At Warm Springs Optometric Group, Dr. Michael Fauria and Dr. Susan Pirrone provide you with comprehensive state-​of-​the-​art vision examinations. This assessment allows the doctors to provide corrections for nearsightedness, farsightedness, presbyopia and other refractive conditions. In addition, they perform a thorough examination of sight threatening conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol. Both doctors are certified in managing and treating eye disease and will prescribe appropriate medications for your eye conditions.

In addition to this, Warm Springs Optometric also offers state-​of-​the-​art technology to provide you with eye exams without dilation! The Optomap gives a five second retina scan that provides our doctors with a digital map of the retina. The map allows for the detection of disease including the sight threatening diseases of glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure and macular degeneration.

History

Established in 1985.

In September of 2003, Warm Springs Optometric Group moved into our brand new state– of-​the-​art, 3000 square foot facility in the Franciscan Center. We designed the office for the ultimate in patient comfort and convenience. You’ll notice our spacious patient lounge and kids play room, five computerized private exam rooms and two full size pretest rooms. You’ll enjoy browsing through our beautiful frame display area featuring over 600 designer frames including Fendi, Prada, Christian Dior, Juicy Couture and Giorgio Armani. We spent a long time and a lot of effort to design this office and we get a lot compliments from our current patients. Please come see us at our new location.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dr. Michael F. Fauria was born and raised in the East Bay, graduated with academic honors from Moreau High School and received a California State Scholarship award to the University of Santa Clara. After graduating with honors at Santa Clara in 1980 he entered Optometry at University of California at Berkeley. He received his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1984.

Following graduation Dr. Fauria began Warm Springs Optometric Group with Dr. Susan M. Pirrone also a U.C. Berkeley Optometry graduate and classmate. He and Dr. Pirrone shared time in the office while also working outside the practice. Dr. Fauria was hired as the Optometric Clinical Director for Gardner Family Health Network in San Jose. His work was primarily with senior citizens and under-​served Latino populations in San Jose. He gained valuable and extensive knowledge in the treatment of eye disease; he developed clinical guidelines for cataract and glaucoma evaluations as well as laser surgeries for diabetics.
