Step into The Counter® and you’re greeted with a clipboard and an extensive list of fresh mouth-watering ingredients that allow you to build your own gourmet burger. Our 312,120+ different burger combinations make every burger as unique as each customer. Rarely is the same burger made twice in one day.
Build your burger from the bun (or bowl!) up – you choose the patty (whether 100% all natural Angus beef, bison, chicken, turkey, ahi tuna, or veggie), cheese, toppings, and sauce. Vegans and Vegetarians, our veggie burgers are made fresh daily by our chef.
The Counter in Fremont has a full-bar with 12 Craft Beers on Tap. We have a lovely patio that has a cozy firepit to keep you nice and toasty. We Cater Too!

The Counter now spans 10 states including California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, and is spreading out all over the globe, first in Ireland and Australia.

All of The Counter’s in Northern Calfornia are locally owned by Bay Area residents and enjoy bringing great burgers to our friends and neighbors. While The Counter is a franchise, we like to think of ourselves as more of a mom and pop than as a chain. We are very hands on and like to hear about all the good as well as anything we could be doing better. We look forward to seeing you!
