I came in with my puppy who was 2 days into diagnosis w/​parvo at an emergency vet and went in for a followup to see if he was getting better. Dr. Cho was so kind and told me exactly what was going on with him. He does not overcharge and try to rip you off, and wouldn’t charge you for something your pet doesn’t need. Puppy vaccinations are reasonably priced, maybe even cheaper than petco. Lucky to live so close to this vet!

They always leave my Khloe looking so cute and happy! They also tend to her when she has any medical needs. I’ve been going here for over 4 years and have always been a happy customer/​patient. The ladies at the front desk show Khloe a lot of love and make her feel at home. I totally recommend them!

I have used Doctor Cho for 3 family dogs and a cat since the mid 90s. He is a caring vet who does everything in his power to heal your animal. I was there today on Mothers Day Sunday so he could take a look at Koby who we think ingested some kind of poison effecting his liver. It is the third time he has come in during off hours to treat one of my animals. His rates are reasonable and his staff is always friendly.

Great place the staff is really nice here and it quite in This area. Makes everything feels more personal.

Dr Cho and staff at FHPC have been nothing but phenomenal to myself and all of my «kids» over the years. They’ve always been great about about my pets well being as well as helping me be a better pet owner by always offering proper education of their care to help me with their well being. Their prices are very fair and the service is great. I am very happy to have them in town!

We have 3 dogs and 2 cats went through many vets past 14years in irvine and had many bad experiences.
2 years ago we move to buena park, our neighbor refer Dr. cho… all i can say is he is the best.
We are so lucky to found great doctor for all our children.

Today was my first time coming here, after reading reviews I had mixed feelings about how my experience will be. I brought in two of my dogs, Charlie and Penelope. Charlie needed her 3^rd set of shots, the doctor and nurse was so good with answering all of my questions and was gentle with giving the shots! Penelope needed to be groomed, she was extremely matted! Here are my thoughts and results
–Great staff! Friendly and loving environment, everyone is so nice!
–Fair pricing! By fair I mean it’s at a price where I am comfortable paying because it’s reasonable and not overpriced
–excellent groomers! My dog was super matted, now she smells great, and her summer cut came out PERFECT! she was extremely happy as well :)
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, I think it’s a great place to bring your furry friends. Thank you to all of the staff that helped me with my girls today!

CHEMICAL BURNS IN OUR DOGS EYE! This place should be shut down. You bring your happy dog in and when you come back you have to rush him to a real veterinarian to treat the horrible chemical burns caused during what should just be a simple grooming!
Avoid if you love your pet. If a clinic can’t even groom a dog safely, how can you trust them to do anything else?

I decided to treat a stray neighborhood cat who had problems breathing and took him to a place closer to home. I knew the brand new shiny Mercedes’ in the parking lot were a bad sign — I was the first appointment for the day so it was either the Vet’s or the receptionist’s hah! After barely looking the cat over, I was given a $ 710 estimate. I decided to split (they made sure to charge me the $ 30 for the office visit). I called Dr. Cho’s office and he had an opening so I took the little guy in. Dr. Cho recommended 2 choices, one was the costly «let’s run every test and see» option and the other was the «well you brought this stray cat in so let’s see what we can do to alleviate suffering.» I had to take the second option not only because of financial constraints but because I knew this was an acute condition the cat was suffering and nothing chronic or life-​threatening. 2 shots later, little Chappy is sitting by my side, breathing easier and scarfing up food like nobody’s business. My initial reaction after I left the first clinic was to post a negative review on their page, but I think I’d rather give Dr. Cho the credit for being an emphatic and practical vet.

For grooming:
I bring my Australian Cattle Dog and Jack Russell Terrier to Jeanie and Bre, and they do such a great job! My dogs have come to trust them and it makes such an easier errand knowing that your dog is safe and comfy after being washed and the stresses of the process for them. They are all so sweet, friendly and really knowledgable about dogs. You can tell they’re just great dog people and care about your pet.

Dr. Cho is an excellent vet. He is honest, very competent, and his prices are reasonable. I have been bringing my dogs to Dr. Cho for over ten years. I am very pleased with his services and his staff is friendly. I highly recommend this vet!

Came here for my cat.
All staffs seem to be female which is great for my cay since she gets freaked when males are around. All staffs are super nice and the doctor cho is great. She explains well so I can understand clearly and with smile!!!
I am living this place and my cats seems ok even despite she hates hospital.

