I liked this place but the way they closed was entirely inhumane and unethical. The parent company F&H Acquisitions who owns Baileys, Fox and Hound, and Champs filed for bankruptcy on December 15, 2013 but did not inform employees and loyal local businesses. Messing up employees lives that depend on their income and local supportive businesses in the community by closing down overnight is inexcusable. I can picture someone hiring a babysitter to go to work only to find out your employer no longer exists. That’s a difficult drive home to your family . The deadlines for filing of proofs of claim against the company established by court is Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 5:00EST Completed forms can be sent to the following addresses: F & H Acquisition Corp. Claims Processing Center c/o Epiq Bankruptcy Solutions, LLC Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4834 New York, NY10163‑4834

This won’t be much of a review, since Bailey’s suddenly CLOSED without warning on Tuesday, 2−18−14. Finally went belly up. I bet it all started when they took the«pretzel dunkers with ale cheese» off of their menu. Big mistake.

This place sucks, all mixed drinks are watered down. I ordered a gin and tonic and all I got was tonic. Then the server had the nerve to ask me if I had ever drank gin and that it was supposed to taste like that. Save your money and order a beer at least they can’t mess that up… or go somewhere else.

Bailey’s is okay of you want to watch a game, I guess, but I’m usually bored out of my mind every time we go. The food is always super salty and gross, too. I’m just not a fan of this place.

Came here on 12÷7÷2013, bad experience! Will never return for the food. Myself and another person were vomiting in the restroom. Food was horrible and over prize. This place may be just right the game/fight night since they have a side for the bar. Other then that I will not come for the food. I had bacon, union, cheddar flat bread. It came in a small size so that’s why I mentioned it’s over prize. It wasn’t tasty, I ate 2 pieces then I stopped. My stomach started to hurt! Waitress names Rajah(might spelled it incorrectly) forgot about my water refill after 30 mins later and it was even busy. My food came about 1 hour later, like I mentioned it wasn’t even busy on the restaurant side. I spent about 3 hours there which shouldn’t take that long! Not to mentioned waitress collected my money and never return the change, which was only $ 3 but maybe she thought it was her tip.

Came here on Saturday with a group of friends to watch the UFC fights. It was surprisingly not very crowded. The seating arrangements in the«viewing» room were very unpractical facing away from the main screen. Our waiter I forgot his name but he had brown hair and glasses was very professional and attentive. The food was OK at best but it came out quick and had a fair price. A friend of mine ordered mac and cheese and they told him they were out of cheese??? Another friend of mine who doesn’t drink alcohol ordered a coffee and apparently they had ran out of spoons which is hilarious but very unprofessional for any establishment. I would come back here but with some reservation cause this place doesn’t stack up to it’s competition.

For a slow Sunday, the service in the dining room was slow. The boneless wings were OK, the onion rings were cold. Can’t beat the selection of beers though…

Ask them why at the end of the night when everyone goes home. Why the food prep area is left as if there was a fire? Mouse droppings on the food prep table top and cook station!!! You ask, how would one know this? If their alarm goes off in the middle of the night who is the first responder? The police! They see everything! Where is the County Health Inspector? Where is the Owner? And, oh the food is bad, the servers don’t care and the place is tired! Need I say more? Run don’t walk!

The service was so poor I’ll never come back to this place. Took 20 min for a waitress to get me a refill.

Good beer. Decent specials. Use to have a good crowd on Tuesday nights but that was a long time ago. Use to joke that the DJ should change his name to DJ SuckA$$ because… well it’s obvious. The bar area isn’t very big but boy do they cram speakers in and crank them up up up. Food is… horrible. Yeah. Did I mention they have beer and tvs? Yeah, that’s about it. Oh and there may be a cover charge for PPV events. Yeah…

I actually enjoy the food here. My 1 star rating is due to the poor service you’ll get inside Bailey’s. Drinks are a bit pricey, and you will be sitting down for about 20 minutes before a waitress will even come and take your drink order. All the while, if you look over by the registers, you will see them congregating and horseplaying with each other while customers are waiting for their order to be taken. Then…once you actually receive your food… its wrong! The waitress was in such a rush to take our order that she didn’t bother listening to anything I had to say with it. Just horrible I say, horrible

Lunch visit. We started with an order of nachos, and I was surprised with everything on them that all the flavors seemed to mesh well. I got a Turkey Sammich on some kind of Pretzel roll. Not too bad. GF got a burger, she was OK with it. Lots of beer. The bartender seemed pretty knowledgeable about the beer. I will say he was a bit frank with us, and possibly would be happier working in a comic book store. None the less he was friendly and on point.

