Unfortunately, Mayday Solutions was acquired by a different company — i.e., Massey Services Inc. (servicing FL, GA, LA, & TX; FYI, Massey also acquired Green Pest Services of Austin last August — see reviews). After the acquisition, I was told there would be no changes in applications (i.e., chemicals employed) or insect inclusions in my quarterly plan. I was misinformed. Massey’s quarterly program does not include the same services as Mayday’s did (e.g., mosquitoes [Massey was emphatic when telling me Mayday did not include this service either; however, I had used them for two years and I assure you they did — whether it was in a written contract or not]).
Sadly Massey does not use the same products, service techniques, or offer the same treatments for insects under the same plans at the same price as Massey. Totally different business. On their last visit, the technician just showed up at my home without an appointment — which is not acceptable as I have a dog who is part of the family. I was perplexed and he stated that he had called and left two messages days before as the instructions on my account were to call ahead. Obviously, if I did not respond, I did not get the messages (I was traveling). Very courteous technician; however, obvious miscommunication between the office (female rep — Beverly — whom I spoke to via first phone call was not the friendliest by the way; contrarily, the office manager Lindsey is very courteous and understanding) and/​or disorganized scheduling,.
Have had Massey service my home a few times since the transition and I am not seeing nearly the same results as I did with Mayday. Massey takes a much more EPA friendly approach, which I would appreciate, IF the products were just as effective as Mayday’s. I have taken into consideration the excessive recent rain, but cannot justify this as a valid reason for such a drastic change in effectiveness of prevention of pests (e.g., spiders, beetles) entering my home. Massey is simply not working for my personal needs. Massey may work for you, but sadly, I cannot personally recommend.
If Mayday were still around, they would always remain on my Unilocal «BEST list of all!» :(

I was hunting for a new Pest Control company. The previous one I used lost my favorite technician and I didn’t like the way the owner handled the business. Enough said. I checked Angie’s List, left messages for a few companies, but when I talked to Mayday, I was very pleased at what they had to say. Treated inside & out, dusted for scorpions in the attic, knocked down wasp & mud dauber nests, spider webs outside. Technician was very pleasant and professional. Price was better than any company that I contacted and they include many things that other companies don’t. So, I agreed to a quarterly annual contract. Everyone was pleasant that I spoke with, prompt to return my call left on the weekend and the tech was on time. A+A+A+A+A

I wish I could give a full 5 stars, because the owners truly care about their customers and tolerate nothing but complete professionalism from their employees. The very first time they came out it was the owners themselves (father and son). One of the owners informed me that for my particular ant situation I may need to have a second treatment within 10 – 14 days following depending on success of the first treatment. He was right. So I scheduled an 8:00 A.M. Saturday appointment. The employee arrived a few minutes early. I explained to him where in the house I was still noticing ants (several locations). He only treated one of them, and by «treated» I mean he squirted a small dab of gel on the counter top ledge. He was in and out before the initial appointment time. I was less than surprised and equally displeased when sure enough– the ant problem persisted. I called and expressed my concerns to the very nice lady who answered the phone. The owner called me from his personal number to apologize and assure me I would never run into this issue ever again in the future. Both times they’ve come out I’ve had to call for a second treatment, which wouldn’t be a bother, but I leave a lovely tip for the first guy that comes, and so I feel obligated to tip the follow-​up guy too. I would like to note, aside from the tip, the second visit is covered under their 90-​day guarantee. I will continue to use Mayday for my pest control needs.

I am not sure what happened with Mike B. because my experiences with Mayday have been outstanding. I have never, ever used chemicals in my houses but the scorpions were so bad here that I had to break down and have the house treated. Everyone I have dealt with has been wonderful, courteous, and professional. We saw a scorpion 7 weeks after our initial treatment and the owner’s son just left our house, after spraying everything again, for NO Charge! I am so pleased and can’t say enough nice things about this company. Also, I didn’t know how bug free my life could be, and it is wonderful! Thank you Mayday.

I’ve left several messages with them, since they don’t answer their phones, and asked them to call me back. It’s irritating because the voice message says they will call back asap. It’s been 2 weeks.

I find it incredibly interesting how much our previous pest management company *wasn’t* doing compared to all of the things that a technician from Mayday came out and did today. He was on time, courteous, honest, informative, and a really nice guy. To say the least, I’m incredibly impressed by the service I received. We definitely won’t be going back to our previous pest management company now that we know what great pest management really is!

Mayday is awesome. They know scorpions and we get a lot out here in Western Georgetown. I was referred to them from a friend and they have gone above and beyond my expectations. Ben, Billy and the front office staff are great. When I was having scorpion problems, Brad the wonder came out. They are dedicated and their customer service is phenomenal. No spider, no scorpions, no bugs thanks to Mayday.

I had a massive flea infestation at my house last summer and Mayday came out. When the first treatment didn’t work, they came out again and took care of it. I told them that I didn’t have the money to pay them right away and they told me to pay when I could and treated my house anyway. What other place would have done that? They are kind, do good work and never bothered me for payment and they’ll get it from me soon. I will continue to refer them to everyone who asks.

The owner pulled up on a moped last summer and asked for our business. He was super friendly and said there would be no other pest control co that would or could do a better job than Mayday. I took him at his word and agreed to the one year svc agreement. They came out promptly to treat but we still had bugs. We called again and they came back out. We still had issues with ants and spiders. Granted I should have called again but life gets busy and then the holidays started. I thought they were going to come out for the second treatment but never did. Supposedly they said they tried to call but who know. I got a call today from the lady in the Ofc. She wanted to schedule the new service contract for $ 85 so they could come out to treat. When I began to explain that we weren’t totally happy with the first treatment she copped a real attitude and started in on me telling me how wrong I was not to have called them. I told her I had more important things going on in life than to call every other day about bugs because their treatment doesn’t work. Anyway we will not be calling Mayday for pest control. That’s for sure.

Mayday has exceeded my expectations! I had an extreme infestation problem and they honored their guarantee and went out multiple times at no extra cost to remedy the problem. I’m very satisfied with their service.
