I have been getting my car washed at University Car Wash since they opened a few years ago and have always been impressed with the kind, professional employees, as well has the quality of the services they provide. I never have streaks on my mirrors or windows by the time I get home. I never knew how much I liked University Car Wash until I bought a coupon book for another car wash from someone selling ticket books as a fundraiser. Let’s say you get what you pay for! I’m back and my whole family gets the cars washed here, too!

I bought a bag of cheez-​it and drove home. then I noticed that the top part of the bag was stapled and shut with Scotch tape. Beware when you buy sealed food. Lol

Good service. Good gas prices and full service car wash.
Always seems busy.

Purchased 3 car washs through Groupon after having a good experience after they first opened. I moved further away so there are now places closer, but the Groupon was a good deal so why not.
After my 3 washes, they seemed to get progressively worse. Today, I went to wax the car after the was and found several places they missed along with water spots. There were still some crumbs inside that I was able to easily pick up with my fingers, so a vacuum should have picked them up.
Next time, I’ll stick to placed closer to home.

The guy who works the night shift is a complete idiot, who could barely speak English. Don’t come to this gas station, they can’t help you at all. Horrible customer service.

Terrible Terrible supervision and management, I have been in that station 3 times, I was referred by my friend who lives in the area, I live in Costa Mesa but I start using this station once a week that how often I come to Placentia, the first 2 times they did good job on when they washed my car, the third time on Thursday November 5, 2015, the car came out terrible I mean really really bad, wet everywhere, bird poop spot, when I asked for the superior he said well you choose the cheap car wash which is $ 14.99 so I even got more upset because I didn’t choose any car wash and they should suggested what I need, then I asked to talk to the station manager, well he made it worse, if a manager make situation worse that should flip burgers only, he didn’t take irresponsibility and talking down to me him and the supervisor, so I did lost it and told the supervisor off then the manager told me to get the fuck out of the gas-​station.
I admit that I told him off but I have been in customer service seminars and I assure you that if I was the manager I will never let it go this far, the supervisor was going to hit me when I told him off, Please lets boy-​cut this station

Manager is fucking Rude. He told my mom to,“GO TO HELL!.” After she gave an employee a business card.

I used to get my gas here all the time when I went to CSUF. On 9÷26÷15 around 7pm or 8pm I got a flat tire and pulled into this station. Benny (an employee there) was getting off work and saw we needed help. He could’ve easily just left us there, especially since his shift was over, but he took time out of his own Saturday night to save our night.
We also found out Dan the main cashier (I think that was his name) working that night had told him to ask if me and my friend needed help.
Benny changed my flat tire, saved us from missing our concert, and from spending $ 60 to call someone to come out without asking for anything in return. Honestly the kindest and most thoughtful man! Thank you so much!!!

HORRIBLE CAR WASH for a BLACK CAR!!!
Would give zero stars if possible. I was looking forward to getting my car washed here since I always see so many cars being washed! I assumed they did a good job… Paid 17.99 for nothing! Car was not vacuumed properly. The outside of my car was sticky not properly washed ! Told someone who works there, & they did not bother to try and fix what i was unhappy with. Never will i go back to get my car wash. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Was rudely told to leave the gas station when boyfriend hugged me and kissed me after having lunch and enjoying an Icee. Apparently the manager gets offended by affection. Especially affection between two people who aren’t of the same race. This is America, people of different races can date; it is technically legal and is completely natural. It is also wrong to tell a interracial couple to leave a store when they kiss but ignore a caucasian couple when they kiss and not tell them to leave the store. If it was store rules to not kiss in a AM PM or near a Chevron gas station I would’ve understand but the fact that this manager didn’t say anything to the caucasian couple but said something to us is just offensive. And also a kiss and hug isn’t a the equivalent of bringing a gun into the store. Word of advice to the manager, CALM YOUR TITS A KISS DOESNT CAUSE AN ATOMIC BOMB TO GO OFF. I will not be coming to this gas station ever again. I would give it zero stars if I could but I already put in a complaint with the company, 76 gas station is better anyways. Also, the car wash is a ripoff! You’re better off driving farther away to get a better deal and get your car cleaned better as well.

