Great sale on ellipticals in TODAYS
sale flier. I go in to buy one and they don’t have them in stock, no other stores have them in stock either. Did I mention this was TODAY’S paper!!! WTF — Sports Authority is the Walmart of sporting goods stores. This kind of thing happens every time I go there. Never will I set foot in there again!

I was just in for a North Face jacket along with a friend of mine, they would not price match their own website (saying they called corporate and corporate said no, the item was not clearance) we would have bought two for almost 200. We also had a 20% off total purchase coupon, we were hoping to take advantage of both promotions, even after explaining to the manager these are the promotions and him saying that would be ok. Turns out it wasn’t. Very disappointed they didn’t take the effort to close the easy sale they would have had. We will be either going to Dick’s or going online to REI, backmountain, Bass Pro or other competitor. We will also be willing to pay more because the sales team lacked the initiative and savvy to close the sale.

Went there today to do a little shopping. Found some great winter work out pants and some tennis gear. Made sure to ‘check in’ on Unilocal and was given a $ 10 coupon for a $ 50 purchase. Cool! Pick up an extra small item to get my ticket up to $ 50 and proceed to check out. The first gal tried to get the coupon code to work, could not… took the phone out of my hand tried again, couldn’t make it work. handed my phone to a co-​worker, he couldn’t get it to work. they then called the manager over and now he has my phone. he takes one look at it and says ‘it’s expired’ there was no expiration date on the Unilocal offer. i tell him this and he gets all indignant with me and says that the coupon was not put out by sports authority and refuses the discount. so i left my purchase at the register — poor form he could have honored it. oh well, they lost a sale

It’s a Sports Authority, and I’m not sure there is a whole lot else that needs to be said other than that. Like other Sports Authority’s it’s a good place to get a decent price on sporting goods and clothes. I came to this particular one to find skis which they do not carry, however they did have a large selection in many other sporting goods.
