I wish there was such a thing as negative stars… A nightmare from the start. This place would not let me return a defective product! And now I’ve got a useless piece of junk, and I’m down the decent amount of money I paid for it. No exchange, no store credit, nothing! They said«because it was opened, it is against our policy.» How am I supposed to know the thing works if I don’t open it and try it out? I asked them if there was anything they could do for me, and the one guy said«I will not risk getting fired over this.» What?! I am so disappointed, I’ve loved coming to this place since I was a little kid. They need to seriously improve their customer service because I will not be coming back here again! They seem great when you buy a product but if you come in for a return… good luck. They will help you out until after the sale, then they will disappear and act like you’re out to get their money when you try to make a valid return. I felt like I was the bad guy, they treated me with such rudeness and indifference and seemed almost annoyed that they had to actually talk to me. If you buy anything here, make sure you want to keep it forever because you will not be able to return it! NOTRECOMMENDEDTOANYONEWHOVALUESTHEIRTIMEANDMONEY.

Good thing I did not encounter this lady everyone is saying is an itch. It started me going to Sprint across the street to upgrade a phone to the S4. The rep there says they are out of stock. He tells me he called Radio shack and they have it on stock. I’m thinking wth, wasting my time to drive to another location. I’ve never shopped at a Radio shack but the rep said their S4 is $ 149($ 50 cheaper than what Sprint was offering). So I drove over there but feeling skeptical. Never have gotten a phone from there, less alone shop there. This location is right next to Full Moon sushi. It’s small. I walk in and there are 2 young sales rep. The phone display is right in the front center of the store. Robert ask if there is anything he can assist for me. I tell him my situation. I asked him what he thought between the Iphone and S4. He was nice enough to give me pros and cons on both phones. I stuck with the S4. The other sales rep there was Daniel. I asked numerous questions and Robert answered all of them with patience. I was impress. He didn’t give me any half arse response but he was genuine and thoroughly answered them ALL. Daniel would also assist with some questions too. Robert explained to me step by step of what the procedure would be for transferring 2 phones and stuff. He even looked at my phone plan and told me that Sprint had a new build your own plan. He took his time calculating the plan that will work for me. Eventually, we decided to stick with what I already had. When I inquired about an Otter case for the phone. He gave me different options. I told him that I sometimes drop the phone. So he suggested the Otter — The Defender. Man, this case is super duper durable. I didn’t have to buy a screen cover either. He wasn’t pushy just gave me choices. I had forgotten my password to get into my google in order to access the play store. Robert tried so many ways to assist me with retrieving my pw. I think he spent like 10 minutes. There wasn’t any sign of him rushing me or him being annoyed. He was just chilled. The whole process took about 2 hours but it didn’t feel like it. I would ask him how it was working for Radio Shack. By the way he spoke, it’s obvious he likes his job. While assisting me, he would excuse himself to ring up a customer. Anyways, by coming here instead of staying at Sprint. I saved $ 50, had beyond excellent service and got a free 3 in 1 charger(promotion at the time, can use it for your car, an outlet or portable charger… cost was $ 60 but free with the upgrade). THANKYOU, Robert and also to Daniel. Just from the experience, I would definitely come back to this location but hopefully they will be there.

Staff here blows. I came in for a quick visit because I left my headphones at home, and I was already out this way so I just needed a cheap pair of headphones to drown out Starbucks’ noise from across the street while I’m there to study/do homework. I came in, wandered myself over to the headphones aisle, an associate came and asked if I needed help, made some recommendations/etc. He was actually pretty nice and pleasant. Until I hear his manager, a butchy lady exclaim out loud, «Dammit How many times do I have to tell you guys to put the tags on the back side? Is it THAT hard to figure out?!» okay. 1) Dammit is probably a word you shouldn’t use in front of a customer. 2) scolding the guy in public probably isn’t a good way to gain some respect from both customer AND your employee. So after that, I told the guy that I’ll look around and let him know when I’m ready. And when I was, I couldn’t find him, so I stood at the check-out/register area for about 10 minutes while the manager butch lady was on the floor scanning items and counting inventory. I saw at the register was a sign that said, «Questions?Comments? send us an email!» with the name of the store manager, district manager and all that info. As I was taking a picture of the info so I could take note of it with my camera-phone, the manager finally saw me and was instantly«upbeat/happy to see a customer» bullshit. Never coming back here again, next time, I’ll just make the trip and spend the gas to go home and get whatever I left behind.

I really dislike the staff here. They’re rude idiots and I’m pretty sure that the mixed black guy who works there is a stoner. Call me shallow, but they really need to hire more«customer service» friendly looking people. Not a dirty geezer who’s skin is flying in your face from excessive scratching. Sadly to announce that I felt the need to shower from my experience at this Radio Shack. shudder!

This particular Radio Shack is staff by some of the best young people in the business. The manager, Eddie, is knowledgeable, friendly, resourceful, and takes customer service seriously. Danielle is the best! She takes her time to explain you how to use your new phones, sets it up for you, and is always willing to help. If you are going to shop at Radio Shack, this is the one to go to.
