Excellent service and a great dealership alternative for your European car. I’ve been taking my BMWs there for years with no complaints. They keep track of your service records, just like the dealer would, but for a much more reasonable price. And they only do work you authorize and work with you on scheduling. Thanks Teo!

What can I say… the customer service was great and the work was great! My M3 completely died on me so I had it towed to BMW because I had extended maintenance warranty. After they ran a diagnostic for $ 190 they told me they needed to change the battery… no shit! They wanted to charge me about $ 550 for the battery and labor plus the $ 190 for the diagnostic test, all of which was not covered under my warranty. Called Teo and got another quote of about $ 200 less for the same OEM battery, diagnostic test and labor. Had my car then towed to Import motor cars to get the work done. BUT… after actually physically opening the trunk and examining the battery he found the battery compartment was filled with water from the recent rain we had just had. The battery was literally under water!!! I’m pretty sure if BMW had spotted that they would have told me something, so I’m concluding that BMW service charged me $ 190 to tell me the car was dead and needed a new battery… which I already knew. Anyways, long story short, Teo examined everything and started on all the work for the car keeping me updated over the phone since I had never actually met the guy until the work was practically done. He kept me updated on pricing and time spent on the job. Overall great experience and great work for a much better price!

Teo and staff worked on our vehicle and the results were excellent and price was reasonable. The job appeared to be straight forward, but after examining the car, Teo informed me that more intricate work was necessary on the power steering/​hydraulic fluid issue. It has been about 6 weeks since completion of the work. Car operates like a new car! No leaks!
He was able to start working on the car right away and called exactly when the car was done. Very considerate in terms of time.
We would rate this business and the quality of work as «top drawer». I didn’t know what to expect and was highly satisfied. The vehicle required an experienced repair and Teo fit the bill. Glad to find a shop close to our house.

I have been a customer of Import Car Motors since 2011. I have an older MBZ which requires
periodic attention. Teo and his brother Hakan treat all of their customers with outstanding courtesy and a level of technical competency which is rarely observed these days. I Have been so impressed with their knowledge and nuances of MBZ repairs. Repairs are also cost efficient and always completed on time, as promised. Believe me consumers, Teo and Hakan are honest and trustworthy and deserve your support. This is my second MBZ, so I have been to a number of name shops but never again. If you want honest repairs analysis, clearly explained without rushing you, Import Car Motors should be your easy choice.

We brought our vehicle here for a last minute emergency. Ted is great. He took our vehicle in right away and was done the same day. He is honest and will get down to the point. No extra haggle with this shop. A highly recommended spot for all your Euro Car needs. We will definitely come back and was glad we found a shop locally.

I found this shop locally through Unilocal and I could not be more happier with my experience. I was in and out by the end of the day. His team is very reliable. Ted is honest. I will definitely will be back again. He will also work with Route 66 or any other extended third party warranty insurance you may have.

Brought my 2002 Audi TT with 133k miles here after reading the reviews from Unilocal.My car had a bunch of issues; coolant leak and creaking noise from the suspension. Teo diagnosed and determined what was broken and worn out and needed replacement within hours. He took care of the car and made maintenance recommendations on worn out parts while the car was up on the lift. The leak is now fixed and no more suspension issues. He’ll be the guy I go to going forward for my car repair and maintenance.

Teo (pronounced tee-​oh) serviced my 2009 Audi A4 the same day I dropped it off. He is extremely knowledgeable but also very honest. He inspected the entire car and noticed that one of my headlights was out. He brought up my car’s records and explained everything in detail It is hard finding a mechanic you trust with integrity when you don’t understand much about cars or repairs but I found it in Teo. Totally recommend them for German and import cars!

Came in to get a price on a car and the man who helped me was so friendly. He looked around to find me the exact fit for what I was looking for. Would recommend if your looking for someone honest to sell you a car.

Quality work and great service. Work was performed in reasonable time. Teo was able to figure out the problem and fixed it on first attempt. Many times even dealers can’t figure out «or duplicate» the problem. But these guys are awesome. My car is running far better than when I took in. Thanks Teo and the team! I would definitely go back for any future repairs and would recommend anyone to take their Benz to Teo before taking it to a dealer.

My wife’s VW Beetle is a bit of a mystery to the average auto shop. The local Firestone really made a mess of things the last time we brought in the car for maintenance. Looking for an alternative, I found Import Motor Cars. Although there were only a handful of reviews, they were all five-​star and most involved European luxury brands.
So I brought the VW in for its 100K milestone maintenance. Teo was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the car… to the point that it felt like mind reading. He asked about the history of the car and was able to guess the large number of problems that other, inexperienced shops had run into with the car. He instilled a lot of confidence as he explained the various aspects of the service package.
When we got the Beetle back, we were very pleased. He was able to change the cabin air filter that no other shop could touch (including a VW dealership in Fresno) and fixed a pesky headlight issue that had been caused by another shop.
As far as price goes, Teo’s prices are not prohibitively high, but he also is not cheap. This isn’t a bargain auto shop. In this case, however, you certainly get what you pay for. It’s also better to pay a little more up front and have things done right rather than go on the cheap and have issues crop up shortly after service. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry here, as almost any shop can handle servicing them. But for those with a Euro car, you can’t ask for a better shop.

ok folks I am back. Teo once again never fails. I had a problem with my c-​class mercedes sensors and trouble with my work schedule getting it to the shop. After me rescheduling almost 1 million times, I brought it in and they got started. They have the best customer service and they always remember you. Even after a delay with triple A coming to replace my battery onsite, they were still so nice even though it cost them a couple of hours of working on the car. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. I even received a comp’d rental car so I can continue my day. Teo is fair and honest. Bye bye mercedes dealership. Import motor cars will always be my go to location. Too bad my other car is not an import otherwise I would take it there for service.

