Michael Z Kurtz, DO

Dr. Kurtz is a very passionate doctor. He really cares about his patients and treats you as an individual as opposed to merely another one of his patients. He thoroughly addresses any issues you may have to be concerned about. His office has a wide range of specialists that can fulfill any needs you may have. Dr. Kurtz ensures that all of his patients receive the medical attention they require. For example, I was due for a mammogram. He emphasized the importance of regular mammogram checks, and went a step further and scheduled the appointment for me. Dr. Kurtz is a doctor who will go to great lengths to ensure the health and well-​being of his patients.

Ive been a patient of Dr. kurtz for over 20 years. He has a great personality and is a warm and caring Doctor. He always asks about my family who were also his patients before moving out of state. Highly recommended!

My husband took our toddler to see Dr. Kurtz for her well baby check-​up, as we are trying to find a new doctor (the old one took on too many patients and it was impossible to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time). Although Dr. Kurtz seemed really nice, and seemed to truly care about his patients, we decided not to return because he is anti-​vax and we are VERY pro-​vax. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but we are unable to continue to see a doctor whose beliefs are so fundamentally different than our own.

He made you feel that you belonged to him and that he was going to do everything he could to help you. I have never been treated so well by a doctor as I was by Dr Kurtz. I was given more tests in 3 hours in one morning than all other doctors combined in 2 years .
He wants you to be well.
And … You feel you are in the care of one of Gods greatest healers …

If you want a doctor that REALLY cares about his patients, this is the doctor for you. He acts like you are a customer (which you are), not as if you are stupid layman. He is super intelligent and keeps up on everything new, as well as remembering what worked in the past. Another advantage is that he has many testing facilities on site. Other places send you all over to get blood tests and x-​rays, etc. His associate, Dr. McKinley is also very good.
The only recommendation that I have is for you to write down what your problems are, and what your requests are in advance. It is easy to start talking to him about other things, and then you forget what you are really there for.
The downside is, He does not accept HMO’s, and there may be a long wait to see him. So be prepared for the whole thing to take awhile. He takes PPO’s and cash patients.

The downside to writing a great review about Dr. Kurtz is risking bringing crowds of new patients to see him. Though I’d love to keep him all to myself, I guess spreading the word and bringing him into the lives of others would count as good karma. So, here goes: He is better than everyone says. He is brilliant, kind beyond words, a great listener, and funny to the point that he could probably moolight as a standup comedian. I’m not sure how old he is, but I plan on him being my family doctor until the day he retires. Hopefully he continues working another forty years!

I just wanted to take a moment to recommend this Doctor to anyone who can see him. Doctor Kurtz is AMAZING, and really makes you feel like he cares about your well being.
He refuses to take HMO insurance any more, because of the bureaucratic red tape that comes with them, and really goes the extra mile to make sure you are getting the care you need!
