What really sold me on Andrewtech was the fact that they let me use my own parts that I purchased online. I simply dropped off my ’03 Subaru Outback after closing hours and left the parts on the front seat. Less than 36 hours hours later they’d completed my (major) repair and I was back on the road again.
I will most definitely use Andrewtech for all of my future repairs.

If you own a Subaru go to this shop. The quality of work is amazing. Their pricing is also lower than most shops in the DMV area.

Other than knowledge and great service, Andrewtech has the most important quality of them all; they have a lot of integrity. They answered all my questions, and determined what I needed at the moment. The price was great. This is my shop to go from now on.

These boys are on point! They pay great attention to detail, incredibly knowledgable and loyal to their customers as their customers are loyal to them. I went in for a regular oil change and they went above and beyond and found issues with my power steering belt and repaired it on the spot without me suggesting or asking for a thorough check. I would recommend andrewtech to all subi lovers, I got multiple things done here and I got nothing but the best to say about this shop. Sam is great and he is always upfront about everything. I would not trust anybody else with my car but andrewtech!

Don’t waste your time going anywhere else. Sure, it’s a bit out of the way, but you won’t want to go anywhere else. Beats the price of any dealership.

I have been to AndrewTech several times when a WRX friend said I was spending way too much money at a shop in Westminster, MD. I am sure that they are great in some things a AndrewTech is good at others.
I have had oil changes, brakes, horns, and other things installed here. Took the car and raced against Porsche of America and did very well.
I am going back to summit for three days of racing next month a Sam will ensure that all is well. :)

I was referred to this shop from numerous people, and drove 1.5hours from VA to visit AndrewTech. I brought over a 2008 Legacy GT for a pre-​purchase inspection in February. Sam fitted me into his schedule early in the morning and Andrew & his team began their in depth analysis on the vehicle.
They pointed out several big concerns on the car, as well as potential history of the car with the looks of the vehicle. Andrew then took it for a long test drive to see how the gears & engine felt.
After the inspection, they worked up a cost and explained everything in detail. I ended up getting the car, and getting all issues fixed at AndrewTech.
One of the big services for the Legacy is the timing belt & water-​pump. Since I was not sure if this service was done, I asked them to just go ahead and replace all. As they worked through the belts & pump, Sam noticed the pump was new, called me and subtracted it from the services. This is honesty at its best.
Throughout the entire process, Sam & Andrew did not attempt to upsell me on random services. In fact, I learned much more about my vehicle with every visit. Prices are more than reasonable, and cheaper than some of the other shops out there.
This team is truly passionate about what they do, and it shows through the way they speak, work and their interactions. I will have recommended everyone to head this way for all their needs. It’s truly difficult to find a trust-​worthy shop/​mechanic that will not attempt to sell you everything under the roof.
You can definitely trust Andrew, Sam & team to take care of all your car needs in a fair & expert manner.

Sam, Andrew and gang are good guys. I’ve been able to get good advice and good service from them. They have also stood by their work when needed. If you’ve got a Subaru, they’ve got you covered.

I had my fair share of nightmares with another shop who has terrible customer service, so I decided to give Andrewtech a shot and all I can say is that they are awesome and care about their customers.
My car was leaking oil and needed the valve cover replaced, Andrew had the area cleaned and took it for a test drive to make sure the leak was truly coming from the valve cover before replacing anything. I was happy that he wanted to make sure it wasn’t something else and didn’t replace anything unnecessary. The work was done quick but thoroughly and I couldn’t be happier.
More recently, I was told from the other shop that my head gasket had some seepage after they had apparently fixed an issue that they made before (only went back to the other shop since they were covering the labor, etc)…didn’t sound right to me so I had Andrewtech look at the car and the head gasket is fine, but the manifold had to be taken off to pin point where the seepage was coming from. At this point I decided to make an appointment to have them take the manifold off, replace whatever had the seepage, and do my 90K service, timing belt, etc.
Everything was done in a timely manner and Sam was keeping me posted on what needed to be replaced and quickly responded to any questions I had.
Turned out that the turbo inlet was no good and the throttle body o-​ring was bad.
They replaced everything and my car seems and feels great.
This shop is awesome and I honestly won’t be going anywhere else. The staff is great and knowledgable, they go above and beyond to assist their customers. I highly recommend them! BIG thank you to Sam for taking care of my car.

Been driving to BelAir to service our 2011 Outback so I tried Andrewtech for a local oil change and coolant flush. The service was performed and it was Andrew’s recommendation that we change the coolant down the road. He identified the next items needing attention. The price for the oil change and quoted future service was extremely fair.
The whole staff was courteous and professional. I look forward to servicing the Outback at Andrewtech.

