DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR, PETS, AND FAMILY HERE! My father and brother juat went in to get something checked out and was service by Roger lockhart or lockheart, he is the service assistance manager, (i believe) he told my father that he needed to change something to see if it work, becuse the one my father currently have was not working. So GMC serviced his car. BUT ONLY TO MAKE IT WORST. My brother and father went back to tell Roger, since he suggested the switch over, but also only to get the worst service EVER. Roger wanted to charge my father for another run on his car and to charge him more for every little thing. Roger did not want to work with my father or refund him because his parts did not work on his vehicle. Basically, he left an unsatisfying customer, roger ripped him off and did not want to work with him. Best believe it, I am contacting the BBB about this.

Good Morning #GMC, Here’s how my service went today and my review for Kitahara Buick GMC, This place has terrible mechanics which will take multiple trips to fix and they will rip you off without batting an eye. Helped (or not really) by Roxann. Two things Honey, one I don’t swing that way and two you could at least kiss me before screwing me. Do not take your car here. We are out shopping for a Ford this weekend. Professional Grade Garbage at GMC.

Kitahara is overpriced on their repairs, they always have been. After receiving an outrageous estimate to repair two battery cables, I took the vehicle to another auto repair shop and got the work done for a fraction of the price. This isn’t the first time I’ve done that, and it won’t be the last. The only reason I take it to Kitahara to begin with is because it’s recommended first by GM to see if there’s any assistance they can offer for the repairs, since my car is now out of its manufacture warranty. Sometimes GM can offer assistance in repairs, sometimes they can’t. However, when they can’t, I will take my vehicle other places to get other estimates because I’m 99% sure Kitahara’s estimates are too high. Kitahara also recommended a new battery, since the one in my car was leaking acid. However, the battery is brand new and under warranty from another company. So, I took the car back to the company where I got the battery and they inspected it and there were no problems. The acid was just old acid from the previous battery which was leaking. This tells me they did not thoroughly inspect the battery, they just glanced at it and saw some old acid and assumed the battery was bad and should be replaced.

Just purchased a 2015 Yukon here and the experience was everything I could want. David was our salesman and he was professional in every way. He answered all our questions, explained all the car’s systems, arranged for some extras to be added (leather seats, LoJack, detailing) at a convenient time and followed through on everything. Unhesitatingly recommend this dealership to anyone. All the personnel with whom we came in contact were unfailingly courteous. Very much appreciated.

Steve took great care of us when we were looking for a new truck, the whole staff was great. Never pressured me, I told them what I was looking for and 3 day’s later Steve called me to let me know it was in.
They took me around the facility to show me where happens. I will definitely buy from them again.

Horrible don’t go here! They sold me a car, which cleared all the checks for no wrecks later to find out… It had been in a wreck!!! Service is pushy typical salesmen approach!

By far the worst experience, I have multiple vehicles and this dealership made me think why I ever bought a gmc. I called on a Friday morning for adding remote start to my 2014 sierra, the rep said we can schedule for Monday to have it installed. I show up Monday and nothing was ever entered into the system for my appointment. They didn’t have the parts in stock, I ended up having them change my oil which I was told should take an hour, ended up taking exactly 3 hours. I called twice to talk to service rep next day regarding my remote start and he never called back, I dropped off my truck to have remote start installed, and they still took all day to put it in. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional environment. I would much rather deal with Michael chevrolet in the future.

My 2014 Buick Enclave has 3 items that need to be fixed due to factory recall, and Kitahara does NOT have the parts! They ask me to call daily to find out if the parts have come in. Kitahara finally gets the parts and they are very rude and short.

I just purchased a GMC Denali from Kitahara and it was without a doubt the best car buying experience I have ever had. My salesman, Austin, was so knowledgeable about ever model and option, it blew my mind. For the first time ever, the salesman knew way more about the vehicles than I did and helped us select the right vehicle for the right price for our needs. I don’t think I’ll ever consider shopping at another dealer after this experience.

