The French toast is good. I like Chinese style French toast. It has peanut butter inside and I always ask them to substitute the syrup for sweetened condensed milk. The place looks old and outdated but I don’t need fancy for good HK style food. Pork chop with rice is great too… I’ve not tried other dishes.

This place is close to my house but the service here is mediocre. Whenever I get pan fried noodle with a meat & celery, they get so confused about what celery is because it’s not on their cashier screen but it’s on the menu. They’re nicer to people who speak Chinese than people who speak English. When I call for pick up in English, they’re always so rude. For example they’ll say your order number is ___& hangs up on you right away without a thank you or bye. So now I’ll have my mom call them in Chinese for pick up & they’re so calm & polite. –I’ve had Portuguese chicken over spaghetti. It also has chunks of potato. The spaghetti is flavorless without the sauce. –One of my favorites is pork chop over rice. The sauce is some kind of ketchup /tomato sauce & it tastes really good. –Beef & scramble egg is literally just a huge scramble egg with beef over rice. –Beef chow fun is also one of my favorites. It’s rice noodles with beef. –Pan fried noodles are really good but sometimes I think it feels like a heavy meal since there’s a lot of oil. –I’ve also had macaroni/ramen & ham soup. It’s pretty good if you just want something small & simple. — The sandwiches on the menu are pricier than the sandwiches in the fridge because they actually make it & it’s warm & you can customize those. I wish I can try other things on the menu but I’m always hesitant because they don’t have pictures & I always have to imagine or guess how it’ll turn out.

I am a regular here. Usually get breakfast here on my way to work. I have been coming here since it first opened. The breakfast is great! Cheap and fresh. The people there are ok, they are very fast with preparing the food!

Think of this as a chinese diner. They have noodle and rice dishes along with dessert, coffee/tea, bubble tea, asian baked goods, and box drinks. They only accept cash. I think their bubble tea is good enough for a quick fix, but not something to go out of your way in getting. There’s a couple of seats and tables located in the front of the shop. I also really dislike parking around here. It’s by a busy intersection of the LIE and a corner gas station and another gas station across the street. There is also a nearby firestation. Parking can be a real pain if all you want to do is grab a quick drink.

The sad thing is the ignorant worker believed she was doing the right thing by taking care of the«real customers» Asians. I WAITEDONLINELIKEEVERYOTHERCUSTOMER. I WASTHEONLYNON– ASIANPERSONINTHESTORE. Now more recently I bought food and was eating at one of the tables. Again I was the only non-Asian person in the entire store. The same employee from last time came over to my table and asked me if I could leave. I asked her why, and she said because the customers would like to sit down and eat. My thing is am I NOT A CUSTOMER? Wish they didn’t have such ignorant employees.

This is more of a 3.5 star review. Since time of review, I’ve been here numerous times. This is very good place to get my HK café type food fix in Queens. I don’t believe I came across something like this elsewhere in Queens. Now my number one preferences is still in Manhattan, but sometimes I can’t make that breakfast menu pending where I’m coming from. The HK tea is solid and strong, and the food is pretty cheap. I also came here for a beef pan fried noodle, and that was alright for not being in Flushing. Saves me extra 10 minutes of commute time and maybe another 30 minutes saved looking for parking. Pretty much tried each of thier breakfast menu, if you’re looking for an idea I like the oatmeal with the Hong Kong style tea combo. My gripe here is really how not clean the place is. Reminds me of busy time in a McDonalds when the staff hasn’t caught up cleaning the tables during a rush hour or swept the floor. I’m not expecting a red carpet walk in, but maybe someone take a towel and broom. All in all — solid Hong Kong food for my craving and not expensive. Could work on cleaning and customer service a tad. I’d still plan on going, but with my gripes. 3.5 stars — anything less I probably wouldn’t come back so often.

Came here for the bubble tea only because my regular place was closed. The service was quick and the place looks like it’s mostly known for its food. The bubble tea was just ok. I’m not sure I will be coming back here.

Ughhhhhh. OK, hear me out. I love their noodle soup with the fried egg on top, inexpensive and a HUGE portion. Many people I work with love eating this during the winter months. I love their selections of pastries and baked goods. The green tea roll is my favorite! Very light and delicious! I USED to love their bubble tea… and then… I watched my co-worker slurp up a sip of the bubble tea, and pull a cockroach out of her mouth. Yes… ate a cockroach on accident that was in her tea. It’s probably an unfair action on my part, but I don’t think I can ever eat here again after this experience! And I used to come here a lot! No getting passed that though, sorry!