let me share my experience, i wish i can freaking give this place 0 stars if i could even negative stars.
i was with my girlfriend getting an icee from the machine they have inside. once we sat down to enjoy the a/​c of the small shop of this racist chevron gas station, we ate. my girlfriend and i were having a small meal, i always hug her after finishing the food she made when suddenly the worst manager walks in and comes to us saying we can’t hug. we can’t hug!!! what a load of serious crap. this is america !!! the manager’s name is kilani do not come to this gas station
my girlfriend is asian i’m american from latino roots. we hugged and gave each other a small peck on the lips, the manager kilani comes in all angry kicking us out of the store. he first said hey you cant do that in here
what the hell this is america not some middle eastern country where woman are second class citizens this racist uneducated unsophisticated load of crap customer service rep/​manager comes to us peaceful costumers with a rude attitude saying «you cant do that here, no kissing or hugging you dont like it get out»
i asked him why was he being so rude and asked if he was the manager he claimed he was, it was so ridiculous !!! he racially profiled my girlfriend and i he looked furious and directed his shouting to my girlfriend, i was about to get up and throw my drink at him !!!

I paid $ 40 for hand wax. The car still very dirty. And i don’t think my car was after wax. I can’t image that if order more cheaper. Super not recommend to other

I really like there car wash ! But the customer service inside is horrible !!!
1^st the girl kept me waiting inside then she doesn’t even apologize, instead she is rude and charges me a single dose Tylenol when I didn’t even purchase a Tylenol, then she argues with me that it’s the crv for red bull I purchased !! Then if it is so change your system so it is says crv not Tylenol !!!

I guess it’s convenient for some that want to get a car wash which isn’t bad but it’s not good either.
The gas pump asks you if you want a discount by getting a car wash after you pump your gas… how does that make sense? It should be paying the car wash and then get the discount on the gas price.
The machine will ask you for a receipt and takes forever to get to that point. Of. Course I want a receipt! I don’t wanna get trolled, so just automatically give it to me, why do I have to wait?
I’m definitely going to avoid this gas station at all costs, only reason I came here was because I was at 10mpg and had to get to a gas station ASAP.
Don’t come here, it’s expensive and a wage of time trying to get a receipt.

CAR WASH REVIEW… NOT STATION… Every time I pass through Fullerton once a month, I ALWAYS stop at this gas station for the car wash. I have not found a place yet in my area that will do such an awesome job in quick amount of time.
On this review day I got the handwax, wash and interior cleaning. Prices I think are way reasonable. Once my vehicle went through the wash its parked out in an area where all the guys work on it. While sitting in the sitting area you are able to watch just in case they miss something. So far all the times I have come they have only forgot to put tire shine on my tires once.
They wax… Clean the interior and cleaned my tires in little under 30 min. It was an average day and not super busy. Four other cars were being worked on as well. All in all I lime their car wash and only wished I had something this quick and do an awesome job for the low prices. I will be back!

They now offer a prepaid booklet. 10 washes for $ 69.99. So, the prices are pretty competitive.

