We specialize in restoration and conservation of antique and modern furniture, objects of art, natural history objects, silver, gold leaf restoration; and operate a retail business featuring continental antiques. We are represented at Hiden Galleries, Stamford, CT and have a restoration studio/gallery in the Boston area that serves private collectors, antique dealers, architects, and the interior design industry. We are capable of on site repairs as well as restoring residential woodwork of all kinds and on site gold leaf of decorative moldings. We also offer on site cleaning and management of antique collections including furniture and objects of art. Our consulting department oversees restoration projects and advises clients on proper treatments for conservation projects. We offer documentation of private collections. Our staff is highly trained and has extensive experience in all aspects of restoration from simple cleaning to fabricating exact reproductions.
History
Established in 1994.
Paul Riedl owner and master restorer began the company in 1994 after several years of training with the National Park Service in the Preservation and Cultural Department. The company started in Framingham, MA and has since expanded to Boston, and Stamford, CT where it is part of Hiden Galleries. Over the years, the restoration team has grown and includes experts in furniture, objects of art, natural history objects, silver, gold leaf, and architectural woodwork.

Business Owner
Paul Riedl a native Bostonian, has an international background and has lived in Asia and the Middle East. He graduated from University of Hawaii where he majored in Japanese language and Asian art. After he returned to Boston in 1980, he accepted a position with the National Park Service doing historic preservation and restoration of historic sites and monuments in the New England and New York area. Following several years of government employment, he started his own company and specialized in the restoration of antique furniture. He has grown the business to include objects of art as well as offering consultation services for proper treatment of all antiquities.
