I have experience about making sushi and sashimi. I am sure that this place is very fair and nice quality of sushi. So highly recommend

My family and I love this place! Friendly, affordable and delicious! They have a fantastic menu and the specials make it so simple to order. The food comes out pretty fast, correct and served with a smile. Not fancy, just relaxed atmosphere that’s always appreciated.

First off this place is extremely affordable, they have killer lunch specials but their sushi rolls are also very reasonably priced. I can’t remember the name of the roll I had, something with tuna, spicy tuna, avocado, and shrimp tempura it was amazing and you can tell the fish is fresh! I also ordered two pieces of salmon sushi, also amazing. Paid $ 12 for all off it. Only regret was that I didn’t get more food. Can’t wait to come back and try more rolls! Give Roll and Grill and shot, you won’t be disappointed!

Really impressed. Great prices, good selection, good food. Place is small and very causal but a very good overall value. It is a bit of a diamond in the rough as it isn’t attractive from the outside but nice on the inside. Give it a try!

Pretty great sushi at a pretty great price. We always sit at the bar and talk to the person making the sushi. The hand rolls are classic and I highly recommend you trying it.

Love that they have specials that run all day. Just came to get my roll fix and got the Cali roll. A little stingy with the rice. Also they don’t add sesame seeds or cucumber. But besides that taste ok. I have also tried the chicken teriyaki which is pretty good. Rather come here than blame boiler that’s for sure!

I had the lunch special and was glad I didn’t order sushi when I looked over and saw the sushi chef using his phone where they prepare the sushi! Yuck! I snapped a pic to warn others– pretty sure that’s a health violation!

We now have become regulars at this place. They always bring us edamame on the house and know our orders by heart. It’s always fresh and the service is top notch. If you want a fancy sushi house this place isn’t for you but if you want good quality and service this place is fantastic. Love it, go once a week.

Thanks to the Unilocal reviews we gave this place a try. I was really impressed. I would never have tried this place due to its location but after dinner tonight I’m glad I did. I can’t wait to try something else on the menu next time.
This facility does not serve beer or wine. I could not finish my meal, I enjoyed the flavor of the salad and chicken.

This is my new fav teriyaki spot! I thought this place would be gross, because the location is less than desirable, but everything inside was great! It was clean, food was made to order (not precooked and sitting under heating lamps like Yoshinoya or Sansai) and the service was great. I am very impressed!

Inexpensive but the quality is one of the best I’ve had! Will probably become one of my top sushi spots here! And very quick and great service

We had dinner here yesterday and it was great. We sat at the bar! Food was great! Hubby loved the sashimi & sushi special and I loved the lobster bake! This place is a bit small so I wouldn’t recommend bringing a big party here. They had a couple four-​seater tables and 4 – 5 two seater tables, and also the bar that seats four people. Will definitely be coming back! Prices are great also!

Came here for a lunch takeout. Was beyond amazed that the food was so affordable ! For $ 7, their lunch special C had miso soup, salad, 4 pieces of CA roll, and a good heap of chicken teriyaki and rice. Normally you can expect to pay around $ 9 – 12 for the same! Their other menu items looked good and very well-​priced!
If you ever need an affordable meal, consider this!

Love this place! Came here a couple weekends ago and again last night. I think I’m hooked.
Sushi is very fresh and cut remarkably. No chewiness. I order the tuna and salmon sushi, which both are very flavorful. The baked salmon roll is delicious. My boyfriend gets the chicken and beef plate since he doesn’t like sushi, and he loves it. He’s very picky about the way meat is cooked and has had nothing but compliments on their food. You get a huge portion of both meats along with rice, veggies, and a salad (yummy dressing) for a great price.
Our sushi chef last night was very attentive, I was eating my fresh sushi within 5 minutes of sitting down. Awesome.
Everything is reasonably priced especially with the quality of food. I wish they offered beer, but nonetheless they have won my heart over from Orange Roll.
**I also really like that they have all of the fresh fish sitting out for you to see.

