Specialties
Vintage (mostly 1970’s and 80’s) moped (not scooter) parts. Parts for Puch, Peugeot, Motobecane, Batavus, Tomos, Garelli, Sparta, General, Sachs, Vespa, Colombia, Cimatti, Derbi, and 100 other names, all pedal start, 49cc, automatic transmission, 20 to 30mph mopeds (motorized bicycles).
35 years experience with over 5000 mopeds, 1000 motorcycles and 3000 bicycles serviced. But currently no service is offered, only parts. No new or used moped sales. No moped purchases. Since 2012, the focus now is on making lots of useful moped parts information available free on the website, and selling parts by email and phone. Walk-in parts sales are welcome.
History
Established in 2000.
Myron started the business selling bicycles in about 1975, before mopeds came out in 1977. From 1980 to 1988 Sam worked for owner Myron. Then Myron retired, and Sam was owner from 1988 to 2000. From 1998 – 2000 Shaun worked for owner Sam. Now Shaun is owner since 2000.
Meanwhile on the other side of Los Angeles, Shaun worked as moped mechanic and parts person for Royal Cyclery from 1977 to 1998. When Royal Cyclery closed, Shaun came to Myrons Mopeds.
