Raley’s

Nice raleys in the Twin Cities shopping center. I came here because I was starving after working a golf tournament and the staff was friendly and even offered some good meals to take home from the hot food section but I instead just got a deli sandwich and then went on home. I’ll be back if I’m ever down here in the area again

We used to frequent this Raley’s back in the day as we knew someone who used to work here. No longer does this person work here. We rarely come here unless we need to stop here for a potty break. We needed to utilize the Wells Fargo ATM like we did prior to shopping at the Galt Flea market as you need cash to make your purchases! No such thing as using credit cards or checks there!
This Raley’s does have a gas station and we have used that on occasion. Right now this business has got to be hurting with Wal-​Mart just next door! What’s up with that competitor? That’s got to be rough. I feel for the employees at Raley’s.
Come here if needed but who knows how long it will stay as Raley’s…

Nice store: well kept and clean. Cashiers and deli staff are always pleasant. Today I’m there standing in the bulk food area for a good 20 minutes looking for Chia seeds. I noticed a staff member stocking shelves in the same aisle. I asked if they had Chia seeds. Nice guy but was quick to say he didn’t even know what they were nor what they were used for.
In plain terms he appeared to not want to be bothered. Yes they do stock them in a bag in the same row due to my desire to keep looking on my own.

My buddy and I were on this way up to Sacramento to visit a skate park, and this Raley’s seemed a safe choice on the way. Out of all grocery stores in Northern California, Raley’s is my favorite.
This one had a different layout that any other I’ve tried. We ended up finding the water aisle to get water, and got Mountain Dew Kickstarts (as cheap as Walmart!) up front near the registers.
The cashier was very pleasant and despite so many customers, everything was moving quickly.
Raley’s is always a bit pricey but the rewards program seems helpful when you have their filling station nearby – which it was.

I like Raley’s over Walmart friendlier people customer better service. Today I had my first bad experience at Raleys. AT the checkout line bagging groceries box boyz picking his nose 4 buried treasure. Luckily by the time I got up and my groceries came through he had moved to another checkout stand.

Everything about a grocery store you would want!!! It’s peaceful, nice people, clean!

Great employees they always remember who I am. fantastic deli, meat and bakery departments.

I used to shop at this Raley’s when I lived in Galt because it was closer to me than Save Mart. It was decent and it was great whenever I wanted to use the wifi. You can stay for hours and no one would bother you.
What I can say however is that you MUST be careful of the expiration dates when it comes to cheese. There were a few times I would go to the store for a specific cheese and find it tasted funny. When I looked at some of the packages, I would see that it was expired by months past. When I tried to return it, the manager took it back but suggested that I look at the date before I open the package. Which, I agree with BUT it is also up to them to sell produce to clients that are not rotten. I’m not too fond of Roquefort…

This is the high end quality clean store that you have been searching for if you are new to Galt! The service is terrific and they have a coffee bar that serves multiple milk options that I just found out about today, that’s why I am happy to share this with others! They just started serving almond milk I was told a few weeks ago and found out by surprise today! I highly recommend this store. They even have a natural foods/​organic section which is where we mosey over to. On Thursday evenings they have a cute little wine tasting event that I have yet to try, but want to very soon.

I was curious to see if people review grocery stores on Unilocal and it looks like they do. Some people will review just about anything! Here is my review… I buy food and household goods here. It is convenient and they have what I need or a reasonable substitute. Thanks to items purchased at Raley’s I have yet to starve, have kept up on my personal hygiene and my house is reasonably clean. I can also get my meds at the pharmacy. I would recommend that you go here if you need items that are normally found at a grocery store :-) Sorry I don’t have a long, drawn out story about buying meds for my precious baby.

Raley’s really is a great grocery store.
Things I love about shopping at Raley’s:
1. The store is always clean and well stocked.
2. The staff are super friendly and helpful.
3. They have a nice little organic section of produce.
4. Their meat counter is one of the best in town.
5. They have a nice selection of local wines.
6. Good deli selections.
7. The «Extra» magazine.
Things that are not my favorite about Raley’s:
1. Everything seems to cost a little more at Raley’s.
2. Not a great selection of organic dairy products.
3. Hmm…
I guess that about sums it up. Raley’s is a great store with friendly staff but their pricing is a little higher than some of the other stores in town. To me, it’s worth paying a little more to have great customer service and a clean, well-​stocked store.

