I had to get a tow today and an angel named Claude showed up and went the extra mile to make sure I got my car to where it needed to be safely and sound. If ever I need a tow again Custom Towing and Claude are the first place I’m calling

Trouble service worst experience ever they left my car in the snow unlock and never came back and never inform me of this.

If you want to wait for hours after the initial call they make to tell you they will be there at a certain time, this is the place for you. Everytime I called they said the driver will be there in a half hour. I called every half hour for five hours and heard the same thing. I expected better communication and more accuracy on a time schedule and they can give neither. So in short this tow truck company is straight garbage.

This company is inconsiderate and unprofessional. My husband arrange a tow at 5 pm through our insurance. Didn’t call to let us know they were going to be late. We called at 630 to check the status, they said they’d be here in 20 minutes. called back at 710 since they hadn’t gotten here, they said they’d be here in 20 minutes. Called again at 745, said they’d be here in 10 minutes. Didn’t end up getting here till after 830. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Supposed to have 2 gallon of gas
That’s a joke
Plus his gas container didn’t work

Unless you have nothing else to do
They are terrible

This place sucks! You could not even pay me to use them even if someone was giving them away and $ 1m dollars. This place does not deserve to be in business or even get one star. It’s great there hold message is one call and you get prompt service so three calls in 4 hours should be here super quick. Wrong! Do not use, call uhaul or just tow it yourself with anyone but them.

They don’t deserve one star. Dispatch ETA was 7:30pm, called them at 9:30pm and they said the car was picked up and in transit. We then got a call at 8:30am the next morning asking where the car was located. It took them over 12 hours to pick up our car. If we had parked in in a reserved spot in our condo’s lot we’d have been towed in minutes. We were lied to and ignored.
It doesn’t get much worse than Custom Towing.

I would not recommend this company at all. Had an issue with my van and was informed that dispatch will send someone out within an hour. 2 hours later, nothing, called to inquire and was told that the person was still working on a previous call. Didn’t even call to let me know. I reschedule for the next day and again, no show.
Stay as far away from this company as possible!

Black Tow truck with company logo last seen southbound on 29 around 1:30. Unsafe driver was at least 15 mph over the speed limit, tailgating and pushing others around.

After our van died for the fourth time in a month and the battery wouldn’t jump off anyone, we were recommended to call Custom Towing to tow us to our mechanic. The driver arrived timely, offered to jump me with his super-​duper jumper cables (my name, not his and yes, they worked!) and followed me to the mechanic to make sure the van didn’t die on the mile drive. The driver was incredibly polite to a frazzled mom of 2 on a busy Saturday afternoon. Highly recommended!

Needed a tow today for my Jeep — again!
It does has 185k on it, but it seems to die once a year.
Friday was the day — USAA dispatched a Auto Service company — no luck.
Today, USAA dispatched a tow truck from Custom Towing.
He was only a few minutes late, but expected in DC ‘rush hour’ traffic.
Ike was professional and friendly, and was efficient in getting my Jeep to the shop for a new starter.

They have very nice drivers and quality service but I can’t give them a good review be cause they are ALWAYS late. Their estimated time is usually off by nearly half an hour to forty five minuets. That is highly unsatisfactory,

Zero stars, if I could.
1 hour late (said they’d be on site at 11:45, showed up at 12:45). Took five phone calls to office and two to driver to finally get someone on site. Was told with each phone call that the driver was «just a couple minutes away».
Had told them initially that it was in a garage; they sent a truck that was too tall and couldn’t fit. Remember, this is after waiting in the cold for an hour. Called back and office said new driver was on his way and would be there any minute. 25 minutes later, I called office back and a new woman answered. Said she had no record of my car and that no one was on their way. I asked if that meant the woman before her had lied; she said «I guess so.»
I use USAA insurance, so they sent a new company (AM/​PM Towing), who was onsite in ten minutes. Got the job done when this incompetent company couldn’t.
I had such a difficult time; both the office (Hillary and Lisa) and truck driver were clueless and caused a two hour headache that could have been finished in ten minutes. Don’t use them!

I’ve had my car towed twice by Custom Towing. Coming from Gaithersburg all the way to Hyattsville is a stretch (damn Geico not employing a local tow), but in any case, they came within 45 minutes both times, the 2^nd tow’s driver called ahead of time to let me know he was nearby, and it was speedy and good to go. The ride over with fine, both drivers were friendly, and I’d recommend them. It was clockwork.

Thier tow truck not only cut us off on the beltway, only avoiding clipping our bumper due to our evasive driving, but then ran a solid red light, not yellow, barely even slowing down, onto Georgia ave. It wasn’t towing anything. But If I can’t trust them on the road, how can I trust them with my car.

I will preface this by saying I have not been towed by this company.
However, on a rainy evening, I watched as a minivan-​ish thing with their decals drove with BRIGHT yellow flashers on for about two miles that unfortunately coincided with my own drive home.
The car was not towing ANYTHING and was not even capable of towing anything. It pulled into an apartment complex so it wasn’t like it was even trying to get to a motorist in a dangerous situation.
This was blatant disregard for public safety to be causing a distraction like that for no reason. I wouldn’t want them towing my car.

Fast service. Truck driver opened door in less than 2 min. I did not wait to much time for help.

Say you are driving along the Beltway minding your own business then suddenly you loose power… your car is slowing down… speeding traffic all around… you stay calm you know what you must do… signal and quickly make you way to the shoulder of the road. LOOK OUT!!! Some speeding idiot driving a Mercedes almost hit you man didn’t she see my signal and my slowing down??? Pay attention get off the damn cell phone straighten up drive right.
For those of you who don’t know the US Capitol Beltway is NO place to have a break down. You need an EVAC and you will need it FAST!!! People on here get killed all the time with disabled vehicles (flat tires engine trouble etc) I elected to stay in the vehicle with seat belt on. Traffic on both sides of me since my car came to a stop right at the Route 1 over past where the on ramp from College Park merges into the Beltway pretty scary right??? You bet your asphalt street it is so anyway I called my insurance company and they called these guys she told me that they are the fastest and I took her word for it. «They’ll be there within the hour» the voice said and sure enough I received a call from the tow guy before the hour was up to confirm my exact location and two minutes later BAM there he was. WHEWWWWW saved my skin now I know what it feels like in those war films when you see the helicopters arrive and get the shot up fallen soldiers out of the «Hot Zone».
So speedy and so quick the tow guy hooked up the car within a minute maybe two he had my old clunker up on the flatbed secured and away we were off to the safety of speed on the Beltway. When you are in broke-​down palace on that bit of highway just five minutes can seem like an eternity. But these guys are quick they try to get all pickups under and hour unlike many tow companies that I have used in the past where 2 or even 4 hours is the norm.
Good conversationalist was the driver telling stories of adventures on the hi-​road of mechanical failures. We quickly got to the service station where I get my old heep of car worked on and the tow guy first talked to the shop guys and got my old piece of car on the ground and in the shop with great speed and professionalism. Insurance took care of the bill but they failed to calculate it right that’s okay tow guy wrote it up so that it came within the mileage limits so I won’t have to pay more out of pocket… Bravo! So even though I’m ticked off with my hunk of junk for breaking down on me when I’m not ready for the expense of repairing an old car that I plan on replacing soon, I’m very happy with the fast and professional towing service I received from the tow guy. Good job!