Someone recommended these guys to me, and i am so glad they did! I called up Andrewtech and spoke with Sam, he was efficient and friendly. He quoted me on a great price installing some aftermarket parts. I dropped off my car in the morning and by 1PM the car was finished! The reviews here speak for themselves there’s a reason why Andrewtech has five stars! Thanks Andrewtech for everything you guys do.

I first visited a few months ago when a buddy of mine was buying fluids for his 05 STI. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I recently purchased a CBE for my STI and called multiple shops to have it installed. Sam scheduled me an appointment (on a Saturday! Most shops are closed) and they got it done in less than 30 minutes. Many of my friends have gotten work done on their Subarus here and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely will come back!

I recently did an STi turbo swap with supporting mods (ID 1000cc injectors, STi hood scoop & shroud, STi intercooler, plugs, and upgraded fuel pump) and had Andrewtech perform the installation.
For my appointment, I also asked them to make arrangements for a tune with Jermaine Riddick of TurboXS after my swap was complete. Sam was more than willing to accommodate and spoke with TurboXS for a tune session and reserved a rental car at my request. Sam quoted me for two days of work to make sure they had enough time to install the parts without rushing it and allow enough time for TurboXS to perform a dyno AND road tune. Great service and prompt turnaround, everything was completed as planned. Not only that, Andrewtech gave me a great price for their work!
Thanks to Andrew, Jacob, Sam, and Sang for their hard work. They keep my Forester running! And the combination of Andrewtech for installs & maintenance and TurboXS for parts & tuning is unbeatable!

Andrewtech is my go to shop for my 2005 Subaru legacy gt. They fixed my broken window, all the concerns i had for the car and gave me recommendations for some stuff i was clueless about. This is my go to shop for my Subaru till my motor and tranny dies then they will be doing the motor/​tranny swap! 5* all day long!

Just took my 350Z there today to swap out clutch/​flywheel and I couldn’t be happier! In addition to the swap I also got my tires balanced all in the same day. Sam was extremely helpful and was nice enough to even expedite my appointment a week earlier. This was my first service performed here and I am very impressed. Planning to purchase some new rotors and pads in which Sam even offered to beat other competitors as far as rates… Andrewtech will be my first pick from now on for any service on my car.

Great shop for pretty much anything automotive. This is one of the few places in the area whose recommendations I really trust without going for a second opinion, which is one of the highest praises I can give.
They’ve done a great job with maintenance work on my daily driver, fixing issues bungled by other shops on my track car, installing safety gear, and everything in between. Subarus are their specialty (which is pretty obvious as soon as you see the parking lot in the front) but they’ve always done great work on my Miata. If they don’t know how to do something off the top of their head they’re honest about it but will research it until they’re confident they’ll do it right.
Labor rates are reasonable, and I’ve never walked away feeling I was overcharged. Considering the care they’ve put into every job they’ve done for me I usually feel like I’m getting off cheap. Everybody there is a stand-​up, competent guy. You really can’t ask for more.

Awesome shop. Very highly regarded in the Subie community, which says a lot. The clutch on my WRX recently bit it thanks to 6.5 years of daily stop n’ go torture on the roads of Northern Virginia, multiple trips up into the Rockies and two cross-​country caravans to Colorado. She held out as long as she could bless her heart, but it just wasn’t meant to be any longer. So I begrudgingly began making calls to some respected shops in the area to figure what the damage would be. I actually called Mach V in Sterling first, but their estimate came in at around $ 450 higher than Andrewtech as they insisted a new flywheel would be needed. I trust Mach V as well, since I had a great experience with them a few years back when they did springs and some other work on my car. They also needed the entire cost of the clutch up front, before the work was done.
When I called Andrewtech, they were open and honest and assured me that 9 out of 10 times the flywheel could be ‘resurfaced’ instead of being outright replaced when doing a clutch install. This little tidbit ended up saving me hundreds of dollars and I got out the door with a new clutch and custom all wheel drive alignment for still over than $ 300 less than it would’ve cost for the clutch alone at another shop.
Additionally– their customer service went above and beyond. They were able to talk me off a ledge a few times about my driving habits (since you begin to ask the «was it the way I drive?» question when something like a clutch goes), and when I told them I would be getting a rental car they offered to work after hours to get the car done sooner. Seriously! That kind of service just does NOT exist in this area. They ended up getting me in the DAY after I called and had the car done the day after that. Unbelievable. I cannot recommend them highly enough– and as an added bonus, we got to take White’s Ferry on our way there and back, which was whimsical and awesome. Oh and at night it totally added to the creepy ambiance that is riding on a boat in the dark in late October. I will absolutely be a repeat customer should any other «big ticket» items on my WRX arise (God I hope not).
