V & J Stairs

This place was great when they were in Redondo Beach and we used them a couple of times with great results, the staff at the location in Gardena/​Carson is horrible and the business is a caged fortress where the employee is afraid. They ask you to email and they never get back to you. I would never recommend this business and location to anyone.

In the spirit of supporting local business, I discovered a true treasure.
The intention was to tear out a crappy old carpet in 3 large rooms and a hallway & replace with some kind of wood flooring that didn’t cost a fortune. Real wood was out of the question for me due to cost, I quickly learned as I shopped around. The good news is that nowadays the fake wood flooring that’s available is pretty darn nice.
After driving all over South Bay, would you believe I finally found the coolest products at the best prices just a few blocks from home. In fact the prices at V & J blew everyone else’s, including the big chain stores, right outta the water.
And the service I got was no less than spectacular.
This is a family-​owned & operated business, and they’ve been in this business a very long time. Their brochure shows impressive photos of wood stairs and railings, including glass railings & wrought iron stairs, cable railings & mantels. They produce the custom work in their shop in Gardena.
I got some custom mouldings along with my floors. And at some point I’ll be doing a flight of curved stairs. Real wood has to be used on stairs so it won’t be super cheap, but I can’t wait to experience the quality of workmanship I’ve learned to expect from V & J.
These are really nice people, highly professional, who aim to please & are a joy to work with.
