Restaurant serve primarily rice and egg noodle with pork and chicken broth combine. Broth is on the light side. Average price, portion is a little small for my taste but then I have a large appetite. I had the combination egg and rice noodle dry with broth on the side. The egg noodle was over cooked and soft instead of a little elasticity. The combination includes shrimp, calamari, pork shoulder, ground pork, quail egg, julienne Chinese celery, fried shallot, and soy base sauce. Overall the place is average nothing special. Maybe next time I whim try either the Hai Nam chicken rice or the fried chicken rice.

My parents and I went here for lunch since we were in the area and decided to give it a try. I got the Hu Tieu Kho Thap Cam(dry noodles w/everything in it) and it was okay. I’ve had better tasting(and cheaper) Hu Tieu at other Vietnamese restaurants around the area. My parents both got the Phở Ga(chicken phở) and they were content with their meal. I noticed other reviews mentioned that the phở ga came with a side of the spicy ginger sauce but my parents didn’t get it with their meal. Total for 3 bowls of noodles and a pot of tea came out to about $ 23. With lots of Vietnamese restaurants around the area that are better tasting/cheaper, I don’t see much potential in this restaurant since it’s on the outskirt of the heart of Little Saigon area. Service was fantastic and the restaurant was pretty clean but unless I am in the area, I probably won’t come back. They accept credit cards but will charge a 50 cent fee per transaction.

My husband and I stopped in here tonight before our movie. The place is very clean. We were greeted with a smile. The broth was very flaverful. We will come back.

World’s best PHO! They use fresh noodles instead of the rehydrated ones. The PHO water is perfect, with very rich flavors. Every one there works together so service is great. Your food comes out really fast here.

When you’re sick for a whole week, all you really want is some of mom’s noodle soup. Unfortunately, my mom doesn’t deliver last minute so I had to venture out and find some myself. Phở 86 tasted wholesome & clean as opposed to being loaded with MSG. I ordered the mi tom thit(egg noodle soup with shrimp & pork). The shrimp was fresh and the soup warmed my belly. They serve it with a side of bean sprouts, lime, and leafy vegetables. My boyfriend got the phở ga. I loved that it cMe with a side of ginger fish sauce. The chicken wasn’t dry at all. The noodles were cooked through. I would like to come back and try the hainan chicken. The woman who took our order said that that menu item was pretty popular with the customers.

Their regular Hu tie GA was not enough to satisfy a small hunger. The tiny chicken pieces will make your stomach grumble, and you wish you had eaten elsewhere. They try to skimp on the water too. The cup of water was kid size. The soup cost $ 7.50. I gave her $ 20.50 and she gave me $ 12 back instead of $ 13. The old lady there will not give back the correct change, so be careful when you eat here. They charge 0.50 if you use credit card(visa). Never gonna eat here again.

This place disappointed me. I thought it was like phở 86. The waitress wasnt all there. She was confusing as hell. My friend wanted phở and she said large noodles and we were like small ones and she kept on flip flopping about the size of phở noodles. I asked for a small bowl of dry egg noodles and she kept on asking if i wanted large. I repeated small dry egg noodles. I repeated dry noodles a few time. I did not get dry egg noodles. I told the man. He took it back and it was obvious that they poured out the soup. My noodles were too soft and it was the most watery dry noodles i ever had. You can see a puddle under all the noodles. Never again!

Overpriced for the amount of food you get. They also don’t actually serve phở, which may or may not be what you’re looking for. The menu shows a large bowl for $ 8.50 but they charged me $ 8.75, plus $ 0.50 for a card transaction. So the total came to $ 9.25 for a bowl of food that wasn’t very large at all. They also seemed sort of stingy with the amount of meat they put in there. Food was decent but for the price you could do better.

Expensive and not good. Very minimal work was put into the dish. My hu tieu năm vang was bleh. Nothing memorable. Lack of ingredients and the bowl is super small. For $ 8

I love the broth at this place, OMG, the tasted was so authentic that I could not find at anywhere else. I used to like the Hu Tiu at Co Ba restaurant, but it seems to go down so this is a new place for me. The restaurant is nice, new and clean and not over crowded, which is good for me, a loner customer, lol. The services was good too, but remember to ordered a large size bowl because their noodle portion is kind of small.

