DO NOT STAY HERE— YOU DON’T WANT TO GET PINK EYE!!! This place is DISGUSTING. Within walking, we found a used sock peeking out from under the bed. Thinking it was a minor mistake we stayed… And I contracted PINK EYE from staying here. So disgusting. I have Urgent Care bills to pay for and the company refused to give me a refund. Actually, they refused to call me back. I called THREE times to the front desk, not ONE phone call back. Finally I emailed the actual company, Choice Hotels, in which they explained each hotel is individually owned and it’s up to the owners discretion of what to do with my complaint and claimed that said owner had 72 hours to make a decision. Well it’s been two weeks since the altercation and haven’t heard one word from this hotel. What a complete joke, they have no value in customer relationships, nor respect for their customers. I will never support this company and make sure that everyone knows how disgusting, down right foul this hotel is. I wish I could give this place 0 stars, it’s not even worthy of one.

Here now our work booked another hotel which was overbooked and stuck here, really not sure i am staying another night. Front desk was wonderful and sweet but just found two small spiders when I pulled down the bed sheets, all bedding clean but stained, do not think I can get past insects in bedding

Stay away if possible. They will quote you a price over the phone, and when you try to hold the room with card over phone they say no need see you when you get here. 3 hours later I show up and say I talked to you on phone and need the room. The price on the room then tripled. after arguing with the guy for 5 minutes he dropped the price down to $ 99 plus tax witch is still double the price quoted over the phone. Then he said for the confusion he would give me a room with 2 beds. Really I’m here alone like 2 beds dose anything for me. I believe they give you a price over the phone for last minute deal just to get you down here, then they know you’re stuck with the price they want to double or triple.

Riding my bike down the coast and had selected this as my likely destination for an inexpensive bed and shower. Online price was listed at $ 89/​night with 2 rooms still available as I approached. The lady at the counter, with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth (unlit) wouldn’t give me a room for less than $ 109. I rode two blocks north and found a room at the Garibaldi House Inn for a few dollars more, much cleaner and better overall value as it included EXCELLENT hot breakfast and very hospitable staff. Can’t comment on the rooms at Econo since I didn’t stay the night, but my impression was not positive.

Clean, comfortable, and superior front desk (general manager who works a LOT of hours!) lady.
Yes, it’s a bit dated, but I found it to be comfortable (hey, people, this isn’t a freaking B&B so leave your snooty attitudes in Mendocino, ‘kay?), well priced, and clean.

Cheapish hotel but not well maintained. We booked 2 rooms and one of them (ours) had several insects in them while the other one was cleaner. They do mention free breakfast but it was next to nothing. We went around 9.30am and asked for the breakfast room and were shown the corner of the reception room where there was a small fridge and a pot of coffee. It was empty and receptionist did not refill bit stating it was too close to 10am, which was closing time. We had no other option that night and stayed here. if we ever go that direction, i will keep driving and find something else rather then book this one.

The room had a nasty odor. The room was not clean. There was BLOOD on one of the pillows. We stripped the bedding off and used OUR sleeping bags for bedding. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever been on in a motel… EVER. I got up and slept in the crappy chair that was sitting next to the bed. The «high speed internet» was slower than dial up service. We paid for a room with a queen size bed, but the bed was a double. This place needs to be bull dozed and a new building put in. Everything looks like it might be from the late 1960’s or maybe the 1970’s. Needless to say the first night of our vacation wasn’t the most pleasant. The woman behind the check in desk must have been nearly a 100 years old. She never moved from her chair. I think it would be very fair to ask for a refund. We will never stay at another econo lodge, I just can’t take a chance it would be the same at another location.

We arrived here fresh from the dairy wonderland that is Tillamook, ready for our last night’s stay on the Oregon Coast. I was driving north and thought to myself, «okay, there’s the hotel sign on the left, let me turn in right here and – Hello, what’s this?» [dramatization] There were old train cars on a track stationed immediately behind the hotel lobby, old Amtrak Oregon Coast Explorer cars — how cool! I checked in, put up my bags, and then walked the line until it got dark.
The room itself had a good set of beds and fridge, though I don’t think there was a coffeemaker. No worries though, they start making it at 6 a few doors down. They also serve pre-​packaged muffins and instant oatmeal.
Waking up and opening our curtains gave us a view worth the price alone — the train cars, mountains with the sun coming from just above them, an old industrial smokestack, and one of those ubiquitous drive-​thru espresso stands (sigh). If that’s not enough you can walk the other direction from your room and within 45 seconds you’ve got a café serving good espresso drinks too. Spoiled!
Because the hotel was easy enough to deal with, a good value, and a comfortable resting spot they earn 4 stars. The trains, the view, and the walker’s varied selection of latte sources give it the perfect rating. I rest my case, and I rested my cases for that matter, at the Garibaldi Econo Lodge.

. Seemed decent for our road trip through Oregon but when we checked out the bed my girlfriend found a dead spider on top of the headboard. No biggy… Then we try the bed. Holy crap this bed is terrible! Probably the worst bed I’ve ever had in the 31 years of my life. Woke up many times with lower back pains. You can feel the springs in your back.
Overall the lodge was decent. It was quiet, the staff was friendly, and free working wifi. But after driving all day can’t a guy and his girl have a nice bed?

Nice manager, clean rooms, great beds, for the price cannot beat it
