Went in to vogels office & didn’t attend me at my appointed time, instead he called someone else in & made me late for work ! After finally calling me in he rushed me out & his staff never followed up with, as if my money isn’t money. I felt I welcomed & belittled

I just finished braces at Evan Vogel and I had to give a review. This is the best place to go! Friendly, kind staff, Dr. Vogel is very patient and really listens to all your concerns. Easy payment plans and never a bad experience there. If you need any kind of orthodontist work, go to Evan Vogel in Fremont!

This ortho practice deserves 5 stars. I got my braces about a month ago and I am very satisfied with my treatment. Dr. Vogel and his staff are very friendly and always make me feel welcome. The practice is so clean and well organized. I truly recommend this place to anyone that is interested in starting their ortho treatment.

I am extremely satisfied with his professional expertise. I have the braces for about 3 months, and the gaps have significantly narrowed. I am totally confident in his work.

I went to the office three times and did consultation and x rays from December 2012 till February 2013.
Now after 8 months, the claims were never submitted right.
And I checked my Metlife account, no claim in 2013 and a claim in December 2012 with a wrong amount.
I have followed up a lot with them until now. I feel so frustrated. They said they have submitted the claim several times and the problem is with the insurance, But I never have any problem with my insurance or dental office before. I can only say their staff is extremely not professional in handling claims.
Also, they never call me to follow up, it’s always me to call them about the status.
If you want to try the office, pay all the fee by your own, get the bill statements every month and enjoy the bad treatment from the staff, please go to the office. Or please flee away.

I was referred to Dr. Vogel by our family dentist for my daughter. Upon our first consultation I had lot’s of questions regarding her bight and the fact that she may inherit my bite and I was quite worried about this. I was basically poo [ooed off as if he really didn’t have time. I did not care for the appt’s either as he spoke to my twelve year old instead of me directly. After her braces came off I asked for a permanent retainer which is located behind the teeth and was told that nobody does them anymore. So we had to get the plastic invisalign. Low and behold yesterday my dentist told me they are still being used. If I had it to do all over again I would have gone elsewhere.

Dr. Vogel is a skilled professional and a fantastic guy. His practice is efficiently run, and very flexible regarding appointments. My daughter did her braces here, and loved him. I dd adult Invisalign and could not be happier with the process, the people, and the results.

i loved dr vogel had braces a long time ago but when i did see him i loved it he was very patient and kind always ask how was school and tried to get to know me personally not just another paycheck. strongly recommend him to anyone.

I was shocked to see Dr. Vogel had two reviews that were less than 5 stars because honestly this guy is the BEST. He is genuine, caring, and efficient. I’ve had my braces off for over 6 years now and when I come in for my check ups he still asks me specific questions about how various things in my life are going. When I was coordinating my appointments with a busy high school and college schedule (especially during breaks when I was home from school and have very limited availability), Dr. Vogel always managed to squeeze me in so I could see him. My follow up routine check ups each year are always a welcomed occasion to see him. I heard a lot from my friends about their various orthodontic experiences and they missed out not seeing Dr. Vogel! Furthermore, when I had a fundraising event for my sports team, he donated to the cause multiple years in a row. He’s amazing and I recommend him to everyone I know.

Dr. Vogel is a consummate professional and skilled orthodontist.
Like Beck L., I am a patient that Dr. Vogel inherited from Dr. Ingram’s practice in the mid-​1990s. By then, my braces had been removed and I visited Dr. Vogel’s office on only one or two occasions. I found him to be a kind and thorough both times.
Over a decade after last seeing Dr. Vogel, he treated me with the same courtesy and warmth that a medical professional would extend to current patients. For example, one Thursday night my lower «permanent» retainer declared its independence, breaking free from my teeth and threatening to be a nuisance. This happened two nights before I was scheduled to travel for a few days.
On Friday morning, I dropped by Dr. Vogel’s office only to discover the office was closed on Fridays. Fortunately, Dr. Vogel was there meeting with a contractor. I explained that my retainer wire broke and without hesitation, he invited me into his work area and examined my teeth. Dr. Vogel did not interrogate me, require me to fill out paperwork, or ask me to call his office the following Monday, though he would have been fully justified to do so. Instead, he was most concerned about and focused on my teeth.
With several deft motions he removed my retainer and its components and took an impression of my teeth. A few days later I was equipped with a new clear retainer, which served me well (until I lost it, but that’s a whole other story).
I agree with Daly D. that Dr. Vogel’s practice is quite high-​tech and, perhaps, errs on the side of being over-​extended. Nevertheless, the staff have always been courteous and competent and I’ve never had to wait longer than five minutes; on the flip-​side, Dr. Vogel and his staff are so efficient and quick that my visits with Dr. Vogel have never lasted more than 15 minutes. This might disappoint patients/​parents who really desire face time with Dr. Vogel.