You know, this place get’s terrible reviews and to be honest, the only food I’ve tried was the cheese fries but here’s my experience: They have cold beer, great happy hour prices, you can smoke a cigar on the patio, they have lots of TV’s, and the staff is a lot of fun. So, if you want a nice happy hour experience, this is it. And you won’t be alone. In spite of the reviews, this place is always PACKED in the bar. And who knows, I might be one of those folks packed in there having a nice time, a cold beer, and a good time. Hey, I can tell you this, it beats everything else on this Germantown exit by a MILE so give it a try, I think you’ll like it.

Awful. The only thing I can say positive is that they were clean and not crowded so you can easily get a seat. They do not seem to care that they are awful. Food awful, service awful. No manager to be found anywhere. This review is based on three visits, as I wanted to give them a chance.

Ah, Germantown. The suburban wasteland. Cookie cutter establishments. Bailey’s is one of those places that is a product and victim of market research. That market research is what it has going for it, and against it at the same time. You’ve got your array of sports on multiple TVs, music that covers multiple pop/rock demographics, American pub food and pool tables. Fox and Hound has done their research, and what they are doing seems to be working from a business viability point of view, but it still sucks, because it is so obviously contrived. Speaking for myself, if I’m out for a night of drinking, the place is tolerable for a short period of time, but I wouldn’t want to spend all night there. It is exactly like the other Bailey’s I used to go to from time to time with co-workers in Richmond, VA. You could pick this place up and put it in Anywhere, USA and it would work… from a spreadsheet/investor point of view. This would be an OK spot to have quick couple of drinks at the beginning of the night when you are meeting friends, and then moving on to better things. However, it being in Germantown, there’s not much in the way of «better things» available. If this is your planned destination for the night, then you are in for an evening of being pummeled with a «radio ready» social experience in an establishment that has no true soul. …and as for the food… I don’t know, and I’m not really interested.

This review is based mainly on the food, which if you are judging by the one star you would assume is horrible. Ding, ding, ding! You would be correct in that assumption. The food was TERRIBLE. I don’t think it should be hard for a bar to whip out good sandwiches and fried food. Nothing mind blowing, no culinary master pieces, just good fried food. But apparently this isn’t the case at Baileys. I went for dinner and a couple drinks with a friend. The service was bad, our waitress wasn’t very friendly, and the food took a while to come especially considering that there were two parties in the ‘dining room’ and the bar wasn’t that crowded at all. The food: I had some sort of buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. My chicken was not good. It wasn’t something in particular that was really wrong with it. Just overall it wasn’t good. The fries were undercooked. Not cold/frozen just too firm, I don’t know the proper adjective to describe it but exactly how fries that just haven’t been fried long enough are. The drinks, we had mojitos which I thought were actually pretty good and was surprised that they were. It was around $ 20 or so for two drinks and food so I didn’t think the prices were too bad. Just the food! All in all, if you have to go to Bailey’s I would suggest sticking to the drinks and either waiting until you are too drunk to notice it is horrible or just avoiding the food in general. If you don’t have to go to Bailey’s I would say don’t…there are so many other options in the area.

CANYOUSAYGHETTO? Everyone in the bar was a wanna-be gang member. Even the few white people who were there used ebonics. Did I just pick a bad night to go(Tuesday)? No I’m not being racist. I have black friends but these were straight HOODRATS! Never again.

Down in MD for work and not many options available I found myself at Bailey’s. The servers and host were extremely friendly. There… I said something nice… with that out of the way: the food was blah, the atmosphere was below blah, and I am not sure what is up with the lighting, but it drove me crazy. It is obviously a place to catch the game, but the TVs all seemed low quality and out of focus. With a few steak places surrounding it, I do not recommend bothering with Bailey’s.

I really wish this wasn’t one of the few places in Germantown to grab a drink. Over all: Drink selection: decent Service: hit or a miss… mostly slow though Food: god awful… don’t bother Plus, the cops frequently hang out right in front of this place, never a good sign