So here’s my story:
I used to live near this gas station and even watched ti get built during my years in east Fullerton. I enjoyed getting my car washed there on a semi regular basis. I moved but I still work close by, so with my car on fumes I drove there on my lunch break to get a fill-​up and wash.
Gas has usually been overpriced by $ 0.10 per gallon compared to station across the street, but they discount your car wash at the pump if you want one. Prices on the sign looked reasonable, but upon closer inspection at the pump (as is becoming increasingly common with many gas stations), the price is higher for credit purchases. However, whereas most stations charge you $ 0.05 per gallon extra for using credit, this location has taken to charging $ 010 extra per gallon.
Grumbling, I filled my car and chose the discounted car wash at the pump for $ 9.99. I finished at the pump and drove my car to the was driveway. Since I was getting a discount, I told the man I wanted the Diamond Was, normally $ 20.99. I have him the keys and went inside to get the plastic voucher one needs to claim their car after servicing.
When I went up to the counter to pay the difference, it ended up being $ 11.00. I was a little confused but paid. I left the counter looking at my receipt from the pump (which the cashier had seen) and the receipt from the cashier. I paid $ 20.99 for the car wash. So where was the discount?
After going back up the cashier and getting an explanation, I discovered that the «discount» is a whopping $ 1 for every 10 gallons of gas pumped (when he figured this out he refunded me a whole dollar bill). Basically, when you purchase the car wash at the pump, you’re paying for the basic wash, normally $ 10.99 but «discounted» a whole dollar or two (or maybe more if you’re fueling a big SUV; there again, you’ll probably pay more for the washing of a large vehicle anyhow). Anything above that is the difference. None of this is really explained at the pump.
So yes, this whole time I’ve been going there to get my car washed, I really have only been enjoying a very marginal discount when getting gas & car wash, especially since I drive a car that only has a 13 gallon fuel tank.
Between paying higher for gas than compared to the station across the street, getting charged even more for using credit card (twice as much as what other stations charge for the same «convenience»), and having a murky definition of «discount,» the only reason I can think that this station is still in business is the car wash, since the Subway that used to be within the same building is long gone. The guys who wash and detail the cars here do a bang-​up job, and my car never looks as good elsewhere. It’s just a shame they’re tied to this crappy gas station.

Earlier this year my bf and I had moved to the Bastanchury and Harbor region from our old place off of Yorba Linda and Placentia. Every couple weeks I would stop by this gas station/​car wash to upkeep my car’s asthetics with a nice, discounted car wash that you could add on to your gas total.
This review is for the car wash portion of this establishment. Obviously with my review comes a 4 star rating as you can see. I am very proud to back the car washing portion of this gas station due to always having my car fully vacuumed, washed, wiped down, and dried with the aid of compressed air & towels. All of the times that I have had my car washed here were positive and I would feel like tipping a couple bucks extra just for their attention to detail.
For example, I drove those extra couple miles back here today for some gas and the car wash and noticed that when they were done, my car mats had been picked up. I was slightly annoyed that they didn’t put them back in their allotted hooks that keep them still on the floor, but then realized that they had actually taken the time to vacuum under the rugs as well as in the corners of the door. I can let the small detail of not replacing the mats slide when they take the time and care to get under the mats.
Small things like this really keep me coming back. The service here is always nice too. You pull up, and immediately greeted with a smile and directions on what to do next.
Thank you University Chevron for keeping my car Medusa looking awesome and corporate judgement ready when I go to work. Haha. :-)

If you don’t want the «cheap» gas this is great station to make use of. I wasn’t too fond their prices being off, by 10 cents from the pump to the sign. I pulled in based on the sign and left because I know down the road the 76 had similar gas and better pricing. It takes credit cards which can be good for grabbing your gallons when debit or cash aren’t available.
One thing that really determines a rating for me is ease of access. Really the best angles at this station are eastbound on Nutwood or southbound Placentia. Its not the easiest location around, and there are at least 6 gas stations within ½ mile of this spot.
Other than the gas and the location, the station does feature a decent food stop and a car wash. Have yet to make use of the wash, but the mixed reviews recently aren’t pushing me to give it a go anytime soon.

I go here when I’m too lazy to wash my own car. My visits are pretty few and far between, because I feel as though they don’t always put all of their effort into it. I usually pay $ 21.99 for the diamond wash, and I still leave with spots and streaks. They also push in my side mirrors and I always forget to adjust them before I pull away, so I’m stuck driving home in a deathmobile with only the rearview mirror to guide me. I can’t roll down the windows, after all… they’ll streak!
If you’re gonna get your car washed here, just pay for the cheap one. It’s probably the only one that’s worth it, anyway.
