Tri Star Home Services, based out of Smyrna, TN was the WORST home renovation experience ever. Do NOT use THEM!!! What should have been a 3 – 4 weeks project took over two months and then the final outcome is unacceptable for any home owner. Where to even begin? First, our original project manager took our first payment, did demolition, then disappeared for two weeks. He never responded to our calls, texts, and did everything wrong: from a bad paint job, to incorrect electrical, to horrible hardwood flooring. We had to replace our hardwood flooring 3 times (first they laid it the wrong direction, then re-​used torn up wood for attempt number 2, then finally got it right). We finally got a new project manager who was nice and all, but he did NOT know what he was doing. The electrical is not correct (nor safely installed), the plumbing had to be completely redone by an expert (it caused leaks under our kitchen sink and refrigerator and used bad piping), they installed our brand new kitchen cabinets incorrectly and ruined them, causing us to call the company to have the experts come out to repair. They just do not know what they are doing when it comes to home renovations. What put the icing on the cake was how they threw our half bath together by just sitting our vanity down (not securing it, and of course not getting the correct size we asked for), place in the drop-​in sink without securing it, didn’t finish the toe-​kick, and said it was complete. We spent good money and got a crap job. It was a great learning experience for us-​next time we will be the contractor and hire the experts ourselves. At least that way we will know our renovations are being done correctly the first time around. The owner, Chip Hayes, is horrible to work with. He didn’t care about our home or our outcome. He only cares about big business and making money-​so watch out no matter what your business size is (private home owner to rental company). I know no renovation project is a pleasant experience, but I cannot say anything good about this project. You’ve been warned.