I have take 3 of my rescued dogs to Dr Cho and the staff for 3 years now and would not go anywhere else. Dr Cho is no nonsense and does not take advantage. The staff is wonderful and they have always treated my animals and myself with respect. They also groom both of my dogs and do a fantastic job.

I took my cat here a number of years ago for a second opinion regarding surgery. I gave him the paper from the other vet and he just barked «you have it right here what to do» after just looking at my cat for 30 seconds. I just looked at him and said I was leaving. He raised his voice and said «You’ll still have to pay the 50 dollar exam fee!»
I paid, and the girl at the front desk, after having witnessed all of this, said «See you soon!»
Clueless.

Only place I trust with my dogs! I know they truly care for my babies!!! They don’t try and upsell you. Thank you Dr. Cho and Dr. Suh! Even the staff is great! no complaints at all. They are all so friendly and welcoming. Next time I go out of town. I will board my dogs here.

I’ve been coming here for years for my 10 year old dog for everything from routine shots to surgery. the staff has always been incredibly nice and helpful. Dr. Cho is very prompt, which i understand may come off as if he doesn’t care. i DO wish he spent a little more time examining my dog whenever i go for check ups. the front desk will ask you what the visit is for. If you say your pet has an eye infection for example, that’s pretty much all Dr. Cho will examine. but one thing’s for sure, i trust the man to perform a successful surgery on my doggy!

I really don’t understand why this clinic is getting such negative reviews. I’ve brought four different dogs here, and I’ve never had any problems with Dr. Cho or the staff. The vet techs are very caring and kind, and Dr. Cho is a terrific vet. I understand that my review isn’t anything special, but I would stay away from reading any 1-​star reviews. Dr. Cho is NOT rude. He may not dole out the warm and fuzzies, but he cares for the animals and I never felt disrespected as a «patient.» I’ve seen Dr. Cho cry when he put to sleep some of his past doggy patients. So let’s not make it sound like this man does not care. Goodness gracious.
More than anything, I would say this clinic is very honest when it comes to proposing necessary treatments, and they have very reasonable pricing.

I took my 110lb beast German Shepherd/​Akita mix here a few months back for a limp I noticed that just wouldn’t go away, and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so sweet and caring. Now yesterday my 46lb chow mix started to limp and I found an infect cut between her pads. Poor baby wouldn’t go up the stairs. So of course it’s Super Bowl and no vet is open, but I called anyway and it connected right to the Vets personal cell phone. He was so sweet he stayed on the phone with me, while I weighed my dog just to make sure, told me to give baby Tylenol based on weight and said to call him back in an hour to see how my pup was doing! It was wonderful. I was so pleased!

Finally a vet that knows what he’s doing.
I’ve had 2 experiences with Dr. Cho that have made me 100% sure none of my dogs ever have to see another vet again. First, was when my shih tzu had a hernia when she was a puppy. The first vet I took her to told me she was super weak and had a bad heart; there was no point of operating on her because she would live a very short life. Dr. Cho examined her and took out the hernia. She’s 6yrs old now and super healthy!
I also have a frenchie, and as some of you may know, frenchies are not the strongest breed. He’s always suffering from skin, ear, and eye infections. I’ve taken him to 2 other vets and realized that a lot of vets are crooks. they take advantage of the fact that you don’t know much about animal healthcare and make you take a bunch of unnecessary and expensive tests, just to tell you they can’t seem to find out what’s wrong with your dog. Dr. Cho was quick and precise & my dogs doing great now.
The clinic’s not that big, but i would definitely recommend Dr. Cho as your pets regular doctor.

I go here regularly for my dog to get groomed.
Calling beforehand always helps to alleviate any schedule conflicts because they seem to have irregular schedules (though the weekends are generally busier)
Grooming is great! Though the Korean lady might be a bit apprehensive to what you want, they do a really good job listening to what you want. The groomer always add a bow/​bandana to her once she’s done.
However, once they did forget to pluck her ears… As a maltipoo, her ears MUST be plucked or she is highly prone to ear infections. Sure enough, she got a bad ear infection and we had to get prescription antibiotics for her): They did offer to get it plucked for free the next time we stop by (even without a full groom)
Once, we had asked the vet (I believe Dr. Cho) to look over my pup and he said she was around 4 years old!!! She was actually less than a year old at the time. That’s when I knew I should just stick to grooming and not for any kind of veterinary procedure.
Grooming, good! Veterinary services, go at your own risk!
