Amazing and quick service … Didnt even have time to get mechanic’s name.
Thought I blew my transmission in my RV coming up the hill from Denver but these guys saved me a lot of time and money just by taking it for a quick drive.(electrical connection)
Highly recommend them!

I have gone here for 7 years and They called the cops on me for «harassment» when they refused to return my car to me.
I took it in for an oil change and to get looked over because I was leaving for a road trip to California that weekend. I was told it would be ready at noon and when noon passed I called and I asked when it would be ready and with attitude the so called manager, reed, said «no earlier than 3» (super helpful). I never received a call when my car was ready so I called the next morning and was told «there must have been a miscommunication». No there was NO communication. I went into the shop and mentioned that it was unacceptable that I never got my car back or at the very least a phone call to let me know they were keeping it overnight. Reed told me I should have known it was ready even though I never received a phone call! At this point i cut my losses tell Him I’ll pay and handed him a voucher for a free oil change that I had recieved from one of their employees the last time I was in there and he took it from me looked at it and threw it in the trash without a word to me. He ignored me left he desk and went to work on something else without resolving our issue saying «I have a shop to run» and refused to let me speak to the owner who he claimed wasn’t there. I had to find the owners number online and left 3 messages. He then called the police because I wasn’t going to leave without speaking to his boss about the disrespect he had shown me. I can not believe a business would call the police on a customer of theirs for trying to give them business. Finally the owner came out from the back he was also quite rude and I could tell he just wanted to get rid of us but actually made the manager apologize to me, he did honor the oil change and gave me 5 percent off, not enough to make me ever return to their business again.

I was recommended to go here by AAA. The shop was not able to solve my problem, and still charged me for the time the mechanic spent not fixing it. Overall customer service was rude and abrasive. I left very unsatisfied with my experience at Mike’s Mountain Motors.

Excellent service! My daughter and I were traveling from So. Cal to No. Il. When we experienced mechanical problems AAA referred us to this shop. They were very professional and sympathetic to our situation. Immediately fixed our car and had us back in the road. Highly recommended !

Too bad there aren’t zero stars. Super shady shop and even shadier employees. Told me a needed a new radiator which was going to cost well over $ 1000. Took it it big o down the street and they replaced the thermostat and some misc. hoses for around $ 250. I’ve been driving around for 3 months now with no issues. Don’t let them near your car.

I have been resident of summit county (7 yrs) and have used Mike’s Mountain in the past for simple repair diagnosis and to mount tires. I’ve even recommended them to anyone that asked for repair shops.
My past experiences at Mike’s have been pleasant, straight-​forward, and priced fairly when working with J.C.
It seems as though Mike’s has changed since I was last in for repairs (6 – 10 months ago) I called this morning to get a price quote on new tire mount and old tire disposal. I was surprised when I called and the phone was answered by Reid.
I asked Reid for some quotes and he began to verbally think out loud the prices. «So, it would be $ 20 and $ 17 and shop fees and taxes.» I asked for Reid to give me the cost of mounting 1 tire and disposing of 1 tire. Reid, once again, provided me random dollar amounts and then a total cost.
At this point, myself and Reid were frustrated at the communication breakdown. Reid hung up after telling me, «I don’t have time to do an invoice for this, if you want it done it’s about $ 70.»
I was disappointed at the lack of customer service and STILL CONFUSED at how much it would cost for my tire mount and disposal.
So, I tried again. I called and asked to speak with a manager. The gentleman said he was the manager, I asked his name and not surprisingly it was Reid, again.
I asked Reid for the cost to mount 1 tire. Reid gave me a price that was the same as he told me before to mount 2 tires. COMPLETELY CONFUSED. I asked, so what is the price to mount 1 tire. Reid became flustered after he gave me the same answer again.
Lastly, Reid was so overwhelmed with breaking down the prices and providing me with accurate, honest pricing that he told me to take my business elsewhere to the Big Uh-​Oh across the road.
In summary, the shop used to be great. Now they have simple minded, unfriendly, unwilling mechanics that don’t want your business unless they can pull the wool over your eyes.
STAY AWAY. SHADY AND UNTRUSTED!

A car that breaks down on a long road trip is bad. A large repair bill that is in the middle of a financial situation is worse. But the fellas at Mike’s not only do good work, they are compassionate and concerned, and do the best they can with the difficult situation they are in. An hour away, there are shops a plenty with ready access to parts. They are in a tiny town with reduced access. So what they cannot do in discount, they make up for with professionalism, strong work ethic, and exemplary customer service. I do not always break down in the mountains of Colorado, but when I do, I take my auto to Mike’s Mountain Motors. Stay agile, my friends.

Straight crooks! They had my car or over two weeks and the day I finally get to pick it up. Jim tells me I need a new battery and its going to cost almost $ 500. Well needless to say we didn’t replace the battery and old battery is still working. We’re locals an have used Mike’s before. I think they might be under new ownership. We will not, will not use them again.

These guys are straight shooters, which in my humble opinion is the most important characteristic a auto shop can have, I originally brought my vehicle to a chain establishment in Frisco (Big-​uh-​OH) and they recommended $ 3700 worth of repairs. I brought their estimate over the Mikes and they stated that although Big-​O got some of it right, but some of it was unneccesary, and they explained why. I walked out of Mike’s at around $ 1700 the next day. It has been a few weeks and all seems well, truck drives better then before and better then expected. Mikes Mountain Motors will get my business and my recommendation.

We took my wife’s older Honda Civic in because it developed a slight ticking, knocking noise in the right front tire as we rounded corners. I was thinking it might be the CV joints. They had the car all morning and could not find any fault with the right front steering, tires or CV joints. They told us that they couldn’t find any problems and didn’t charge us a penny for the diagnosis. After talking with them, it was clear that they gave the car a good once over. I also brought my older Toyota truck to them last year and they correctly diagnosed the air mass sensor as being faulty. I was able to take the truck home and replace the part myself but wanted to make sure I was replacing the right piece. These guys seem very honest, professional and they do what they say they’re going to do. I am not related to any of the shop owners! Had they found a problem in my wife’s car I’d have given them 5 stars. (This is the same review I posted on Google.)
