Dave Morris is great and he is my go to guy for heating and air. I have used Morris Heating & Air for about 3 years now. I have a rental house and he fixed a botched job that was messed by another A/​C person. I have also used Dave for our residential work and he has offered temporary fixes until we can get our budget in order. I also had someone else come out and do an estimate and Morris Heating & Air was actually $ 1000 less! That’s a huge difference. Dave is not pushy and does wonderful work and offers top quality systems plus he will get back to you quickly.

Installed a brand new A/​C in our house. The owner is very hands on (did our install himself) and extremely customer service oriented. Professional courteous and clean. Great communication as well. I highly recommend them. Best price too.

I was in an bind after calling 5 other AC services after 7PM on a Friday. Great rates, quick fix, fast service and friendly. On such a sort notice, David did a great job and will recommend him to all my homeowner friends!

David Morris came as a reference from another HVAC company. He did a good fast job that got our ac running right and beating the Texas heat. He didn’t try to up sale me and gave me a fair price on fixing my unit. I would use him again. Watch out for service wizard.

I called two different companies before calling morris. The Other two companies kept charging me for different repairs and didnt fix my ac problem. Nobody could figure out what has wrong with it. Spent 800 in repairs and still didnt fix the problem. I called morris and told them how frustrated I was that nobody could fix my AC and had been without ac for several weeks. Morris came out and fixed my ac. the first time. These guys are awesome! Highly recommend them!

I have had to use David twice with two different houses. Both homes had to have new units. Both times he was the best price. He is extremely nice with wonderful with communication. When he makes an appointment he keeps them and is on time. I would highly recommend his services if you want the best.

David Morris’ company installed a new air conditioning unit and furnace in our house in May 2013. Although he said he would install it himself he had two young men do it who were under his employ. He did not supervise their work.
After the unit was done I noticed extremely loud noises vibrating through the ac unit and in my house. The noises are industrial sounding. Every time the ac unit kicks on the vibrating and clanking noise starts and it doesn’t go away until the unit turns off when it has reached the appropriate temperature.
I contacted David about this noise and the vibrations that could be felt. He came to my house and acknowledged the very loud noise and vibrations. He said he thought it was the copper pipes that connect from the new ac unit. He said he couldn’t make the right adjustments at that time but that he would be back to fix it. He has never returned.

I’ve contacted him at least 5 different times asking him to come and fix the noise and vibration issue. He doesn’t respond. One time in November 2013 a lady in his office called me after reading my email I sent them. She said she talked to David and David said a noise-​cancelling fixture needed to be installed and it hasn’t arrived from the company that makes them. She said David would call me to discuss but he never did.
The noise has not been fixed. Now that the weather has warmed up again the vibrating and noise issues are really severe and an all day thing. I contacted him a few weeks ago asking for him to fix the noise issue. He hasn’t responded. I have a one year labor and parts guarantee with him and he has not honored it. To top it off, he’s even sent me a flyer trying to sell me on their extended service contract! I can’t even get him to service the contract I already have with him and he’s trying to sell me an extended warranty?
Surprisingly, I noticed he advertises himself as Better Business Bureau Accredited yet the BBB does not recognize his company as accredited.

We had rats in the attic that resulting in replacing our AC entire duct work, as well as a few registers. David did a good job assessing the work required, and serviced some additional AC work that needed correction/​updates.
I’m writing this review a year after the repairs, and based on some follow-​up AC duct related challenges.
David is a very nice and honest guy, however, after getting recent service work done, I feel we were overcharged for his services. I own part of this since I didn’t get a second estimate at the time. I also recently learned that we could have gotten some rebates from the City of Austin for the duct work, but David never mentioned this at the time as a savings opportunity.
In addition, we recently had an energy audit performed. The result was that our 1-​year old duct leakage was over 30% (this was confirmed by two separate company assessments). As a result we used another copmany to seal all new air duct leaks with mastic, and all register/​duct connections. The system is now at 9% leakage.
My concern is why the air-​duct sealing wasn’t done as part of the initial air duct installation performed by Morris Heating & Air a year ago?

