From our first meeting to the tasting to the wedding Summit was fantastic. Pam Aki worked with us the entire time and was friendly, knowledgeable, and always as close as a phone call. The final presentation was all we could hope for. The staff was excellent and made the event a success. We would recommend them highly.

We used Summit Catering for our wedding, and could not be happier with our experience or the food!
From the beginning, Veronica really worked with us to find the solution that worked best for us based on our food preferences and budget. She was always honest and upfront about pricing, and never tried to up-​sell us or move us beyond our budget. She even worked with us on china and glassware rentals, helping us find a great deal in the process while coordinating everything herself! Overall, the service we received from Veronica and her staff during the planning process and wedding was just outstanding.
Now onto the food… it was AMAZING! We were able to attend 2 tastings to sample the large variety of items they offer, and let me tell you… EVERYTHING was fantastic! I think the hardest decision of my life was narrowing down which food items we could actually have at the wedding! Kudos again to Veronica for being so patient with us, and also doing her best to help narrow down the food choices based on our preferences, guest needs, and budget. We were ultimately surprised at how much quality food we were able to squeeze into our limited budget!
If you need a caterer whether it’s for a wedding or any other event, you will not go wrong with Summit. We had literally dozens of guests tell us it was the best food they had EVER had at a wedding!

I gave my husband a «Thirsty Thirty» birthday party and Summit Event Catering did the catering for it. Pamela was so easy to work with and the staff she sent (Mike, Courtney, Jacqueline and Chief Osmin) was absolutely fabulous and the best. My husband and my guest loved them! For the first time I was able to enjoy a party without worrying about anything. They took care of EVERYTHING!
I want to have another party just so that I can hire Summit Event Catering again… oh and the food — OMG absolutely the best!

We just had our wedding at the Red Horse Barn in Huntington Beach catered by Summit Events Catering. Pam Aki and the staff there were first class and could not have been more helpful and accommodating. All of our guests have been raving how the food and appetizers at our wedding was the best they had ever had. Summit was even flexible in allowing us to get creative with our dinner and dessert options. The pricing was reasonable and the quality was excellent. I would recommend Summit Event Catering to everyone whether you are throwing a party or a wedding.

Worked with Pam from Summit for our wedding in September 2015 and they were truly amazing! Pam was so gracious and generous from the start and you can tell she really enjoys her job. From the beginning of the tasting, to the very end of cleaning up after our reception, Pam and her staff were absolutely wonderful and they went above and beyond to work with our budget and all the details of our wedding.
Not only was their service amazing, but their food was wonderful as well! Food rarely tastes as good as they do at the tasting, once they are mass-​produced for a 200+ people event, but all the appetizers, salad, and entrée were cooked perfectly and served warm even as the evening went on. We’ve had so many guests comment on how good the food was, and you don’t hear that often at a wedding, so that was a huge plus.
A minor downside was that there was a 2 or 3% (can’t remember) fee for any credit card transactions, regardless of the balance. So make sure you have a checkbook handy!
Would highly recommend Summit for any event, and I’d love to work with them again the future!

I had my wedding last weekend and had the pleasure of working with Pam during the entire process. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to work with. She is by far an amazing individual. The food was out of this world and people haven’t stopped talking about the Mac and cheese! I highly recommend Summit!

We were pleased with Summit Event Catering. From planning to execution, they did a wonderful job for our wedding of about 250 guests.
Planning: We first worked with Christine Kelsoe who invited us to attend a food tasting. This was the best food tasting experience we had during our wedding planning which is why we ultimately hired them. Christine was awesome and prompt with my countless emails. Just a few weeks before our wedding, there was a change of account manager. We were happy with the smooth transition. Pam gathered all the final details and ensured everything was in order for the day of our wedding.
Food: It was amazing and just as we expected — Delicious and presentation was nice. We ordered the Infused Halibut, Braised Beef, and Vegetarian Pasta. Also we had pizza and mini desserts for late night snacks. No complaints here.
Service: Setup was done as we requested. Champagne was chilled. We even had appetizers waiting at our head table for us. I would say the service was just average getting plates out to our guests. I’m happy the champagne was all poured before our toast, that everyone had fruits in their iced tea, and water was plentiful. I heard one of the servers from afar asking how do they know who gets fish or beef. As far as the tentative timeline of when food would be out… it was slower than anticipated. Maybe they should have thrown in a few more servers in our contract. We probably would have paid if we knew. I’m sure the entire staff was working their butts off and I really appreciate that.
One major gripe and the reason I knocked off another star was they BROKE MY CAKE TOPPER before the cake cutting even happened. I was super disappointed. We had a $ 100 cake topper that we were going to keep as a keepsake. People say I can just buy another one but that is SOOOO not the same. Reimbursed? No. Broken Mickey and Minnie heads? Yes.