First, we knew something is wrong when they don’t have a menu. All they did was point to the overhead menu when we asked for a paper menu. The only paper menu the cashier possess had wrong prices on them! Second, the place is messy; the floor and mats were very dirty! Look like they do not spend much time on cleaning and washing, especially the floor. At the front of the store their window and glass door also need a serious cleaning. Third, they got our two orders wrong, what we ask for was not what they cooked and they were actually frustrated with us when we complained. Yes, the price is low but if you are OK with the service and the sanitary conditions then this is a place you’ll be comfort it.

This little bakery/HK diner will set you back to the 1990’s with the faded«No poker playing» handwritten signs around. Their baked spaghetti are comforting especially when I’m hungry with an upset stomach. Their bubble tea is very powdery and artificial tasting, do not get. It’s by the LIE in a very residential area so plenty of parking nearby.

So this review is really only for 1 particular dish — the beef chow fun. :-) I’ve been here a couple of times, and I always order the same thing to go. It’s really good, and not too greasy(which some places are to keep the noodles from sticking). Definitely getting beef chow fun here again!

Came here for a quick lunch and we ordered some noodle soups which were good just like any other tea shops. I was excited to see pineapple bun w/butter slice on the menu since that was something I’ve been craving since 2008 when I went to Hong Kong so I ordered that — what a waste! The pineapple bun wasn’t good and was cold — the least they could’ve done was heat it up and put the slab of butter in it. There are a few tables to sit at but there were so many high schoolers loitering around inside and outside. We even overheard them talking about pot and trying to sell it to their friends. The place was also pretty dirty. I don’t recommend coming here at all.

This place does it if you need a quick fix for Hong Kong style food(cha chan tang). Things like milk tea, Hong Kong style ham/egg soup noodle etc. But don’t have high expectations. Its mediocre but does the job if you are too bothered to go to Flushing or Chinatown. One Unilocaler didn’t like that their buns were cold and said they should heat up and add butter like they do in Hong Kong. Actually, thats also become somewhat of a delicate food in HK, most bakeries don’t offer it, only at old school«Cha Chan Tang» so not to mention NY.

This review is for the bubble tea. I was thirsty coming home from school and I was craving Bubble Tea. Closest thing was this place. WORSTBUBBLETEA I’VEEVERHAD. Probably the worst drink I’ve ever paid for. I paid $ 3 for a watered down, tasteless, lukewarm tea with shitty tapioca. I actually saw her dilute the tea in front of me — I didn’t realize what she was doing at first. but I saw that the tea only filled the cup half way, then did something that I couldn’t see — that was her pouring water with the tea. What. The. Hell. And the person taking my order didn’t understand half the words I said. I literally had to repeat almost every word lol. They can’t even do a basic milk tea right. :|

This place is like the other 168 Tea Shop on Main Street since this is a franchise. There is plenty of street parking here, as this place is right next to a residential area. This tea shop is better than the other tea shop on main street for one reason, this place has Chow Mein(fried crispy noodles). If you do order that, be extremely careful because it’s very hot and you don’t want to burn your taste buds, you want to save your taste buds so you enjoy every bite of those crispy noodles.

Pros: Good, cheap, fast. Food comes out hot, bubble tea is hot. Easy parking Con: Crowded, small and bad service. only 4 –5 tables… I suggest getting it to go during prime time

Cheap, fast, and easy, just the way I like it! Wait a minute… But all jokes aside, this bakery is great for quick, informal lunches with bubble tea and friends. They serve everything from standard bakery staples(buns, sandwiches, coffee/tea) to lunch/dinner-sized portions of noodle soups and rice dishes in Styrofoam containers, and it’s cheap! I got a satay beef soup with a fried egg and instant noodle(you can also choose macaroni, vermicelli or wide noodles), and although I can taste the MSG in the soup, it was still filling and tasty. My friends got curry chicken over rice, which came with a lot of rice and what seemed to be not as much meat but she couldn’t finish off the meat in the end, and French toast, which was pretty good. We also got lemon tea, which was a bit too sweet for my taste in the beginning, but once the ice melted, it tasted just fine. I’ll be back for sure to try the rest of their menu.