I have had the good fortune of working with David Morris on two separate projects. One of which is complicated and requires out of the box thinking and the other is my house.
David recently took care of my house and in keeping with tradition, David always takes the time to talk with you and educate you on the unit you have and how to properly maintain your equipment. David is not a salesman… he is simply an honest hard working guy. I asked questions that would open me up to a sales pitch and David simply gave me his opinion (especially because I asked for his unfiltered opinion) on the equipment installed and what to expect long term. To me that is hugely invaluable.
The second project that David is working with me on involves a recording studio. David has clearly put lots of time and thought into this project. He is always being challenged on placement of the equipment and the connections of the ducting. Most people would have charged for multiple visits for this kind of project. David has always been enthusiastic and he always states that he likes a challenge like this project. For all the times that he has been out to my place he has never charged for additional visits.
I consider myself hugely fortunate to have met David. He is simply AWESOME! David’s integrity is not for sale and he has always kept his word. He is always honest, friendly and great at his job. I couldn’t ask for a better person to work with. Thank you David for all your hard work.

They have helped me out twice recently. Both times he came out and kept cost as low as he possibly could. They don’t charge crazy weekend rates like a lot of other companies and his prices are fair and he is very honest. I was very impressed with their service. Great company!

These guys rock! I was amazed at the dedication and professionalism displayed by David and George. George came out that afternoon and worked until around 6p or so and we both thought it was fixed, but around 7ish I realized the house was getting hot and thought, «man I bet it’s tomorrow before it can be repaired «(and it was already close to 100 degrees in the house). But I called anyway and w/​in 10 min David had called me back and said, «let me see what I can do»…10 min after that George called and said, «I’m on my way… it’s important to note here that he was in SOUTH Austin, I was in Georgetown! At 10p they were still working on the unit, but they stayed at it until I had air!!! Who does that anymore? The work was pristine and the prices very reasonable… ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!

I am very impressed with David and Morris Heating and Air. I called at 7:45 am with an emergency AC request (my wife is pregnant and I have a 2 year old), he was out within the hour to help me get my ac up and running. Other companies did not answer and with my situation, I needed immediate help and that’s what I got. He was professional and nice. I would recommend him to anyone needing an AC repair.

David goes good, honest work at a better price than his competitors. What else could you want?

This guy rocks, he was here a half hour after we called. Air conditioning needed replaced, but he did not push us to. Gave us two options one to repair, and one to replace. After speaking to him, and my uncle we decided to replace. Throughout the entire process he was very courteous, and cleaned up after himself. The price compared to what we expected was way below. The air is now fixed, and we are very happy!

They aren’t lying when they say ²⁴⁄₇! We discovered our AC pan overflowing the other evening, called after 7:30 and someone actually answered. They came by after finishing another job, blew out both lines and vacuumed up all of the water from the pan and attic floor. It was so late that Dave’s wife called wondering where he was. Who does that and still charges less than $ 100? We are having him come back to replace the float switch.

David was able to help me get my home AC unit back in working condition for a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. What else can you ask for?! Will recommend him to family, friends and co-​workers if the opportunity arrives.

Details of the Job:
I had an issue with my AC unit in the attic. Basically it was shaking the whole house so I had turned it off when i got home from work. Went online and found this company and gave him a call. He was at my house within the hour and had diagnosed and showed me exactly what he found. The blower motor bracket had broken and there was oil leaking in the unit. Also the blower fan blade welds came undone from the force of the violent shaking of the motor with 1 of 4 brackets broken. He wrote down my model number and came back the next day. He picked up the part & installed them within an hour of arrival. He also was able to unclog one of my drain pipes from the unit which was great as I did not know it was clogged, and also check the other basic things for my 2 units (upstairs, downstairs) like freon levels, etc.

David gives excellent service and is highly qualified. We signed up with a service contract to take care of our restaurants ice machine and coolers. He showes up, with a smile. Highly recommend him.
