The INN at Gig Harbor

This place is fantastic. The room was nice with high ceilings and comfortable beds. The shower had great water pressure. They even have NFL network. The restaurant has gluten free bread and is good with food allergies. The only downside was we had to unplug the fridge in the room because it was loud, but it was a good sized fridge if we needed it.
Great experience!

Hotel needs upgrading. Torn & worn wallpaper and sheers/​shades in room 326. Not sure about other rooms. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfortable.

One star barely deserved for The housekeeping staff from hell! Barely made beds, one refill on bathroom supplies in 5 days there! Trash emptied, NOT! Too busy gossiping in the rooms! HOWEVER, the staff for conferences deserve 5 stars! They were helpful, organized, gracious and would recommend them any day! Hot tub reportedly closed permanently. No pool. No evening restaurant or bar.

We just finished holding my daughters wedding at the Inn. We had alot of out of town family an friends that stayed there along with most of a large wedding party. Everybody raved about their rooms and the hotel staff in all aspects.
The wedding party room discount was great, the cost for the banquet rooms for the wedding ceremony was very reasonable and everyone received discount food vouchers.
The hotel staff was very professional and worked with us to solve every problem that arose. This place is the BEST and very reasonable priced for a wedding event!

I used to travel a lot on business and so have stayed in many varieties and styles of hotels over the years. The Inn at Gig Harbor is one of the better ones. Not a 5 star, but for leisure travel or business, it’s perfect. Large spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and an incredibly picturesque location. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 is due to the noise — it sits right next to Hwy 16, and if you aren’t on the other side of the hotel, the traffic noise can be heard pretty well. Otherwise you should give this place a try!

Good news: Bed was very nice. If all you need is a goo nights sleep, this place will cover your needs. Staff was nice and attentive.
Not so good news: the room and hotel in general is very basic. I think a remodel is in this hotels future.
The bathroom boarders on unacceptable. Small tub with uneven surface made showers an adventure. Had to request soap!
Summary: a nice basic hotel stay. Nothing special, however, proximity to the Heritage Distillery is fantastic. You can safely walk (or crawl) across the parking lot to a comfortable bed.

This is a review of the restaurant. I’ve been here about three times for Sunday brunch and each time the food I have ordered was just okay. On the last visit, however, it was poor. The pancakes had an unpleasant taste and were mixed with some hash-​brown fragments and one of my family members had crab cake eggs benedict that had no detectable crab flavor. The staff offered this family member something else and they ordered some waffles which they had previously had. The waffles came out badly underdone however and this family member decided to go without eating brunch at all this time. The staff was friendly and apologetic, but only took off some of the meal in compensation. In my experience, when things go this bad, they should refund the entire meal. We decided not to return again, although offered a free meal next time, because the overall experience was too mediocre and there are many other restaurants out there to try.
PS — when addressing a problem with customers, make it fast and discreet. Although friendly, we had three to four waitresses coming back and forth to our table apologizing and making offers which drew a lot of attention from all the surrounding tables.

While in Gig Harbor for a wedding we were told to stay at this hotel. Since I did read the reviews I asked to be put in the front of the hotel because I did not want to stay on the freeway side. They accommodated us to that request. We were on the second floor and the only reason why I mention the floor is it is very loud from the people walking upstairs. The hotel was pretty full from another wedding an it seemed like the people upstairs were dancing or jumping very late into the night. So I suggest requesting a top floor if the hotel is crowded. It is by no means a reason not to stay there.
The beds were the most comfortable beds I have stayed in for a long time in a hotel. The room was so clean. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Keurig in the room! I need my coffee in the morning and I did not want to have to go down to the lobby to get it. Great touch. Another great touch is the 2 free bottled waters left in our fridge (EVERYDAY!). It is so nice not to have to pay $ 5 for a water in your room. Love the microwave and the fridge. Very convenient.
We also took the airport shuttle for a nominal fee and it picks you up right in front.
Another fun thing is the trolley (for only a quarter) will take you to historic Gig Harbor. It is really cool and it too picks up outside the hotel (by the main entrance).
We did not do the continental breakfast but had a full breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious.
Loved that I can keep the fan on continually too kept some of the noise at bay.
Friendly staff and a very clean, comfortable room. We will for sure stay here when we are back in the area.
Room Tip: Rooms in the front of the building and get a high floor if hotel is crowded.