We used Summit Catering for our company picnic today, it was the second time we used them and once again they exceeded our expectations! Tyler was great to plan everything with and his Team went out of there way to help us! David and the team arrived early our food was delicious loved… the Mac and Cheese! We used them for our picnic games too, great dizzy relay, Hulu hoop contest… we had so much fun. You can tell that Tyler and his staff love what they are doing it shows in the smiles on their faces and you can taste the love in the food! Thank you for great service!

Pam is the absolute greatest! My best friend used this company and everyone raved about the food. The coconut beer battered shrimp with tangerine glaze sauce, carving beef station, BLONDE LASAGNA… You can’t go wrong. The waiters are extremely professional and kind. The service was set up beautifully.

We had Summit Event Catering for our backyard wedding on May 16, 2015 and everything was amazing!!! We got so many compliments about the food. Christine was our contact and she helped us design our menu and added on all the requested items that we wanted. The setup was beautiful and the serving staff was so professional and nice. We had so many guests ask us who catered the food because for a buffet, everyone raved about how amazing it was! We had Summit cater both the cocktail hour and reception food. Summit events did an outstanding job on a celebration of life reception for our dad. Pam was wonderful to work with. She and her staff went above and beyond our expectations on such short notice and with how many guests we were host to (400+). The food was very good and the staff was great. We will most definitely be calling back for future events. Thank you!

I am SO happy my husband and I found Summit Events to cater our wedding. We worked directly with Veronica she was extremely responsive, made sure we were taken care of, worked with our budget to give us our dream menu, she even helped us find our actual reception venue! We had the perfect wedding for us and it wouldn’t have happened without Veronica!
Service: First of all, they are pros — extremely professional and punctual. We were already sold at the tasting (which is amazing, make sure you go with an empty stomach because they FEED you) but on the day of it was even more magical. The servers catered to our every need. We had a little over 200 guests, plated service. Summit provided just the right level of attentiveness: not overbearing/​breathing down your necks like some servers can tend to be, and not too silent in the background where you’d notice their absence, it was simply perfect. The service was seamless!
Pricing: Like all couples, my husband and I were on a budget. We explained to Veronica what our perfect wedding menu would be if we had all the money in the world and she helped us come up with a menu that not only fit our vision but didn’t break the bank! She was patient, respectful, and just a great friend to us throughout the entire process
Now the most important part. the food: ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN DELICIOUS. Everything that we had at the tasting was so good, it was partly the reason why we took so long finalizing our menu! Portion size is huge and they make sure your guests do not leave hungry.
Here are some of the main components of our wedding menu:
Tray passed hor d’oeuvres: Coconut Beer Battered Shrimp with a tangerine mustard sauce, Marinated Steak Skewers with a black peppercorn sauce, and Tomato Soup Shooters with a mini grilled cheese topper.
Main Course: Chicken Madeira w/​potatoes au gratin and green beans sauteed in brown butter and topped with almonds.
Dessert: their famous bread pudding
Drunchies: French Fry Station w/​assorted dipping sauces
I was salivating just typing that out. I wont go in to detail about each dish, because it was all so amazing! You honestly cannot go wrong with Summit. We STILL get compliments about the food that we served. Luckily a lot of our friends are getting married soon and of course we’re referring Summit to them just so we can enjoy their food once again! Amazing!

I can’t say enough about Summit Event Catering. They are the best catering service around. They continue to provide the most delicious food from hors d’oeuvres to entrees to dessert, as well as impeccable service to our 250 – 300 guests year after year for our event. Of course this is no surprise to many of the attendees who attend our annual event because of Summit’s delectable and scrumptious cuisine.
For the past 10 years, Greg and his staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make our event a memorable one. We recommend using Summit Event Catering for all your catering needs.