The all day lunch special was great! It defiantly hit the spot without breaking the bank. It’s nice that you don’t necessarily have to pay a tip here either, plus it’s way quicker than any sit down. I ordered the lunch special B, and was definitely satisfied. My only improvement suggestion would be the rice on the roll. The rice on my roll tasted either stale or undercooked– it had a bite to it.
If I’m in Fullerton and want simple sushi for a good price, I’ll be back.

Context: Came here around 2 pm looking for some quick fix sushi by myself on a Thursday
Environment: It’s more of a to-​go place, with a couple of chairs if you want to sit. It’s Korean owned I believe.
Service: Polite cashiers and friendly, prompt service
Food: Ordered a crunch roll and salmon sushi, and a miso soup. The crunch roll was alright, felt like the sushi would fall apart easily and there was too much imitation crab meat inside and couldn’t taste the shrimp. The salmon sushi was surprisingly pretty good! Not the best but it fulfilled my craving! The miso soup was on point with seaweed and onions.
Price: $ 9 for everything. They have some other pretty good deals though like lunch specials and catering deals that you can’t beat!
Overall: I would rather have gone to another sushi joint and ordered a better shrimp tempura roll and pay a couple dollars more.

I would totally come back here after a long day from class in Fullerton. I discovered this place through Unilocal & was craving sushi, so I headed over here. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they pretty much ran out of salmon and had enough to either make two sushi nigiris or part of a roll. I know it was close to closing time but I would have been more pleased if they didn’t run out of one of the most popular fish at the end of the night.
Besides, the quality was really good for the price. Especially for us broke college students, this is the way to go if you wanna be filled up & happy because you didn’t break the bank just to fulfill sushi cravings. The fish was pretty fresh, and the owner and the employees there are really nice. They even told me to take my time despite closing in 30 mins. Give it a shot!

I love places that have lunch specials, and this place goes above and beyond by having lunch specials all day (you would figure that they would just call it «special.»)
I am basing my review on my 2 separate stops here during lunch time. It’s a simple restaurant, spacious and clean and plenty of parking in front. The price here is pretty awesome, for $ 6.50 you can get the teriyaki combo and for $ 8.50, you can get a tempura roll, and half of a california and half of a spicy tuna roll.
Roll Combo– 4÷5− Let us start with the positive, the rolls here are awesome. It’s not mind blowing good but it hits the spot and it tastes just fine. Furthermore, the portion sizes will leave you stuffed.
Teriyaki Chicken– 1÷5− I usually don’t complain about teriyaki chicken but I will for this place. This is arguably some of the most bland and dry chicken I’ve ever had. It tastes like cardboard. They can’t even pay me to eat this garbage. I don’t understand how everyone else can rave about the teriyaki chicken when I can get the same flavor from eating the napkins. I had a few pieces and I just threw the rest away. Also, no brown rice is another minus against this place.
Overall, the service is friendly but slow. Usually, for lunch, it would take at least 10 to 15 minutes for my food to be done. Considering they only have 2 – 3 items on their lunch special, and everyone eats it, they should not be taking so long.
In the end, my advice is to get the roll combo and skip on the chicken combos. You definitely get your moneys worth of food; however, they can’t pay me to eat paper napkins.

Not another sushi joint! That was my first reaction. These sushi places are now ubiquitous in nearly every corner of Southern California.
But today being date night with my little one, he wanted to try it because another parent gave it a thumbs up. Well, I must admit it was pretty darn good. Much better than I had expected. Especially in a run-​down strip mall (former location of MexicaZn).
The salmon that draped over our Alaskan roll was generously cut — a nice thick layer. The CA roll was fresh and the rice was nice and soft. The mix tempura was good also but the shrimp was less generous. The teri chicken was moist (not over cooked) and the fluffy rice was cooked to perfection.
Overall, it was a great first impression and maybe our go to place for a quick bite rushing between boys’ activities.