Seriously? Lying to your customers, is it really worth it? Clearly 86 restaurant is not Phở 86. I understand that but i saw the signs outside said«chicken noodle» i was hoping it’s chicken Phở. So before i go inside i asked to makes sure if they have Phở. There was 3 workers standing outside the store at that time and one of them said«No» and one said«yes, but only chicken Phở» I decided to eat here but as she handed me the menu i realize there is no «chicken Phở» on the menu. But she kept telling me that she has phở here. I ordered, and about 5 minutes later she brought out Phở with the broth they use for«Hu tieu» WTF??? I understand they just wanted to make money, but if you don’t have something just tell me you don’t have it. Don’t think everyone is stupid. This will be the 1st and also last time i ever come here.

Good place to grab some lunch. Call in your order ahead of time though, they get slammed. I tried their Com Ga Roti and it was pretty good. The red rice is flavorful, however next time I’d opt to get the regular white rice instead. Chicken cooked thoroughly and tasty. Sauce is pretty much the same everywhere you go. At $ 8.25 though, you have to draw comparisons to Nha Hang’s $ 6 similar offering. For about $ 6 and some change, the other version comes with a fried egg. The portion of rice is a bit smaller and the Cornish hen size is variable throughout the day. If I’m close by work, I’ll order here.

Trying out this new restaurant since it nearby. The food is average. I order hu tieu combination which is decent, the soup is a little bland. My husband order mi tom in which the noodle is a little overcooked, soggy. The chicken roti was really good. The meat is really moist but the dipping sauce taste like diluted hoisin sauce. As for the eating experience, it is 2 stars, they didn’t turn on the AC, I was sweating when it already 7pm. They open the door, so there is a fly keep on flying around us the entire meal. Overall, if I’m happen to be nearby I would eat again, but it is not a place that I would look forward to come back.

I’m Vietnamese, but I eat don’t a lot of Vietnamese food due to the fact that I get so irritated driving through Bolsa to get food. I was pretty excited when I saw that a new, NEARER, Vietnamese restaurant was opening, and even told my mom that we should go try it out once it opens. I went once on my own to check out the place, and sadly, they do not accept credit cards… I really think because of their location, it’d be wise to accept credit cards, simply because all the restaurants around them accept them too.(–1 star) Second time, I had cash, so I decided to stop by for lunch. Lunch hour was packed, but they seated me in 5 minutes. Customer flow was quick; Customers stopping by for a quick lunch and leave pretty quickly too. The staff and chefs are very nice; They were VERY patient with me because I had no idea what to order(I didn’t know what Hu Tieu was, lol…) After I paid, one of the ladies in the back asked if I was Vietnamese and asked me how the food was. She invited me back to try more menu items, and thanked me for trying out the restaurant. It was a very family– friendly atmosphere, which I really like.

Nice little find close to home. Had a little difficulty as the server did not speak English but managed to figure it out. Just after we ordered the English speaking owner came in, but we were good. The glass noodle soup was great. Broth was not as heavy as a lot of Phở broths but was not watery. The Hu Tieu was great. I’m guessing it is like the Mekong version of Bun. I think I like it much better. One star knocked for portion size(actually should probably be half a star) but ingredients were fresh, the Café Sua Da was made to order and the place was clean. Will be back but will order the large next time!

Food is nothing spectacular, just average. The portion is too small. I was still hungry after the meal. I ordered the spring rolls and com ga hai nam dish. The chicken has very little meat, it is mostly bone and skin. I wouldn’t come back because the food is forgettable.

We came to support the newbies in town. The place is nice and clean played my Vietnamese jam over the speakers at the right level. It’s a small new join that offers about less than 15 dishes. I like how they kept the menu at Hu tieu, mi, a few rice dishes and phở ga. We order: Phở ga: large bowl for $ 8.50 and small $ 7.50. We ordered a large and it was not huge, but large enough to eat. The chickens we left on bone and there were about 7 – 8 pieces. My husband is more like a big shreds of chicken so he wasn’t really into the chicken on the bone. The soup was decent, nothing out of the ordinary. Good enough to drive real close to eat. Hu tieu kho: dried noodles with bun phở. It was good and nice flavoring. $ 8.50 for a large bowl. We’ll be back!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants around if you’re looking for great service and something a little different from the usual«phở» or rice plates!“Hu Tieu” is basically the cousin of «phở» and really hits the spot if you’re looking for a change!

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been too! I went to the grand opening of 86 Restaurant and i couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The customer service was exceptionally phenomenal the food is right on point and delicious! If you are looking for a place for good authentic Vietnamese food, 86 Restaurant is the way to go! I have also tried their Phở restaurants and those are one of the best in OC as well! The owner she is very welcoming and always caring about her customers! I love 86 Restaurant and Phở 86! So if you are looking for a great time with friends and family this restaurant is the best place to go!
