Hilltop Gifts

This is a crazy cute store! It has anything an enthusiastic fan of animé or any cute things would love! My friend and I had come in a while a go to check out the store and see what they have. They have everything from Totoro plushes to Pusheen!
The owners told us that Pusheen is a very popular item there, and encouraged us to buy them before they sold out. Although they were a little out of our price range.
There are a lot of unique gifts here that you’ll love. The school supplies are absolutely adorable, and very affordable. We didn’t buy anything, although many things were tempting.

Really love this store! My dad asked if I could come to this store while I was going to get Gong Cha. They supply kawaii squishies, animé, kpop, and more! The owner was very nice! My mom had talked a lot with her, haha.

I have lived in Fremont for 23 years and I just discovered this little gem via Unilocal.As others have commented the owner is super nice, gives suggestions once she sees what your into, and best of all, she does not follow you around the store.

I’ve been coming here for years. Even if my visits are once a year, the shop owner (Susanna) will remember my name and what I was up to the last time we met =)
When you first walk into Hilltop Gifts it will feel like you’re walking into a rainbow or better yet a bag full of Skittles! You will always find something that you’ve never seen before in a color you wouldn’t have expected! Seriously where else can you find a stuffed alpaca in pink AND green?!
Do yourself a favor and check out this local Mom & Pop shop of adorableness and buy that special someone in your life a item that will surely bring a smile to their face~*~

I love gift shops and I always get overly excited when I find one. This one especially is great because there is a variety in stationary goods, animé, plushies, and some old school animé merch like stickers and posters! The owner Susanna is super nice and sweet, she’s very helpful and knows her merchandises! I come out of the store happy with new cute goodies :)

The service they give at this store is top notch. The owner is extremely nice and helps you out when ever you don’t find what your looking for. I’d come visit this place every time in a while when I’m in Fremont.

There’s a section of new manga for only 2 $, which Susanna said was very popular. I bought a bunch of things and she very nicely wrapped them all up in gift wrap and tied it with a bow for me. Great store to shop for presents in! Thank you kind shop owner!

I drive all the way from Union City just for this store. This store has almost everything animé (noticeably the more classic and old school animé). There are a lot of plushes and many other merchandise you can think of, despite being a somewhat small store. Despite being an animé-​dominant store, there is a K — pop section (main reason why I go here) with posters. The people that own this store are really nice too! They always make it a welcoming experience each time I go here. Living in the East Bay, I find this store a good alternative to similar stores in SF Japantown.

Finally!!! An Asian stationary store to fulfill my inner six-​year-​old needs *and without the rude staff typically found in places like this*
While it may look small on the outside, it’s packed on the inside with stuffed animals, car air fresheners, Yugioh cards, stationary, key chains, and other little knick-​knacks. The older man who helped me out was so kind and accommodating. I never felt like I was being followed, so I took my time which resulted in me buying more than I had planned on (only because everything is unbelievably cheap compared to Sanrio stores.)
I wish I had known about this place when I was a kid. Support mom and pop stores like this!

My sister and I were enamored with all the cute products in the store! It is a great place to find gifts or just random trinkets to give away. Susanna was also super helpful and friendly. She carefully wrapped all my gifts and provided either a card or sticker with them (and I bought a lot so it took significant time to wrap them all and all for free!). What was also nice was if you fill an entire stamp card ($ 10/​stamp), you get $ 10 to use in any of their three stores in the South Bay! My only fear is that I will spend much more than $ 10 again! Sometimes it is difficult for the kid in me to practice restraint in such a cute store like this…

Went in today to grab some gifts for my little cousins and they had a great selection from hello kitty, to pokemon, to even despicable me! Super cute. They have an awesome selection of school supplies too!
I had trouble picking the gifts out so Susanna, the owner, helped give me some really good suggestions and she even gift wrapped them for me for FREE! it was super cute. She had a variety of wrapping to fit the occasion. I bet my cousins will love it! Definitely a one stop shop for all the kids or whoever that loves cute things.

I don’t remember the owners name but she is really sweet, friendly, and charming. If you’re into animé or any other Japanese figurines and accessories like hello kitty. Then this is the place for you. You can’t walk into a store like this and not buy something. I guarantee that you’ll see a few things that you want. Not expensive like other similar Japanese figurine stores that I’ve been to. Reasonable prices and great deals at Hilltop Gifts.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for the last 10 years (since my high school years) for all my gift needs. Whether it was for my little cousins, my girlfriend, or bulk party gifts, I was always able to find the best and rare gifts at great deals. I don’t even bother with the other big name retailers or similar stores because they have everything here at better prices too!
Also a great plus is the owner, Susanna, who is really sweet and builds relationships with her customers to ensure every gift is in the interest of the purchaser and receiver. Admirably, she is also small business owner that gives back to the community by providing awesome deals for local schools and even provides summer jobs to students.
What isn’t there to like about this place?!

I didn’t get the owner’s name but she’s really sweet, charming and knows how to take good care of her costumers. I just both a stuffed toy worth of $ 9.99 plus she wrapped it nicely with a card on it. Totally worth dropping by here. And ohh! They also have a store at mission, besides Sweet Coco. The owner there is her daughter :) pretty cool huh!

Susanna, the owner of this store, is such a charming, sweet, and personable woman! My second time going here was mainly because of her! If she wasn’t there, I wouldn’t have came back after my first visit. Moreover, she has all the cutest Sanrio and Japanese accessories! I always take awhile to buy gifts because she has so many options and each transaction happened to be more than $ 50! :)

Today I went here and there were Kpop related goods, cute stationary and stickers. I bought a gift set for my friend’s birthday and the owner gave me free wrapping and a birthday card ^^ It was my first time there and I had a fun time looking around: DDDD

I have a lot of friends that are girls and this store is just perfect for any gift I need to get for any occasion. There’s also a neat section of necklaces and things for guys, too.
The owner is really nice and helpful; they even gift-​wrap the gifts for you at the register! I love the merchandise and everybody has to go there at least once to really understand how cute the stuff is (:

Came here looking for a plushie pillow. The owner walked around the whole store with me helping me find the perfect one that I wanted. They also offer free gift wrapping with purchases of $ 10+? [I think], which is a nice little extra something.
I definitely recommend coming here to this mom & pop store for your cutesy fix!

Who doesn’t love glittery pens, cute stickers and lots of cute stationary items? This place carries lots of cute Japanese /​Korean stuff animals (Pucca, Domo, Hello Kitty, etc), pillows, folders, pen holder and knick knacks.
However, what I was most impressed with was their selection of pens and pencils at a reasonable price. It won’t cost an arm and leg like some places *cough maido cough* where you can get similar stuff. Hilltop also has a fair amount of colored and different sizes of leads, erasers and pens to choose from.
I ended up picking up this wide mechanical #2 pencil (good for multiple choice questions filling those bubbles) — see pic, and also this stick highlighter. The stick highlighter is almost like crayon like but in a fluorescent color.
The owner was friendly and not overly pushy or the type that would hover over you as you shop. I will definitely come back if I want to pick up a cute gift or if my inner stationary whore decides she needs a fix. LOL.
