Positive Image Photography is locally owed by Lewis and Carol Kincheloe, both native to Austin. We specialize in family, children, wedding and high school senior photography. We photograph on location and in our studio. Lewis is a Certified Professional Photographer and holds three of the highest recognized degrees in his profession awarded by the Professional Photographers of America. He is among less than 1% of professionals to hold the distinction of Certified Master Photographic Craftsman. They have been leaders in imaging in Texas for over 20 years.

History

Established in 1982.

Lewis started Positive Image Photography in 1982. He is native Austinite and proud Texas Ex and was joined in business by his wife Carol in 1995. They have one son Travis who is a Junior at Southeast Oklahoma. The studio has expanded from a primarily wedding studio to a family and portrait based studio over the years. Lewis says «It’s the nature of our business, I’m now photographing HS seniors that I photographed their parents wedding». It’s great to have clients for over 20 years, their like a part of our family.

Lewis and Carol Kincheloe opened Positive Image Photography in Austin, Texas in 1988 and moved their family to Georgetown, Texas in 1994. As a proud Texas-​Ex, Lewis has continued his education. Lewis is a Certified Professional Photographer. He received the degree of Master of Photography in 2002 and the Photographic Craftsman degree in 2008. Lewis is among the less than 1% of photographers to hold these combined degrees and is a Past President of both the Texas Professional Photographers Assoc., Austin PPA and is currently serving as councilor to the Professional Photographers of America. Carol and Lewis enjoy sharing their passion for wedding, senior and portrait photography with fellow professionals throughout the country.
