History

Established in 1987.

Jeff Hess started a sole proprietor business by the name of Jeff’s Backhoe Service in 1987 working for local contractors in the Macon Georgia area. After Hurricane Hugo ravaged the South Carolina coast in 1989, Jeff saw the potential to expand his business into the emergency recovery industry and with this he changed the company name to Hess Construction Company, Inc in 1989. After many years of success in the construction industry, in 2000, Jeff Hess realized the advantages of operating a small woman-​owned business and thus changed its name to Liesa Construction and Landscaping services, Inc. After further company growth, in 2005, the company became known by what it is today, «Hess Construction, LLC».

Jeff Hess has been an entrepreneur in the land development industry for over 25 years. He first started a sole proprietor business by the name of Jeff’s Backhoe Service in 1987 working for local contractors in the Macon, Georgia area. After Hurricane Hugo ravaged the South Carolina coast in 1989, Jeff saw the potential to expand his business into the emergency recovery industry including comprehensive tree services.

Since that time, Jeff has become an expert in his field and maintains a solid reputation by providing the same level of care and integrity to every project.