We found Summit on Wedding Wire and were blown away by the service. Christine was our main point of contact and the on-​site overseer of our event. She was amazing. After our first phone call, I called my wife and told her I’d found the one.
Christine and her team did an amazing job, and they were ridiculously helpful before, during and after.
The food… are you kidding me? We had the best catered food I’ve ever had and I’m a cheapskate. We went with a buffet that got everyone (95 guests) served in about 15 – 20 minutes (I think, the night really flew by). Do yourself a favor and ask Summit for a look at our menu. Really affordable and crazy good.
When our cake (ordered from another company) looked like it wasn’t going to arrive, Christine asked us what we wanted, because they were going to run out and get it for us! Luckily it was just late, but we were really impressed they would do that for us.

the Indian food was the worst ive ever had in my life but the spare rips and chicken with the potatos were amazing. The food didn’t get out on time so we had to wait an extra 20 mins for dinner all in all good solid company just stay away from Indian food

Greg & Linda have served our Christmas dinner for over 200 ladies for the past few years. This is an excellent catering company with creative suggestions, delicious food, and excellent service. The hot food is hot, the cold food is cold. The ladies at our event are always in awe of what a magnificent full dinner we serve them each year. You will not be disappointed if you chose them to do your catering for ANY occasion, large or small.

I can’t recommend Summit Event Catering enough for a wedding. I feel like they’re one of those vendors who seriously make your wedding happen. I got to work directly with Pam and I felt like she was kind of my wedding fairy godmother.
ON SITE CATERING
I searched high and low for an all inclusive on site caterer who would be able to bring the food, cook the food, provide service, and do all the cleanout. Summit Event did that and more — they also helped coordinate rentals, and Pam came the day of as well to meet me and help with setup. They also checked on the kitchen and came with their fully equipped catering truck!
FLEXIBILITY
I cannot stress how flexible it is to work with Summit Event. I was planning long distance from SF and NYC and they worked with me and my husband’s crazy travel schedules for the tasting. and then my husband and I decided to change up the entire menu! Summit Event did not miss a beat and kept us on budget.
THE FOOD!!! Soooo GOOD
We first had a pretty traditional menu… then we decided to mix it up and have more diverse dishes. Pam patiently worked with our religious restrictions (no pork and shellfish). We got to serve lamb, butternut squash ravioli (totally gone by end of the night!), roasted vegetables… and we got to take home some of the leftovers =)
COORDINATING RENTALS
Summit Event was awesome and recommended OC Events as a rental company with whom they’d coordinate linen (I had white tablecloths with eggplant colored table runners and napkins) and cocktail table rentals. Summit Event handled everything including the contract, payment, pickup, and drop off of rentals
Summit Event was basically everything I could ever want in a caterer. Professional, responsive, fairly priced, and a high quality product. LOVE THEM.

The Perfect Caterer for my Wedding.
We could not have picked a better caterer. The food was exquisite, and the service was exceptional. I usually do not take the time to reviews, but in this case I want everyone to know how wonderful Summit Catering and their staff is. Veronica was our event manager, and she was so helpful. She understood my budget and really helped guide me through the process. Every question, food related or not, she gave me very helpful information. I used a majority of her suggestions on where to find other services, what to do in hairy situations, and general advice/​recommendations on dealing with vendors. I did not even have to hire a wedding planner because she was so helpful. And did I mention the food was awesome. I have never been so impressed by a company’s commitment to excellence and superb staff.

This review is a little late but I figured better late then never. Pam is just hands down the most amazing woman ever. I was reaching out to several companies for quotes and looking at package pricing thinking I might get a better deal because I was a bride with a budget to stick to. After talking with one company, that I will not name, told me I wouldn’t be able to afford any of their services with my budget they referred me to Pam because she worked with brides who were concerned about cost. So I reluctantly sent her and email and she got back to me right away with everything I ever needed.
Summit is technically a catering service but Pam sent me budget friendly venues, vendors, helped me come up with a time line, walked the venue with me! I mean everything I needed or when I was a little stuck I would just email Pam and she would get back to me with not just a solution but gave me options. Whenever I wanted to go over budget on things she would remind me where I was in cost, contacted all my vendors and made reservations for me, all I had to do was sign a check.
All of this was just included in me using summit as my catering company. So let’s talk food… It was amazing! I had a salad, pasta, beef brisket, rice, veggies and rolls all for a super affordable price. They brought linens for the buffet table that matched my wedding colors and the staff that worked the actual wedding was great. They even passed champagne and cupcakes free of charge.
I can’t thank Pam enough for everything she did for me and my husband. I will definitely be using summit again when I need a party catered!
