At Misery Loves Co. we specialize in all things terribly awesome… including but not limited to custom cakes! All cakes are made one of a kind with your idea in mind. Cakes are painstakingly crafted in a clean and sanitary environment. Completed cakes are delivered to your location the day before or day of your party in a cake box ready to be the delight of the party. (Delivery within 40 mile radius of Fremont)

Cakes range in price dependent upon number of slices, design and detail requested. In general cakes range from $ 175-​$ 4500+. Please keep in mind that we work exclusively with fondant. Fondant is expensive! Most bakeries charge anywhere from $ 12-​$ 30 per serving for a cake covered in fondant! We try our best to stay competitive and offer reasonable prices to our customers, but when you want stuff sculpted, or 3-​dimensional, or carved… It’s gonna cost you, because it costs us.

All the products created at Misery Loves Co. were all originally created to delight the hearts of my two twisted children. Over time these creations were being requested by friends and family who wanted in on the fun, weirdness and cake.

Aaron lived up to his great expectations and great reviews! The cake was awesome and was the hit of the party. This is truly an artist, not just any cake maker. After dealing with my share of high maintenance bakeries I found Misery Loves Co. on Unilocal and have been coming here for all my cake needs since. Aaron is always very responsive, on time and professional. I’ve used Aaron numerous times and every time the cake is the hit of the party. He listens to every detail you tell him and really makes the image you have in your head come to life. Not only do the cakes look amazing… they’re delicious. I wish I could give no stars at all! A friend got a cake made. It tasted really bad! Was very dry! Not fresh at all. The design was also not at all impressive. It was a cake worth $ 200.
There are far more better cheaper with better taste is Fremont. I would suggest to avoid this place. You might end up wasting money. Was getting offers from other bakers for almost half the price. Do try other places than this one.

I ordered the cake looking at the Unilocal reviews however my cake was all messed up .to start with it wasnt a very pretty cake. the taste was also not good. It was dry .I had expected a lot more in terms of taste and decoration after paying $ 180. I guess there are better options in Fremont after looking at my experience.

Was extremely impressed with the cake that Aaron personally delivered to my son’s first birthday party. I knew exactly what cake I wanted and Aaron made an exact replica. He was extremely responsive, friendly and thorough. The cake itself was moist and delicious. Totally recommend this bakery for your cake needs!

I’m so happy I found this bakery! I was looking for a bay area sports cake for my brothers 16th birthday and came across a photo from this bakers work on Pinterest. Aaron was so accommodating and took my request with just a weeks notice and the price was SO reasonable compared to another baker I’ve used in the past. I hosted a birthday party for about 100 people last Sunday and wanted not just a cake but a show stopping centerpiece. Aaron took my vision and turned it into a reality. It was the center of attention and people are still calling, emailing and texting and the cake is STILL the main topic of conversation! He is easy to work with, has excellent communication skills, was prompt and did exactly what he said he could do. I have nothing but praise and zero complaints about Aaron and his work. You will not be disappointed in trusting him; customer service, performance, and making a stand out cake that is not only amazing but delicious and reasonably priced. Will not hesitate to call on him again for my own cakes but more than happy to refer others.

Loved our under the sea cakes. Aaron was great to work with. Went above and beyond to work with me and my complicated schedule! Our kids were so happy with their special cakes! They were perfect, matching theme yet unique for each twin. :) The cake itself was delicious, we couldnt stop eating it.

I’m so glad I chose Aaron to make a cake for my son’s 1st Birthday party! He was nice enough to fit our cake in to his busy schedule. Communication was primarily through email and he was quick to respond. He provided some options for us and our budget and was very informative with the types of cakes he makes. The transaction piece was also quick and easy.
My son’s birthday had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme and I provide Aaron with a few photos for suggestions. He assured me he would create an awesome custom cake. I didn’t know what to expect when he delivered the cake but it was awesome! Everyone at the party was amazed with the cake and also how it tasted! Would definitely recommend Aaron to make your custom cake!

I cannot rate Aaron enough! I ordered a customized cake with short notice and he bent over backwards to accommodate! Delivered on time and the whole ordering/​paying process was no hassle at all. Aaron created the perfect cake for my son’s 13th birthday party! He was able to create the cake in a short amount of time. He was extremely booked and busy, but was kind and willing to accommodate my request. He responded to emails quickly and arrived and set up the cake on time. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Aaron is awesome and the 80s cake he made for my birthday party was totally rad! All the beautiful cake pictures speak for themselves, but what you can’t appreciate from a picture is the incredible customer service experience you get when you order from Misery Loves Co. From the very first email, Aaron was polite, prompt, and totally understood what I wanted. I told him my basic vision of the cake and he took the theme and ran with it. Even though he was already booked, he squeezed my cake into his busy schedule! What I got for my birthday was all I imagined and more… and everyone at the party loved it and kept asking where I got it from. It’s not just how great it looked, but also how great it tasted! Most of the cake was red velvet w/​cream cheese frosting and R2 was chocolate with banana cream… soooooo good!
I highly recommend Aaron at Misery Loves Co if you want an epic cake that looks AND tastes great!

Aaron is very prompt on his emails, I got in touch with him via Unilocal one week before the event and we corresponded via emails for our cake needs, he graciously squeezed us into his already booked calendar… we had a batman cake idea for our son’s bday and he got what we wanted exactly. The outside was fondant and designed to be batman themed and the inside was a fantastic moist chocolate cake with strawberry cream filling, every guest at our party became a big fan. Glad to have found him here and iam glad we went with Aaron for our cake.

Two weeks before my sister and (now) brother in laws wedding shower when I realized that all details were covered except the cake! I contacted several companies and unfortunately everyone said that they were book, including Aaron– BUT he was the only one that could pencil me into his already booked schedule. Talk about being a life saver!
Their theme was Gatsby, their colors were black and gold, and they had a «VW» logo (their initials) all of which Aaron was able to incorporate into the very detailed final product. Hands down, it was the best red velvet/​cream cheese cake I’ve ever had! The details were on point, the cake was moist, and it was definitely a hit!
Aaron responds to emails promptly, is easy to talk to, and is very professional! I highly recommend him!

Aaron did a great job on my son’s custom rocket ship cake! Called last minute like 4 – 5 days before I needed it, shot him a couple of pictures on what I wanted it to look like and voila! A masterpiece made of yummy frosting and chocolate cake. Also had him customize a couple of Toy Story green alien cupcakes which were fabulous. Even the employees at Pump It Up were taking pictures of the cake/​cupcakes (and they see a lot of cakes daily!) love love loved it!

Let me start of with a little story:
So we have this friend who has a husband thats a super health nut. He is one of those hours at the gym type person; eats really clean type of guy. He’s one of those that goes to a Filipino party (and for those of you guys that have been to Filipino parties, you know the amount of food served is no joke) and he eats carrots, celery, salsa, some salad and a little bit of noodles.
We cut the cake and serve it and this guy finished his slice of cake, then ask for another slice and finish it too!
Aaron has a good variety of cake flavors and filling to choose from. The one I wanted for my husband’s cake was actually chocolate with a peanut butter filling which was not on the list but he was so gracious to accommodate my request. It turned out really delicious! The chocolate cake was really moist and the filling was a really good chocolate cream/​peanut butter ratio. Husband loved it and so did our guests!
As for the design, he did the customization exactly as I requested. It was awesome! He even used a custom board for the cake to complete the design.
He replied very quickly when I contacted him and he is very accessible through email and text while working on the ordering process. He also offers cake delivery.
We are so impressed by the cake work and the taste that we already have requested another cake from him for a future event!
