Came here on a hot Friday night in July with the wife. Place was pretty empty. They committed a couple of cardinal sins: — Stale bread with foil wrapped butter, had to ask for olive oil — No wine glasses, you’ll have to drink wine from water glasses — All the waitresses are young teenagers with no previous experience — Owner and wife put on an overly loud singing performance, cute stuff but we didn’t really appreciate this monkey grinder circus — Place was warm, needed to turn down the A/C a bit We ordered the hot appetizer for two. This was a collection of six different unidentifiable greasy creations served on top of a bland sauce with little to recommend itself. Yuck!!! Wifey ordered the risotto with shrimp(may have been a special). Flavor was ok, but the dish relied too much on butter and garlic… really a lazy effort by the chef. I had the pollo all’angelo(I always order the entrée named after the restaurant on the first visit). Another bland effort, I smothered it with salt and grated cheese to spice it up a bit. In a market(and town) saturated with byo Italians, I have one recommendation… hurry up if you want to try this place(they can use the business) because it won’t be around much longer.

There are enough restaurants in Freehold; this one wasn’t needed. Went for the first(and last) time with a group of eight. First hint of trouble was when the server told three of us that they were already out of an interesting dish that was featured on the specials menu. It was not quite 8pm. I ordered veal parm; not especially original, but something any restaurant should be able to do. It came out too tough and stringy to eat. I agreed to a chicken parm as a substitute. That came out looking and tasting just as overcooked as the veal. I took it home, but it;s going in the garbage. Others in our group had similar issues. Pasta was skimpy on some dishes. Bolognese sauce was poorly done.

2.5 stars I came here for dinner on a Thursday night. Inside, it had a cozy feel to it, however that was ruined by the gentleman singing. It wouldn’t have been as bad if he hadn’t been singing so loud. The food itself was mediocre. I had a vegetable dish which was very bland & I had to add salt to it. My friend had ordered the chicken alfredo dish was okay. The prices were average for the amount of food they gave you, but you won’t see me going there again.
