Specialties

«DC Design handles everything from the smallest jobs like mounting a TV on the wall to advanced systems that can help make your dream home a dream come true.»

We provide design and installation services for media rooms, surround sound family rooms, whole house audio, whole house video distribution and system integration including reliable wifi networks. We handle controlled lighting, controlled window treatments, climate control, surveillance systems, one-touch control systems and more. One-touch control of your entertainment system (s) and/or your home automation system puts you in control.

We can help you choose between hand-held controls, in-wall controls, iPhones, Android phones, iPads, Android tablets or any combination that fits your lifestyle. Programming is everything when it comes to control systems. They can either be clunky and difficult to understand or so intuitive even grandma can watch TV. No matter how simple or complex, everyone can watch TV, even babysitters and guests when DC Design does the programming. Call today for a consultation!

If the «white glove» service from your Internet supplier or favorite big box store left you underwhelmed, we are happy to come out and finish the job for you. Also, if you have an existing home theater system and you just need some adjustments, repair, upgrades or even a little coaching, give us a call. We’re happy to help.

History

Established in 1998.

DC Design was organized informally as a part of our retail business in 1994 when it became apparent that the proper set up and calibration of surround sound systems was extending beyond the realm of anything our customers were willing to tackle. With the proper know-how and test/calibration equipment, it was possible for us to achieve significantly better performance from even the moderately priced systems. We were already calibrating televisions to SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) standards in our service department so when the need for professional help at home became apparent, we knew we were well positioned to provide it effectively.
