Sabor Catering and Events

These guys catered my cousins baby shower and the food was amazing! Bryan and Michael were very friendly and always had food ready to go! I would definitely use this company for my parties and I will refer them to all of my friends!

You know the food was great when you guests are sneaking into your kitchen to eat the leftovers at the end of the party. I had the pleasure of having Sabor Catering serve tacos and much more at my baby shower. And I am glad I went with this company. It was easy to coordinate with Bobby for the event. He called me the day before the event to confirm times. They showed up on time, were very friendly and accommodating. The food was a big hit! The presentation was very nice and perfect for my baby shower fiesta. They packaged up all the leftovers but sadly all my guests ate most of the food that evening that’s how delicious it was. It made my day that much easier to not have to stress about food and making sure my guests left full. And it was very thoughtful of Bobby to call me after the event to confirm everything went as to plan and that we were satisfied. You know a company is concerned with customer service when they go the extra mile to confirm your satisfaction. Will definitely be calling Bobby again for my next big event! And don’t forget to have containers for after the event to package up leftovers even if they will be eaten before the night is over. Thank you Bobby and your crew! You made my day!

Great food, service, and very professional people. Even though we had a small birthday party and we called them with not much time in advance, they made accommodations for us. After they left, it looked like they never came, because the area where they were cooking was as clean as before they came.

The caterers for our event were the best! Even in very inclement weather, the made our function very enjoyable and the food was amazing!!! They go out of their way to make you happy!!!
We had tacos of chicken, asada, and al pastor! Three salsa: avocado, green and red, rice and beans, along with quesadillas!
I would recommend them very highly!

Wow! Some of the best tacos I’ve had in a while!!! The set-​up is delicious and clean… attention to detail is very obvious. Sabor has a wide array of options for salsas/​chiles/​tacos/​mulitas. Bryan was an awesome taqueria too! Thumbs up!

Sabor Catering was contracted to provide lunch to over 175 staff and coaches at the LA84 Coaches Clinic hosted at Paramount High School. The feedback on the food from our coaches and staff was very positive. Robert and his wife Sandy strive to provide a quality service and product to their customers. Communication is key and Robert works in collaboration with the event to ensure all the needs are met. As a newer company they are growing and learning about the different event venue needs, We will be having Sabor Catering at our track event on January 30, 2015, where we hope to have over 1,000 participants walk through our gate. Sabor Catering is generous supporter of their community and I look forward to building a successful vendor relationship with them this year.

Owner was nice enough to provide me a sample of the menu items even though I was only looking to book for a party of 60. I loved the food so I booked Sabor for a baby shower I was hosting. The day before the event the mother to be was forced to have an emergency c-​section. I was worried sick about her condition. I contacted Sabor and let them know the event was going to be rescheduled. I understand business is business and I would be forced to forfeit my deposit, completely understandable. To my surprise they were beyond understanding and said «Things happen.» I was able to keep my deposit. Best customer service ever! I will definitely be using Sabor for the baby shower turned welcome baby party or any other event.

Laborers’ Local Union 1309 hired Sabor Catering and Events for our last union meeting of the year and it was a successful event. The food was prepared on time and is was delicious, our membership was happy and asked to have them next year. I personally loved the tacos the flavor is just right. I would strongly recommend them for any even.

I tried to hire them, called them spoke to someone who answered cell phone said he would call me back about catering my event this Friday 12÷18÷15.
He Never called backed, I guess they didn’t want my business?

Great looking set up, but what’s even better is the food! Everyone at our holiday party was raving over the tacos and sides. The guys were so nice too! We will definitely be using Sabor in the future!

I had these guys over to the house on Saturday for a backyard birthday party. Everybody loved the food and after two hours we were still eating so I asked if they could stay an extra hour and they did. The spread was amazing, and the servers were complete gentlemen. They will definitely have my business, as well as some of my guests again.

We had Sabor catering for my daughters 1^st birthday party. We had shopped around for many others and finally had Sabor catering recommended to us and from the first conversation, Robert was extremely professional and detailed regarding their different offerings.
The day of the event they were punctual, extremely professional, and their setup was great! They provided great quality food and great service! Our guests had nothing but compliments for them and they commented on how fast the food was served.
We have used taqueros in the past but Sabor has by far surpassed our previous experiences. We will definitely be using them in the future and would recommend them to others.

