My jeep was being running pretty rough while I was running errands with my kids. I called mike because I’d rather drive to a shop than be stranded in a parking lot. He diagnosed the problem quickly and stopped what he was doing to take great care of us. My daughter loved hanging out at the library while our car was being fixed (it’s across the street) and we were back on the road in no time! Thank you mike for such wonderful service!

My brakes were making a weird sound for a couple days and I decided to take it in to Mike’s Automotive based on previous Unilocal reviews and that he was close to my work. Of course the morning I decided to take in my vehicle it was no longer making the weird braking sound. I decided to take it in anyway just to be safe. Mike immediately took a look at it and said the brakes were good and did not need to be replaced. I appreciate the honesty and him going over the brake system with me. He spent 20 — 30 min with me and did not charge me a dime.

The check engine light is lighting. Diagnostic was done. They were truthful, fast and respectful. I was only charged for the service. I would definitely comeback.

This is the only repair shop I truly trust. Very knowledgeable and honest. Do yourself a favor and use this shop.

I had an alternator go out as I was leaving town to head to Fort Worth for a funeral. He was honest, friendly, worked me in, did great work and got me back on the road in plenty of time. I would highly recommend friends of mine to go there.

I have taken my car to the «other guy» since I moved here in 2012 and always trusted them (due to their name). I had not only a wonderful time listening to Mike and his sidekick today crack jokes and look over my car but he saved me a butt load of money and I got schooled today. The «other guy» recommended over $ 730.00 worth of work that «needed» to be done to my car. Mike not only checked all their «recommendations» but showed me for myself of how NOT true any of it was. My cost today with Mike…$ 38.79. PLUS the little magical thing they put in my gas tank helps with not so many fill-​ups at the gas station (this was included in the $ 38.79). Come to find out my particular car NEVER EVER needs a transmission flush or filter per the life of the transmission. He even showed me the authentic letter (with code) straight from the factory. When I called the Dodge dealer last week they were even trying to get me in there to have the tranny filter changed and it would have screwed up my car even worse! Don’t they read their own factory memo’s??? Hmmmm. Of course, they want me to come back for all the problems it would have caused me. This house is a permanent customer to Mike for ALL our vehicles from now on. I simply can’t thank you enough. Finally a trustworthy mechanic, worth his weight in gold. God bless you!

How much do I trust and love Mike’s Automotive? Well let’s just say I drive all the way to Mike’s in Georgetown from my apartment located in south Austin off Ben White and Lamar. That’s a 30 minute drive easy.
Mike is the only honest mechanic I know. He never pushes you into buying something and he’ll tell you what needs to be fixed now and what repairs you can hold off on till it really needs it so your pocketbook isn’t hit all at once. He will also tell you when another autoshop or dealership is trying to pull one over on you.
Quality, genuine personalized service is what you get at Mike’s Automotive. They’ve got just the one bay so call ahead and make an appointment. They will get you in and out and back on the road without spending a fortune.