Both my son and daughter have used Dr. Vogel’s services. He is friendly and approachable and takes his profession seriously. I was equally impressed by his staff as they take the time to explain the procedures and don’t get pushed out of shape when discussing payment plans. Speaking of payment plans, although we had ortho coverage, it only covered about ¹⁄₃^rd of the bill. Dr. Vogel’s office set up an easy pay plan without interest.
When my daughter had problems with her dental hygiene practices — Dr. Vogel removed the braces and said he will reinstall them for free once her teeth get better. What orthodontist would do that? Dr. Vogel, that is who! I highly recommend his ethical and professional practices.

Dr. Vogel has done braces for several family members. My niece had a complicated case where her eye tooth was impacted and she had to see an oral surgeon as well. Her treatment went smoothly and the coordination between the two offices was great. My wife had braces later in life and we felt very good about Dr. Vogel’s plan and now the end result. He is very professional and very personable. It was a joy to see the staff members and after a while it felt like we were seeing friends. We would recommend Dr. Vogel and his team highly.

Dr. Vogel is very nice and polite when you’re talking to him but once you look away, his smile disappears. I had braces put on a couple of years ago and didn’t have to have them on for so long. He promised to get them off before April 2009. In November 2008, he said they’ll probably come off in January or February. Didn’t happen. April came, he promised to get them off at least before June. Didn’t happen. Then he promised by the end of the summer. Isn’t happening. He has so many patients he doesn’t remember everyone. I explain to him that I’m moving down south every time I visit and he is surprised every single time. I would expect for him to make a note of that somewhere the FIRST time I told him. Now he’s telling me I have to come back during Thanksgiving break to have another check up… My teeth weren’t even that messed up to begin with and the estimated time I had to have braces for was only 14 months.

Having had 4 children and 2 other orthodontists, I feel Dr. Vogel is a lovely person but… his practice is way over extended. You do in fact wait way to long. I waited 40 minutes just for a consultation. (Not a good way to start with a prospective client.) Office staff is not as friendly or accomodating as they could be. His practice is very modern, including video games for the kids to play with while they wait inside to be seen. —Make no bones about it, you pay for all the fancy stuff. His original quote for my kid’s teeth was 1,600 more than what 2 other orthodontist quoted me. Get a second opinion. He also just had his staff call me with the quote, did not even bother to book an appointment. Not very cool, since I had questions, she could not answer. I was also concerned with the fact that his adjustment appointments are scheduled during school hours. This makes it difficult for parents and child. Finally, I don’t feel he can be a good orthodontist when you have more clients than you can reasonably handle. Again, he is a nice guy with a great demeanor but he is pricey and his office is way to busy.

I met Dr. Vogel 1995ish after he took over for my first orthodontist, Dr. Ingram.
Dr. Ingram was a skilled orthodontist. My friends got their braces here, my sister slept with headgear for a few months thanks to him. Even Fremont’s Olympic star got her braces with Ingram. In the office hallway, Kristy Yamaguchi autographed a photo, «Thank you Dr. Ingram for my gold medal winning smile.» Wow… a real star. Since Kristy and I both have great smiles, you know that Dr. Ingram’s work was top notch.
However, I was never too fond of Dr. Ingram’s roughness. He worked with a detailed eye and his fingers were nimble as he twisted wires to wretch my teeth into place. But, my lips would crack and mirror reflections showed drips of blood in between my teeth. Oh… Dr. Ingram was not cruel nor callous but after thousands of young patients, he was probably more focused on just the teeth work than this teen pointing at the horrors of blood in her mouth.
Then, Dr. Vogel showed up. As a teen, I was awestruck at how caring this younger orthodontist took care of my teeth. He was everything an 18 year old could want… skilled and detailed (so I could have a prom– perfect smile) but also sweet and caring. He was sympathetic when my inner cheeks were scored by the wires and verbalized every move he was about to make. No surprises. I liked that. In short, he was awesome. I was starting to develop a mini-​crush on my orthodontist.
In my final visits as a teen, the office placed a wire in the back of my teeth to act as a retainer. I left the office, went to college, graduated, found a career, and a husband.
Fast forward to 2008, today. That wire snapped and I needed it repaired. I asked my regular dentists to fix it but they didn’t have proper equipment. With no where else to turn, I Unilocaled Dr. Vogel and thank goodness, his office was still around albeit, a different location. The office was able to give me a same day appointment, and after some paperwork, I was talking to Dr. Vogel in 15 min. (I dislike doctors or dentists that over book and make patients wait.)
We caught up, and that mini-​crush resurfaced as a 10 second blush. After the pinkness subsided from my cheeks, Dr. Vogel inspected my wire, consulted with me the options, and completed the repair work. Just like he was 12 years ago, he told me every move he was about to make so there was zero surprises. I really appreciate such fine work especially on MY teeth.
Although I didn’t attend any proms this year, I feel utterly happy about Dr. Vogel’s work. I even feel appreciative that Dr. Ingrim selected the perfect person to take over his practice. I left the office completely satisfied and noting that as soon as I have kids, we would return for orthodontist visits.
Other aspects that I love about this place– easy parking, easy drop off, close to Paseo Padre so when afternoon traffic hits, I don’ t have to deal with 880. Also, the supporting staff. I saw an assistant I met as a teen. It is a great place to work! Luanne!