My husband Bill and I went there on a whim as we were not happy with our ex-​regular car repair shop after 10+ years. We will never go anywhere else again. Fair prices, work done in time promised and Teo stands by his repair work to be done correctly.

Nice place. Had problem with my BMW bearing and he did a wonderful job. Now I took my other car there. Felt very trust worthy. I would definitely recommend this place.

I don’t know why I didn’t come here sooner. Teo is VERY knowledgeable and WILL tell you when you are being misinformed about your Benz. They fixed my brakes and rotor and complete my service A. You know when you buy a luxury car, obviously the dealer doesn’t show you a pricelist of how much it would cost for maintenance service, brakes, etc. Teo’s prices are definitely 50% less. Service A would cost me around $ 250 at the dealer and it was $ 135 here! he even shaved 10% of the total cost as a discount. I ended up returning a 10 days later because my check engine light came on. He did a 20 min test and it said the catalytic converter was clogged. the Dealer had the entire part available for $ 1150!!! he suggested a rebuild. none was available, so he kept it for the day and personally worked on my car! So for now I’m good until the check engine switches on but the best part was he TOTALLY hooked me, he saw how down I was (i just spent $ 1500 ten days ago and now another problem that needed to be fixed=() but he comped me a rental car from enterprise cars across the street and when i picked up the car he said «No charge and have a very merry christmas !» I am so thankful for his expertise and great service they did on my car. I might just buy another benz and just have import motor cars do ALL my service from the beginning! THANKS TEO!

I’ve been taking my old worn out, tired Volkswagen Beetle to Tao for years.
How it started was I had and appointment down the street from Import Motor Cars at 8:00AM on a Saturday, my husband and I wait in the rain for 20 mins. The place looked bad I didn’t get a good feeling about it. And no one showed up.
So we decided to leave, as we were driving down the road, my husband said theirs a shop open why don’t we talk to them. So we did, the shop was open and it had hot coffee and tea, snacks. They pulled my car
right in. They told me what the problem was and the cost and then they set up a loaner car, no cost to me, within no time I was on my way… Great business skills, and customer service. I love those guys.
They’ve worked for many years on my VW at different times, they even suggested that I retire the car and get a different one. And you know they didn’t have to tell me that they could have just kept taking my money and fixing my old tired car but they were honest with me all the way. And they new how much I loved that car too.
Now I have a different car and I just go to visit them. Why, because there cool people. There really should be more guys like these two guys out in the work place. One day they included me in there lunch hour. I really could go on and on about how nice these guys are, but I think you get the drift. Go there and don’t wait!

I’ve been taking my car to Import Motor Cars for many years.
Basically, because they have the qualities I look for in an auto repair shop.
1. They know their stuff. Both men seem to have a great depth of experience with imports of all makes, models, and years. It’s much more comforting to be told «yes, that’s a usual trouble spot for BMWs of that year» than to hear something like I’ve heard from other repair shops — «I’m not sure why that went bad — better replace the whole thing.»
2. They treat me well. They greet me with a smile. They listen to what I have to say. If necessary, they drive around the block with me so I can point out a problem noise. They don’t make false promises about when I’ll get my car back. They don’t make me feel stupid for not knowing something. They take the time to explain what parts need to be replaced and why. The have never failed to offer me a loaner car or a ride back to my house. They call me every day with a status update. They don’t seem to be in it for the money — they were just as attentive and helpful when fixing my sticky hood release cable as they were when they did a major suspension overhaul.
3. Their prices are reasonable. I always get an accurate quote up front for what it will cost me. If they find additional issues they call me right away to let me know. Teo (the owner) discusses various options with me, depending on the type of repair. Sometimes refurbished parts are just fine, and will save me a bundle. Other times only new parts will do. I usually take Teo’s recommendations — when I don’t (primarily if money is tight at the time), he doesn’t give me grief. I’ve never walked in the shop to pick up my car and had the bill be radically different from what I expected. I can’t say the same for some dealerships.
4. My car always leaves the shop running great. Whether I brought it in for a new transmission or a simple tune-​up, the car feels solid and drives well. It’s important to me to feel that difference. I don’t like driving off in a car that feels the same as when I brought it in, after having spent a few hundred dollars to fix it. And there are the little things, like when I bring it in I’m a bit low on oil, but when I drive away the oil light is no longer lit. I know they’ve added oil — but they never say anything, and it’s not on the bill. That’s the kind of pride in work that I myself take, and it’s refreshing to see it in people I trust with my car.
I would recommend Import Motor Cars to my friends, which says a lot to those who know me — I don’t make recommendations lightly.
