Was there once, wasn’t impressed. Since my visit, every time I drive by there are no cars in the parking lot, even at peek lunch and dinner hours. Never heard any positive feedback about the place.

Burks was okay… My wife & I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday while construction on rt 466A was going on so it wasn’t crowded. The half chicken I had was okay — moist & tender with hints of smoke while my wife had the sliced turkey which she said didn’t taste like thanksgiving because it was smoked. Baked beans, fries and sweet potatoes were good as well. I didn’t care for the cafeteria style ordering nor the bland BBQ sauces on the table. I think I’ll stick to Sonnys …

This is not a place for breakfast. First of all they don’t know how to honor the coupon that’s in the village sun. They way over charge me. They serve your food on plastic plates and with plastic breakable silverware. It took forever to get the breakfast. The grits were served lukewarm. The waffle with mushy as was the biscuit. I would highly recommend not coming here for breakfast. They gave you no butter and didn’t offer any. It’s just not a place for that I did notice a sign that says they close at 5 o’clock due to road construction and there are really trying to make up their business and breakfast but at this rate they’re not going to make up any business.

2 star service 3+ star food. I came in all smiles but was greeted with very Unpleasant counter ladies. Chicken was good but lacked real smokey flavor. Sonny’s is better. Pulled pork was tasty, moist and smoky. FRENCHFRIES were EXCELLENT. Hand cut and terrifically fried. And not greasy at all!!! Great. Cole slaw was fresh and good too. If ONLY they only nice to paying customers that were anxious to try out their BBQ.

I have not had a bad dinner here. If you come too late in the evening, there may be limited side choices, but the pulled pork is tasty and ample in size for a meal and a take home Bo’s for next day.

Sides of beans and Mac&cheese were good meats we had not very good. Ribs were dry and didn’t even have a hint of flavor or smoke. I had pulled pork very dry and bland the bark had no taste of rub or smoke. We drove by an oakwood smokehouse with a line out the Door and Burke’s was not worth the extra drive.

so dining partner suggested this place for breakfast/brunch and away we go had a walk up counter where you ordered then sat and they brought the food to you had biscuits/gravy, eggs, bacon and grits when the breakfast came out I gasped it would have been enough for 2 people there had to be at least 10 slices of bacon, 3 eggs, huge biscuit covered with good gravy — grits would have been better served in a bowl — just saying food was good, just LOTS of it will try the bbq sometime in the future

If you’re looking for some excellent bar-b-que, you want to try Burkes! Many choices and combinations! Beer and wine available too! Reasonable prices, clean and friendly. Extra sauces on tables to have it your way!

IMO, the best BBQ around! Delicious food, plentiful portions, and clean dining area. The staff is also super nice. And kids 10 and under eat free! We will definitely dine here again in the future.

The restaurant is spacious, clean and the outdoor eating area is very nice. However, the chicken was dry, turkey dry, collards and Mac and cheese were awesome! The staff is friendly and helpful with suggesting menu items.
