Nice restaurant, but not for Irish Food. Third annual St Patrick’s Day visit. Each time I have ordered their Corn Beef & Cabbage Special, not again. What they serve you is a stew!!! a bowl of broth pieces of potatoes, a few pieces of shredded corn beef and some very small pieces of what I think might be cabbage. The service was excellent and the beer was great.

Was there on Monday nite awesome bartender Kaleigh such wonderful personality awesome service. Great smile and was full of useful information about the area. Will definitely be going back while I am here. Kaleigh also recommended to try the seafood buffet which I am going to try just really good customer service and friendly environment.

Nice place. We sat in bar at high table. Made it more comfortable Food ok. Hot. Tasty. Extensive menu. Peach sangria was delicious & refreshing. Angry orchard on tap very nice. It was Halloween so our waiter was dressed as a Roman centurion sans, helmet. He made the night. His service was superb. Efficient, friendly, timely. Glad we went.

We showed up for dinner at 8:30. Was several out in front deck smoking, didn’t want to be around that. Went inside and was confused with various rooms and doorways. Plenty of staff walking around, yet not one person greeted us, invited us to sit. Felt extremely awkward to be standing there. Went into non smoking lounge where a number of guests were staggering and slurring about, yet still had drinks or were being served more. There we sat patiently at a table. No one came with a menu offered a drink. NOTHING! Ended up walking out after sitting there 10 mins. Guess they only want locals, which is odd for a tourist town. Glad I didn’t spend a dime in that dump full of rude staff!

Food is good and basic. Nothing fancy. Had Old Bay wings for appy. Different. Great beer list. Service was less than expected. Too way too long to get drink order. Appy and main course came together. Waitress left us hanging for long periods.

We’ve been there many times over the past few 2 ½ years and have tried a variety of things on their menu. GREAT hot turkey sandwich w/beef gravy. Good burgers & fries. Interesting seasonal drinks like Watermelon Crush. We went there one Monday night about a year ago for their«all you can eat spaghetti dinner». It was«Meh» at best. Ok, no biggie; we just won’t go back for their spaghetti dinner — lots of Italian restaurants in town. Went to their«all you can eat breakfast» buffet on the weekend several times. It cost $ 9.95 and most items were greasy and unappetizing looking. A lot of money for a poor quality breakfast. Went to their«all you can eat prime rib & seafood buffet twice. $ 32.95/pp. The cream of crab soup was thickened with so much flour it had the consistency of yogurt. Hubby said prime rib was«fine». Veggies were overlooked and waterlogged. Other seafood items were average at best. Stopped in tonight(8÷11÷15) for Tuesday Taco night. Boneless chicken tender appetizers in buffalo sauce were ok; frozen & deep fried but no surprise. I ordered my three taco’s without onions. My order came loaded with onions. Told waitress. Hubby said he would take them home & reheat for lunch. Our waitress apologized and brought me another order. By this time, hubby was finished with his order and I was upset that not only would I have to eat alone but I found an onion in my taco! I was VERY upset by now. Spoke/complained to the nice manager who offered to have the«chef» make me anything else on the menu, several times. I declined, several times. She asked if there was anything she could do. I told her it would be nice if we didn’t have to pay for my order if taco’s(a value of $ 4.00). She removed my order and the one with onions that my hubby said he would take from our bill. Don’t know whose fault this was; the«chef» who put the taco’s together or the waitress who didn’t check my order before she delivered it, or both. Ended up going home and eating cereal for dinner. After all the above, I can’t say I’d recommend this place.

Nice inside, slow service. On the weekends its a biker hang out on the deck. Ok if your a silly kid with a motor cycle. I did that in the 70s and 80s. Too noisy. Claim chowder is ok. Should use less water and more crème. The staff and managers are great.

PC people, this place isn’t for you. Rode up to Gettysburg for their bike week and stopped in for dinner with friends. I ordered the 1⁄3 lb bacon cheese burger w/pickle spear and chips for $ 7.99. The burger was excellent! It was cooked(grilled) to a perfect medium rare with a slight char to it. It’s hard in these vaginalized«politically correct» days, to get burgers cooked the way you want it. Pike Restaurant & Lounge grills excellent burgers! My friend got the cab cake sandwich w/Old Bay fries. The crab cake was massive and was reported to be «excellent.» Don’t let the three stars fool you, this place is good. The Pike is «throwback» restaurant/lounge to the days when people could eat food the way they wanted it. P. S. The chicken«hot» wings look phenomenal. P. S.S. Sounds like someone lost their nuts since the 70’s or 80’s…R.H.

The pike is a place we always stop at during bike week. Good wings and selection of beers. Not the greatest place… but certainty not the worst.

Not fancy. Just good food and good drinks. There is a dining room and a separate bar area. The bar has a mechanical bull in the back — I feel like enough said.