I had to live in Galt for a few months last year and it looks like I am going to have to stay for at least a couple of months this year. All I can say is that if this Raley’s wasn’t right here, living in Galt would be nearly unbearable. I love this Raley’s, they save my ass all the time with their good hours and helpful staff.
The pharmacy is far above average. Once I had to give my daughter some medicine for something called croup. Since I am usually alone with my Z, I had to bring baby to the pharmacy, sick, wrapped up in a blanket. This was last year in March. The staff took tremendous pity on my situation and they were as anxious as I was to get her better. Croup is really scary, it sounds terrible, and looks worse. But it is not very serious at all if treated. They filled the prescription for a medicine they didn’t have by actually communicating with the doctor and changing the order for a very similar drug in a different form that would do the same thing.
It was a challenge getting 11 pills down baby’s throat, confirmed by my Dad’s comment: «You’re never gonna get that baby to take 11 pills,» but I just put them in Jello since she swallows that whole for some reason. She figured out what I was doing around pill 10. But Dad was very impressed. He had that «oh shit, my kid just taught the teacher» look of awe on his face. Yes, that is pride. I left the last two pills to Dad’s cruder means, which looks something like a seasoned veterinarian flicking a pill down a cat’s throat with his fingers. Not pretty. Oh, Zoey. When are you gonna learn that Mama knows best?
Anyway, my point is that the pharmacist here knows her medicines, and that kind of initiative saved me a bunch of trouble toting around a sick child all day looking for damn pills. This pharmacy also fills my own medicines with no problems, and the staff is very kind. They don’t act like you are a number like they do at Rite-​Aid and Walgreens. The staff smiles and remembers my medicines.
This is a theme at most of the Raley’s stores, excepting the store on Freeport Blvd., where it seems that some bad seeds may have been grandfathered in. Raley’s is very conscientious in their hiring practices for their pharmacy staff, in my opinion, as a corporation. If I have a question about giving my daughter something for pain or for a cough, the pharmacists at most Raley’s stores never seem to annoyed to answer it. I don’t like dragging my daughter into the doctor’s office all the time for simple issues.
All of the other sections are above average in most respects. They do not carry my sister’s favorite coconut water which is annoying. But I know they will if I ask them to. I just haven’t got around to it yet.
Anyway, this is a great store and it is so close to where I stay. It is expensive but it is more expensive nowadays to drive to Lodi or Elk Grove or even into Central Galt (LOL.)

An aside: What the heck is going on with the exiting situation for Central Galt off HWY 99 anyway? They really need to wrap all that up already. Just another reason to Raley’s. I hate construction projects that are constantly unfinished or stalled. I think there should be a law enforcing that things be finished within a clear window of time, which provides for all possible stalls. Seriously the landscape in Galt isn’t that complicated. Doesn’t anyone in Galt feel like this «revamp» is taking too long? Come on. Someone call somebody and wrap it up already.

I work in the shopping center where this Raleys is located and I absolutely love it. The organic section cannot be beat! It is absolutely one of the best ones I’ve been to. Not only that, but everything is always clean and faced. Which those two things always create a great shopping experience. I live in Lodi and wish the one in town there was more similar to this one. I actually «really» wish that I could carry this Raleys in my back pocket so it was close no matter what.
Also, customer service is always great at this Raleys. Always friendly. Always smiling.

I got here a few times a week. I like it when I get the 10 cents off or 25 cents off groceries. The people are nice. Super clean. They are always sweeping the floor! My son loves to get his free cookie and free Raley’s balloon. now he also like to sample the cheese from the deli guy ;)
I get there e coupons as well, sometimes there is free items in there or really great deals. i like there add too.
One thing, my husband Loves Vanilla Coke. They seem to be out like half the time. But that doesnt bother me because i have been trying to get him to quit drinking so much. :)

this is my second favorite place to get groceries from, my first being Nugget market but they can be expensive
the nice thing about this raleys is that everything is located in good spots
the other cool thing about this raleys is the spend $ 50 and u get 10 cents off every gallon of gas u buy
and $ 100 is 25 cents off the same thing

Deli: Over the last 6 months of traveling through, I have stopped to get a sandwich. The 1^st sandwich was excellent and would of given it 4 stars. Since then, I have given it numerous attempts to redem themselves with awful sandwiches: Stale bread, not having everything for the sandwich where they say it has (mixed greens, you know that yuppie greens? only to have old bruised romaine).
My last attempt was a breakfast burrito. They did not have any veggie ones which once again they say they have on menu. I ended up getting a a bacon one which made me very sick later that day. I even picked the bacon out! Phew, thank goodness, the porcelin was not my best friend for long!
For now on when I am driving south on 99, I am going to keep on driving right past Raleys and skip that trip to the deli.

These people go above and beyond in the friendly department. Best grocery store around, price aside.

I love Raley’s for the cleanliness it brings. Thats important to me because when Im at a grocery store I usually get GROCERIES!!! The prices are a lil higher at some other markets… But I’d pay a lil more for better service and quality. Employees greet you with a smile and ask if you need any help.

I grew up in San Jose which didn’t have a Raley’s. Every summer we would vacation in Lake Tahoe which did. Without a doubt, it was our favorite store. With it’s fantastic selection, large isles, great customer services, and descent prices, we couldn’t be any happier.
Now I live in the Central Valley and am happy to drive right past other stores to get to my Raley’s. It’s clean, well lit, stocked full, and the meats and produce are always pleasing. While this locations bakery is lacking when compared to other Raley’s, it still puts out a great cake or two and I love those eclairs! :)
Having become accustomed to the Raley’s in Manteca, I still find myself two years later still looking lost when trying to find an item. Some of the products are placed in areas that don’t make sense to me, but for the most part, you can find what you’re looking for fairly quick.
One other benefit is the Raley’s Aisle 1 which is the name for it’s gas station. The gas isn’t the benefit but rather the discount (10 cents for $ 50 spent and 25 cents off per gallon for $ 100 or more spent) at the pump you’ll get. Without that discount, Isle 1s gas is pricey, but with the two bits off, you’ll be cheaper than those «cash only» discount places at times. I state at times because it takes them like weeks to reduce the price to reflect the market. When it does get corrected, you quarter off will nab you a great deal.