Sabor catered for a holiday event for 120+ people. I could not have asked for more! Sabor catering was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Easy to work with, great communication, delivered exactly what was promised and it wall all delicious! We ordered the El Rey Package which included:
Tacos, Quesadillas and Mulitas.
3 choices of meats: Beef, Marinated Pork (pastor) and Chicken
Rice & Beans
Condiments: onions, cilantro, limes, radishes
3 salsas: Avocado (mild), Green Tomatillo (medium), Red 5 chile salsa (hot)
Chiles toriados (seared yellow chiles with garlic infused olive oil)
Chips
Plus napkins, forks and plates
I would definately recommend Sabor catering for any event!

Sadly I would not refer Sabor. The owner was very nice and the tacos were good (since that’s all I got to try) but I’d be afraid you may run out of food, but maybe you won’t, maybe it was just my event that they ran out.
I was told that for 100 people it would be $ 650 and they provided chips, salsa. mulitios, quesadillas, tacos, all the condiments including plates and napkins. I had called Robert a couple days before our event to make sure I didn’t need to bring anything and he assured me that everything was provided. I told him we may have 105 people and he said that wasn’t a problem. The day came and they were on time. We didn’t have quite
100 people after all, when the line was ½ of the way done I ran out to get food and they were out of chips and rice. I never saw mulitios or quesadillas, they were also out of napkins. I asked if there was more and they said no, they had plenty of taco meat so I had a couple of tacos. Luckily the church had more napkins. Luckily there was taco meat still since there had to be at least 30 people still waiting to eat. There were a lot of comments from guests in line saying
«Is this it», but there was nothing I could do. They will serve for 2 hrs or until the meat is all gone but we were done after an hour. I went and told them they could go and paid them and also tipped them even though they did not have enough food and they said they would when u booked them. The girl serving was very sweet and after I paid she even came back in to ask if the amount was accurate and I told them yes I always tip, I guess I should of not tipped? But anyway, I texted Robert that night and right away Monday morning he called me to apologize and say they will learn from this and basically said that the people who came to serve the food didn’t take enough food but they will going forward, but how does that fix my event ?? The young girl who served the food also said she wasn’t given enough food and that they were in a hurry, but according to Robert they weren’t in a hurry and it was their responsibility to make sure they had enough food and condiments. Robert also said that our party wasn’t that far from him and he could of ran over with more napkins but didn’t say he could of brought more rice or chips. I myself could of ran to Albertsons and got more chips and rice but didn’t feel I should since I had paid for
100 people. Robert offered to do better next time but I don’t have parties usually, there were 2 people at my work who live in Whittier and wanted to hear how it went but after hearing what happened they said they would look elsewhere. In the end I asked Robert if he would refund my $ 100
Deposit which was also what I gave as a tip, so they would get paid the $ 650 and Robert said no he couldn’t do that but that he could give me $ 50 back. Robert is a very nice guy and a great talker and willing to learn and do better next time but
That won’t fix what happened. Also if there is leftovers, you can take them all home but you have to provide the containers. Since our event was at a church I didn’t have containers but found some Bowls and took the rest of the taco meat. So bring containers if you decide to use Sabor.

After careful review of many many taco guys I came across this catering co. After reading the great reviews and seeing their presentation in photos I decided to book them. The day of the event was crazy I didn’t get pictures or got to eat much. I stole a few tacos from my boyfriend plate and all I have to say is dammmmmyummmm! Lol they were full of flavor and so tasty.
I will definitely be hiring them again for any event I host I also truly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a better grade taco guy. The only thing I do recommend is that if you know your family eats more than the usual like mine, lol order for more guest. I was left with a few guest not being able to eat. Since tacos, quesadillas, and mulitas were so delicious my guest ordered too many.

Robert and his crew were perfect for my sister’s wedding. He was easy to stay in contact with & his food was amazing. We had great sautéed garlic shrimp with a raspberry sauce, chorizo tostaditas, fruit skewers with a Mexican candied spice, and a smoked salmon baguette for appetizers & pollo, carne, chicken, veggie tacos with rice & beans, chiles & homemade chips with salsas. Everyone was satisfied which I’m very pleased with. They had two lines going for 160 people which moved real fast. I definitely recommend them to cater any big events. Thanks again you guys!

I can’t say enough about Bobby and his crew. His staff is super friendly, the buffet station and grill are extremely clean and organized, he’s on time and let’s not forget the most important part — his food is phenomenal! We can’t wait to have another event to hire Sabor!
Our event was July 11^th and we’re still getting compliments how amazing the flavor was in everything Sabor served. Way to go Bobby!