The Pike Restaurant and Lounge is an inexplicably popular bar and restaurant. There are few positives in this smoke friendly establishment and I’m not sure why the parking lot is often filled to capacity. The positives: Some of the people in my party liked their food. I thought some of the food that I ordered was acceptable, but I was turned off by most of the rest. The food and drinks here are cheap. The service was friendly. The negatives: Given the popularity of this place, I was psyched for the experience, but ended up terribly disappointed. My impression of the main dining room upon entry was that of the living room of a dilapidated home, with matching cheap furniture. The décor may have negatively influenced my appetite for my meal. The menu did not impress me, and some of my ordered food was so-so, but some of it turned me off. Smoking seems to be allowed in certain areas of the building, and this smoke can make it to the dining room. Conclusion: In this modern era, any food service business that allows smoking is going to find it hard to get above three stars in my book. Combined with the lackluster décor and unimpressive food, I can’t recommend this to anyone.

Restaurant isn’t fancy at all but food was awesome and we had a funny time talking with the young waitress due to a misunderstanding. Was kind of late for lunch so the place was empty and quiet. No complaints, food was really good and not necessarily expensive. Worth a try.

This place is the pitts. The food was cold and the service was lousy. There were people in our party who were finished before we were served and when we were served the food was cold. I had to get the water pitcher myself and refill the water glasses at out table. The waiter never came back and checked on us for drinks after he took the initial order. There are lots of great places to eat in Gettysburg, this is not one of them.

We stayed at the comfort suites next to the Pike so it made sense to walk over for dinner after we were done in town for the day. We decided we would watch the pens game(had to ask to put it on) and sat at the deck bar. Neither of us smoke but you can out on the deck bar(which is enclosed) and everyone else except for us was taking advantage of that opportunity. The bartender was friendly, her service was decent-not great, and once she took about 10 minutes to ask if I wanted another drink as she was too busy talking to the locals as this is apparently where a lot of locals come to stay away from the tourist crowd. I drank a few yards IPA bottles and my boyfriend went with his usual Yuengling. For food, we started with the Maryland style steamed shrimp, the half pound portion. They were peel and eat, steamed with onions and Old bay and served with cocktail sauce. All of the shrimp were a decent size and it was enough to share. I love old bay on shrimp so I thought these shrimp were quite tasty. For my meal I chose the grilled chicken caesar wrap(grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, onion, parmesan cheese, and caesar dressing rolled in a tortilla then grilled. It was tasty-nothing extraordinary. It came with tortilla chips which were clearly out of a bag but I was full from the shrimp so the wrap was the perfect amount of food, My boyfriend ordered the bacon and cheddar chicken sandwich-pretty self explanatory. He said it was good. This is a good place to watch a game and grab a bite if you’re staying at the hotel next door but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back here.

Poor service & bad cheeseburgers! My group of 4 adults and two kids must have heard from our server«I’m Sorry» like 8 times. Actually it seemed to be the theme in their dining hall when the other server was saying the same thing to his guests. The dining room was filled with cigarette smoke from one or both of their sports bars connected to the restaurant. I’ve had this establishments Broasted Chicken and its good. But. our cheeseburgers were bad. The fries were cold. We can go anywhere and eat PA Broasted Chicken so we will never go back here. DONT bother and don’t believe any UnilocalER that’s says this place is worth your hard earned money. Trying the Appalachian Brewing Co next time.

My wife and I travel 75 miles to the Pike at least once or twice a month. we love their brosted chicken dinner. We always eat in the dining room and from reading some of the other reviews, if they had they would of had a better experence .I have always had a delightful waiter or waitree and it’s become our favorite causal place to eat. IMO It’s well worth the 150 mile round trip to get the best fried chicken that I have ever tasted. Also We were there when they weren’t set up to serve the brosted chicken and the manager or owner I’m not sure ask the cook if they would make a exception and fix us the chicken and he agreed and they made two customers for life. We look forward to our next meal there ask well as all of our friends that we have taken to the Pike. Keep it up Cheryl, good jo

We were in Gettysburg for the 150th anniversary. This was a drive-by, need lunch, look that place isn’t crowded! kind of thing. The fact it wasn’t crowded at lunch time this weekend should have been a big red flag. The service was atrocious. We repeatedly had to bother other people than our waitress because she would disappear for ages(and those people were few and far between as well and never did come back when asked). We were there for over an hour and had ONE refill of drinks. Check certainly came fast enough though. I had a chicken sandwich with mushrooms, swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and a ‘light barbecue sauce’. I cut the sandwich in half, since it was huge, but that didn’t help. This thing was so covered in sauce and poorly constructed it just slid everywhere. I couldn’t even eat it with a knife and fork. I had to wash my hands past the wrists after trying to pick it up and eat it. I had the chips and salsa on the side — stale store-bought chips with just jarred salsa. Terrible. The sandwich wasn’t even good :( Husband and friend each ordered the crab cake sandwich. Same problem — fell apart completely and couldn’t even be eaten with a knife and fork without making a huge mess. Other friend ordered the club sandwich. She said it lacked tomatoes and mayonnaise(she was halfway done before the requested items were finally brought) and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours(room temperature everything and tough, old lunchmeat). Now, this place was offering $ 5 bag lunches with club sandwiches — we suspect this was just taken from a bag lunch rather than made fresh. It’s a smoking restaurant too. While it didn’t fill with smoke while we were there, I could see that in the evenings it would be awful. While I will return to Gettysburg, I’ll be avoiding this place like the plague.
