Dao Smog Test Only

The friendliest car service I’ve ever gotten. The owner and his wife made me feel so comfortable and the whole visit took about 15 minutes!
Would definitely recommend and will be back here when I need another smog test!

Very nice people, when i came it was around 8:30 am. the owner greeted and was very accomodating. her her wife is also very nice, results in 20 mins, fast and clean place, i would definitly come back after 2 years. and i will recommend them to friends.

Ok let me just start by saying I was really annoyed to have to get a smog check. We just bought a used car a few weeks ago and the dealership (in San Diego) just called and said the car needs a smog check and we can either take the 2 hour drive there or get it and they will send us a check. Seeing as we have 3 kids and are in the process of moving, I was really annoyed.
I picked the closest place to us that had good reviews & that was Dao’s.
I drove up and a man greeted me right away and showed me where to park. I was in a hurry so I asked how long it will take he said he will do it right then. Sweet.
Well I started taking out my 3 kids and he said its ok that we can just sit in the car while he does it. This immediately made me happy because lugging 3 kids around is a mission in itself.
He brought us out cold waters and was done in 12 minutes. He even insisted that I stay in the car and brought the receipt for me to sign to my door.
That is awesome service. Seriously, haven’t been ‘wowed’ by any service anytime recently. This guy is awesome though.
All smog places do the same thing, if you want amazing customer service come here. Is was $ 50 total for the smog check and the certificate.

After reading all the reviews i cruised over to Dao Smog area and was greeted before I even got out of my car by Dao! What an awesome guy with a friendly smile. He made everything painless and easy! He even grabbed a water and we started to talk about how the day was going. I went around 11:30 am and thought there might be some people ahead of time, but nope! He explained everything and made it super simple. The whole process took 10 – 15 min. I was in and out in no time. It made me wonder why I ever went to different smog tests centers ever again. Seriously…

Chú Dao was really welcoming when I came in to have a smog check for my car today. He greeted us with a big smile and told us to make ourselves at home while we wait. He offered us waters and was very kind as we held a conversation about the healthiness of my car. I recommend this place for anyone who needs a star certified smog check. I will definitely come back here whenever I need a smog check!!!

I was greeted right away by Dao (i’m assuming) with a giant smile on his face and an enthusiastic wave. He took my keys and told me to take a seat and grabbed me a water bottle. I was expecting less than perfect service as i have in the past with different smog stations. Not sure if i just had a rough day at work, but his simple optimisim just made me so happy. So much so that i decided to write a review (im still waiting for him to finish paperwork). Dao made me feel like i won an award when he told me, «congratulations, you passed!». He was so sweet. Most definitely will be going back.

This is first time for me here.
Very courteous service, moved my car for me into the test area. When I have gone to other test centers in the past, they make you move it. Service was very fast. It was also nice to receive a cold bottle of water while I waited. Price was good too. I will be back here next time my car needs a smog check and I recommend it to others.

This shop is tucked away in a little auto square in my neighborhood. Very friendly owner. Took my car in on Saturday morning and he was able to perform the smog check right away. No frills no hassle. It’s a smog only station. I will definitely be back!

I called ahead to make sure they took walk-​ins and credit cards (& good news… they do!) I picked this place originally, since the shop is walking distance from my place and I needed a smog check. The reviews don’t lie… the husband & wife who run this shop are SOOOOO nice! Seriously, the sweetest people. I got my car checked in less than 20 minutes, as I was the only one there… he was so quick! Will be back next time! It was $ 50 for my Scion XD.

Very sweet owners. They move fast, are friendly and happy to serve, adding a bottle of water while you wait. Which isn’t long at all. I brought a book thinking I’d have a long wait but I could hardly get a quick chapter in when they were done. Every bit worth the $ 50.

Came to get a smog and took me in right away I had my car passed in less then 30 mins I would recommend to anyone and price is reasonable. Good job keep up the great business :)

Best smog experience ever! The guy working was super friendly and got me right in. I would definitely recommend this place!

Friendly and helpful. Didn’t have my smog check paper, but the guy was able to work with the info from my VIN.
My tests were done on Sat. morning. I did two (2) cars, one after another.

Came in 25 minutes before they close and he still greeted us with a smile. Super friendly mechanic, Sat us down on some comfy couches and even offered us some bottles of water as we wait.

On May 29 2015 I was running out of options since it was my last day to get smog check after other places turned me away. I called Dao Smog Test and talked with Michael and asked to see if he was busy. He asked me to come in 20 min.
I showed up just a tad early to make sure. He welcomed me into his shop, please have a sit, offered me water in the friendliest voice imaginable. It was very clear he loves his work and wanted my business. I had taken my truck to two other places and was told my trucks computer was missing one bit of data of some sort they told me to try somewhere else. I was waiting for Micheal to tell me the same thing. After a couple of minutes he started on my truck. I noticed he was friendly and welcoming to all his costumers. Everything went smoothly and when I asked him about the computer not reading all data right he said it was all ok. When I went to pay he saw my Military Veteran’s ID and thank my several times for my service with severity. This is my place for smog from now on. This place is great for smog check, chances are you will think so too!

2 years ago I had gotten a smog check from Dao’s neighbor (A&B Smog). When I had called I thought I was talking to A&B, but I wasn’t. I was surprised that the price was lower than before and didn’t think much of it.
When I arrived I noticed that I had made an appointment with A&B’s neighbor; Dao.
Dao charged me $ 30 less than his neighbor and was very fast and thorough. He gave me a bottled water as I waited… very sweet. His English is cute as he tries to explain things.
I would certainly go to him and NOT his neighbor and I would also recommend anyone who reads this to go to him and not his neighbor.
