Hardtails Bar and Grill

Came here for my high school reunion. The bar was filled with Mongol bigots and old bigots last night. I get it, it’s a biker bar. I’m just sick of these racist people looking at you sideways if you’re not white. However this seems about right for Georgetown.
A older white lady walked up to my boyfriend and commented on his septum nose ring, «in my day people didn’t wear nose rings nor did we see people like you. But you know how you Jamaicans do. You know what, I’m not even going to say it.»
My boyfriend just looked at her and said, «well this is a new era, you might as well get used to it.»
He’s not even Jamaican. Ignorance is a bliss I suppose.
Bad night.
The service was ok I suppose with the place being packed. All we had was a few beers. I don’t if it would have been better if this reunion wasn’t the same weekend as ROT.
If this review gets taken down, I will continue to repost it. I don’t tolerate racism in any public establishment get off your high horse racists this isn’t the 1950s, welcome to the new era where whites are becoming a minority. Be peaceful and respectful. Peace.
Update: just received a message from what appeared to be a possible employee maybe an owner for being «judgmental» on the racism I experience here. Me? Judgmental? No, judgmental are the bigots we encountered. How is this ok? I hope someday all this hate will end, most likely not in my lifetime. Maybe I’ll give this establishment another shot and will give a better review… but who knows the employees weren’t so friendly either. Especially when they roll your eyes at you as you’re trying to order a drink :(

The service is friendly and prompt.
The space is nice and there’s plenty of room.
The food is decent. Drinks are reasonably priced and well made.
Truth be told: As neither a golden-​oldie sun-​city-​type nor a biker gal, I just don’t feel quite right in this crowd. It’s fun to people watch when the music is up and people are dancing, but it’s just not a space for those of us in the 45 and younger crew who drive regular old Hondas, not hogs, and are trying to find our place in Georgetown.

Low Sunday traffic. Minimal biker activity today.
Service always friendly and efficient. Good food & quality.
Surprisingly the daytime crowd is mixed rough bikers and local golden agers. It’s all the good value and quaintly product.
Night party crowd is different.

My friend and I went here one night while she was visiting from Buda and omg I’ve never had worse customer service. they came to our table quickly but the waitresses attitude was atrocious. She rolled her eyes at us while we were ordering and kept pausing and staring at us after we would order then say «okay. what else.» After that it just got worse. She kept coming to our table asking if we were done and if we needed anything else. I’ve never felt so unwelcome and rushed. I ordered an appetizer that was decent but when the girl brought it out she stared at us as she set it on the table then continued to stare as she went back to the kitchen area. I’m so weirded out by this place and the service they provide. I will never go back.

We go here often for lunch. The burgers are the best and I recently tried the wings which were great. Service is good and we love the casual atmosphere. This is definitely our go to place for the best burgers in town. It may look like a biker bar but it’s not. It’s a place for everyone with great food. So glad they are in Georgetown as it’s close to home.

My recent experience at Hard Tails has to be the worst it’s ever been anywhere. Co-​worker and I walk in and sit for twenty minutes while waitresses completely ignore us! I had to get up and ask for menus letting the waitress know she has another table. Ten minutes pass and it didn’t work. We had no choice but to embarrassingly walk out. Same happened to a different workgroup that we know. Bad attitudes and poor waitstaff. I’m sure the food would reflect the service.

Great atmosphere… awesome live music. Food is amazing we had sweet potatoe fries and the frido pie. Very laid back.

This is a hard one. It really depends on what you order. The cheese burger is above average and the clam chowder is great. On the other hand the fried mushrooms are mostly hard batter and the Friday fish lunch side are very small, half of a quarter cup of beans and coleslaw .
It’s a biker bar with alot is seniors, after all it close to Sun City. I will come back and try other things. The have live music 3 days a week. Will take friends here.

My favorite place for a Ruben sandwich, for a lighter appetite you can order ½ a sandwich. The hamburgers are excellent and can be ordered on a jalapeño cheddar bun.

Went her with my mom and her husband on a Saturday, Feb 6^th if I remember right. First time I ever ate here, defiantly the last time. My mom and I both ordered the chicken fried chicken, we both sent our food back TWICE as our sides (green beans and mashed potatoes) were dead cold.
After the 2^nd time we had been waiting for our food for over an hour and 15 minutes. The waitress hadn’t clued in that we were a bit upset at this point, I had to go find the manager myself. Manager comes over and says she will remove our meals from the bill … but still charged us for our ice teas.
There are numerous places to eat in Georgetown with so much better service … do yourself a favor and pas on Hardtails, the wait staff are bad, and this particular manager was awful.

Very cool atmosphere. The «bitch dip» is AWESOME! Not a biker myself, but still always feel welcome here. Only complaint I have is the drinks they pour are pretty weak for what they charge and service could be a slight bit better.

Great Georgetown bar! Burgers are out of this world! They are fabulous! You must try the bitch dip! I could eat a whole vat of this! Onion rings are good! Service is ok and could use improvement.

Hands down the best hamburger I have ever eaten! Been two weeks in a row now. Today we are going to try out the breakfast!

Where should you go when you’d like to be intellectually insulted and berated by your bartender? Try hardtails! If you believe in the luck of the draw, you may end up with a discount your friends aren’t exactly privy to. You drink 4 beers and your friends have 3? Yay you! Your bartender has no idea how to do math or work a computer. Therefore, you pay same price, yay!!! Poor service and mediocre atmosphere are sure to make you wish you were elsewhere. Mix that with a bartender who will address your tip amount, cash payment or not, and you have a winning combination. Hardtails, where money matters and service sucks. High school education not required.

My doctor told me to get as much fat, grease and salt as possible. At least that is what I thought he said. So I got the deep fried hot dog wrapped in bacon. It provided all the fore– mentioned food groups above. It was good and I followed the doctor’s orders. So win, win.

The place it’s really cool looking, the food is great most of the time.
Service it’s horrible, even when it’s empty.
been there a few times, unless your willing to chase the waitress around you will be waiting 15 min to get acknowledge another 30 somethings up to an hour for the food to come out.
If your there just for a beer, it’s a cool place just make sure you order at the bar and be loud.

Great local bar, really good drinks… Food is great and you got to try the bitch dip!!!

When you walk thru the door you are welcomed by a friendly bartender or server. Seat yourself.
There is a beautiful huge fan from the Big ass fan company that is reason to go alone.
Every week day there is a tasty lunch special for about 6.99…Everything from chicken fried steak to meatloaf.
But the burgers are the BEST… that or the Reuben sandwich. It’s hard to find a good Reuben sandwich you know.
I highly recomend checking this place out. Live music… good drinks… pool tables… patio…

If you’re looking for a good local bar to make your new home, this is the place. The staff is over friendly and I couldn’t ask for better service. Carrie was my bartender and she was the most jolly person I’ve seen in weeks. I love when you go places and the workers love their jobs this much. Carrie will take care of you!
Tonight was karaōke night, which was a blast. They have pool tables and even TV’s in the outside patio area!
They have this huge fan that is just cool to look at.