My review is for the service department only. My fiancé took her car in because of a starter issue. I wasn’t able to go with her because I was at work and boy did they see «sucker» written all over a 26 yr old girl coming in there alone. They diagnosed that teeth were missing on the starter and it needed replaced (good diagnosis). They gave her an estimate of $ 580!!! She called me so I called around to part stores in the area and priced a new starter with lifetime warranty at $ 170 – 190 and other shops rated the job at 1.6 hrs to replace the starter. So you’re figuring $ 200(parts) + $ 160 (labor) around $ 350 not $ 580! So i call «Roger» and he says the starter is $ 400 and it’s an AC Delco lifetime warranty. I said to Roger that this is a 10 yr old car and we don’t need a top of the line starter and I told Roger that Autozone down the street from him has a lifetime warranty part for $ 170. Roger says I really dont recommend putting a cheaper part on here cause you might just end up having to fix it again. I tell Roger that is okay with us (thanks for the sales tactic). So Roger «looks» in his inventory to tell me they have one for $ 271. I tell Roger again, how about autozone for $ 170. He says well are you sure its the right part? I said yes and he reluctantly calls Autozone. He calls me back and said they have it for $ 170 but we’d have to pick it up and we’d mark up the part because of it. So I say, okay, if we use your part what’s our total estimate. With a $ 200 cheaper part somehow the estimate only went from $ 580 to $ 430??? I ask him if he can do better and he said he could knock off 10% of the final bill. We go ahead with the repair and my finace walks out spending $ 471??? The Bill showed a total of $ 518 — 10%. How the hell did the original $ 580 bill with a $ 200 cheaper part still come out to $ 518. It came out this way because these people are crooks and take advantage of people. I will NEVER do business here and I recommend you don’t either.

4 stars is very fair. I bought a new 2013 sierra sle at the right price after rebates and full trade in value on my old car. The only reason I’m knocking one star is because I don’t like being called dude or buddy. I know I’m young (29) but I’m a business owner with a good income and decent credit score. Maybe it was the shorts and hat lol, I usually dress in business attire. I also felt like the service department needed to be a little more organized than it was. I received a pre-​survey questionnaire that asked about the tour of the dealership which I never received. Overall all my needs and concerns were addressed in a timely manner. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family. I’ve bought a few cars from different dealerships and I can always point out things that could be better with the buying process but hey I left happy with all my expectations met. I’m only 500 miles into my new truck and so far the driving (towing) experience is great.

I’ll join the list of 1-​star reviewers with my two cents. Regarding the service department, what the hell is a matter with you people?! First, they don’t return phone calls and are extremely rude and unhelpful when they do. Secondly, they try to charge you more than your estimated price by calling you after you leave and telling you they found this or that issue that needs immediate attention. The overall impression I get from the service department is– ‘you’re just another person we have to deal with, so shut up and pay us what we’re asking for’.
As far as the service contracts are concerned– they too are a rip off. I purchased the Western General extended warranty that «covers everything» (except for when you need something covered). Kitahara charges you an expensive ass diagnostic fee that will not be applied to your final bill if an issue is actually discovered. In essence, it’s a gamble, pay the fee and they MAY or MAY NOT find something wrong with your car.
I’ll never buy a vehicle from Kitahara again. They have a ton of letters on their walls comending them for their service to the community– kudos to that– but what about the service to your customers that shell out their hard earned money for vehicles that they want to service in YOUR shop— think about paying a little more attention to their needs and addressing their concerns with a dose of humility and true customer service. In short, LISTEN because you have a problem.
One last thing, as I recently discovered, do not bother making an online appointment because according to one of the service advisors, «We’re not even set up for that.» If you do, you’ll end up waiting and waiting for an email confirmation that will never come.

I moved to the area shortly after purchasing a Pontiac (a few years ago). Being new to the area, I went to Kitahara for my first few oil changes. The first time was okay other than they tried to get me to buy/​add almost everything under the sun to my service tab. The second time, they told me I had issues with my transmission (a new car. by the way) which would cost over $ 400.00. I spoke with a co-​worker who recommended that I take my car for a «second opinion.» I did, and found that I simply needed my transmission flushed (a cost of less than $ 100). Luckily, with time in the area and some good advice, I have found an awesome mechanic (CT Auto Repair), and will NEVER give Kitahara another moment of my time or penny of my money. If I need to go to a Pontiac/​GM dealer for any reason, I’ll go to Michael Chevrolet for GM, or the former Pontiac dealer in Selma.
Dear car dealers. customers are just waiting for you to try to screw us. Once we find out/​have reason to believe that you have done so, or that you have tried, you will lose us as customers forever.
And by the way. my car has gone nearly 150,000 miles since my last visit there, and my transmission is working just fine… thank you very much!

As much as we love GMC’s, I was happy to purchase locally for once from Kitihara at a good price. Was not smart enough though, to not get the extended warranty on the vehicle. Purchased the best warranty they offer, the finance manager said it covered «everything». So yesterday we took the vehicle in for service on a few warranty items. One of which was a loose speaker bracket under the dash that rattled. The service person told us that since the bracket was not broken, but just loose it was not covered under our «everything» warranty, and charged us $ 115 for the repair. What a rip off! So the moral of the story is… I will buy more GMC’s in the future… they just won’t be from Kitahara!
