things (and perhaps a few bigger things) will go wrong in the first year (it’s a house on wheels, after all). So we’ve used the RV quite a bit in our first 9 months and tried to shake out all the little problems Through all of that, we’ve developed a great relationship with Rob Knudson in the service department. He’s really been fantastic — makes sure everything is done to a high standard, keeps us posted on status, and worked well with a local Mercedes Benz service department when one of our repairs required coordination between Winnebago and MB. I think quite a bit of our work has been done by one of the techs, Rami, who has also been fantastic.
To be honest, after reading the Unilocal reviews, we were a little hesitant to go with Mike Thompson. However, our experience has been nothing but positive — so positive in fact that we recently decided to add extra accessories and we worked with Rob and Rami to do the installation. There were a few challenges with the installation on our vehicle, but they went out of their way to make sure the install was a success.
If you are a family who has a reasonable expectation of the sales process and 1^st year break-​in on an RV or trailer, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mike Thompson — not only for the initial purchase, but also for the subsequent service work. Can’t stress enough that Rob and Rami have been fantastic.

All I can say is that I wished I had read the reviews before we purchased our 2015 Keystone Springdale from MTRV.
I’m not a story teller, here are the facts.
Since ownership, Mar ’15, trailer has had myriad of issues that a new trailer should not have. Repairs have been sub-​par. Issues began upon driving off retail lot, Mar 20, 2015. Model Springdale 240BH.
RO Date 5/​18, Invoice 7/​16, List of Issues:
1. Flooring has soft spots! 2 mos later, repair job left holes on the underbelly, not properly secured. Repair unacceptable.
2. Electric Tongue came apart, wouldn’t hold bar. Repair was completed but not up to par, loose washers and wires not secured.
3 Ceiling light keeps blowing fuse. Not repaired, continues to blow fuse.
4. Entertainment system, remote did not work, speakers crack. Repair order stated remote good and need to replace, then came back and said trailer should not have come with a remote. Unacceptable.
5. Glide out system not extending, power fuse issue. Replaced, tested ok.
6. Toilet was wobbly and loose, base was cracked. Replaced, but with different color.
7. Waste water system had warped breaking the seal around it. Repair and ok.

1. Slide out not working. Waiting for response from dealership.
As you can see we have had myriad of issues with Manufacturer and Dealer with repairs. We have owned the trailer for 159 days and it has been in repair shop for 60 of those days or 38% of the time. We are fed up and want the issue of owning this trailer resolved immediately before it becomes hazard to family. We have lost not only time but money as we may have to cancel future camping trips that are already paid for.

We had a really great experience with Scott or «Scotter» in the travel trailer sales department. We had nearly no knowledge of travel trailers or RVs when we went in. Scott took a few hours with us, educated us, answered all our questions and gave us great advice about making the best choice for us. When I had more questions a few days later, he answered those over the phone as well.
Here is how well Scott did, we wound up buying a used RV from a different dealer. Why? Because Scott educated us and helped us make the best choice of us.
Our best choice turned out to be a used, mid-​size RV (28 ft) so we could get the hang of the living in an RV for a couple month long periods a year. The thought was that we will know if we want a larger, fancier one after we have been at it a while. We got one large enough that we won’t be cramped. If we don’t like it, we can get out without much down side, since we bought used.
The down side of all this is that Scott took a lot of time with us and didn’t make a sale. When we brought this up to Scott, he said he’d rather help people make the right choice for them and if I do that, i’ll get my share of sales and I’ll feel good about them all.