Nice rooms, comfy beds, lots of pillows, nice restaurant, and good location. There’s a distillery next door that does tastings (fun!), and a gym, hot tub, and business center on site. Free wifi too!

Wow, this hotel really knows how to make you feel pampered. Plus, I found great deal on TripAdvisor for $ 89 weekday rate. Best deal just minutes outside of Tacoma. Outside looks wonderful and being right on Highway 16, it is super easy getting where you want to go. People warned about roadway noise so I requested 2 queen room facing away from highway.
Upon checkin, nice basket with apples was welcoming. Plus, there was nice selection of TAZO tea and wonderful coffee. There is Heritage restaurant in hotel but we didn’t try it out. Instead, we were grateful our room had large fridge with big microwave to heat up some Chinese takeout. Nice bath amenities and nice workout room. There was outdoor hot tub but it was raining the whole day. WiFi is a bit weak and had to go to the elevator sitting area to get better reception just above the lobby.
Clerk will give you a parking pass to put in car since many guests opt to use their park n fly to airport. Beds were super plush and comfortable. Also, continental breakfast served at 7 am and you get coupon vouchers to use at Heritage.
Pretty nice breakfast with hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, and fresh fruit cocktail (a nice plus). Lady at Heritage let us get a tray to bring food upstairs for breakfast. Plus, she gave us a thermos of fresh brewed coffee to bring up to our room. Also, don’t forget to check out Gig Harbor which is less than 5 minutes. It’s worth to check out the harbor and downtown.

We had a fundraising dinner, dance auction. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional.

Not so much at the harbor, but it was a nice room good food and great staff! Will be back…

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, there is a restaurant in the hotel & the food was delicious, the rooms (our room had 2 queen beds) were spacious & comfy, there’s a small gym room, hot tub, spa, & nearby restaurants to dine at (hubby and I walked across the street to a BBQ restaurant for a few drinks). Had a lovely time! Oh, and small dogs are allowed to stay here as far as I know. Awesome!

This is a hidden gem of a place! We just had my husbands Men’s Golf Club Holiday Party in the banquet space. This was our first event here and we will be back. Our dinner was served buffet style hot and delicious fabulous feedback from our guests. Our servers were on the spot with refreshing our buffet and providing guest beverages from the bar as we were a smaller group-​35-​and didn’t opt for an in-​room bartending service. The holiday music and décor were very tasteful as well.

A friend from Gig Harbor was getting married at her family’s estate and The Inn at Gig Harbor was the preferred venue for out of town guests. The wedding was on Saturday and we had flown in to Seattle and stayed with a friend until the day of the wedding.
The hotel was very accommodating and was able to check us in very early so we could get ready before the shuttle arrived to take us to the ceremony. Overall the hotel was very nice as well as the staff except for two issues.
On the day we were supposed to check out I dropped something between the bed and nightstand (we were in room 312 with two queen beds) and when I reached down to get it I found a chicken bone from a previous guest. I have no idea how long it had been there but it became a running joke. The only other negative was when I asked for a later check-​out the day we were supposed to check out. That was poor planning on my part, I admit, but the front desk clerk (a young blond girl) seemed put out by my request and gave me a bit of a *shrug* whatever that’s the best I can do attitude. We were still able to check out an hour later with our friends who were our rides so it all worked out but bonus smugness was off putting.

No kidding. With a leap of faith, I can land on the highway from my window on the 3^rd floor. This is how close our room is to the busy highway 16. I couldn’t sleep the first night so I complained to the front desk for put me through hell.
However, front desk staff quickly responded and promptly helped me change room to the other side. They also lowered my rate to compensate the inconvenience. I was satisfied for their efforts and decided to stay.
Both rooms we stayed are spacious. The one away from the highway is quiet and comfortable. Housekeeping did great job keep room spotless clean.
Despite the unfortunate first night, I like this hotel for its extra amenities such as: Pre-​paid shuttle bus to and from Sea-​Tec International airport by reservation ($ 14 per person); Enterprise Rental Car Counter and agent on duty from Monday to Friday at the lobby; On site restaurant serve breakfast, lunch and dinner; easy access to downtown Gig Harbor and Tacoma; and wireless internet.
It is suitable for both business and leisure. The reason I gave it 3.5 instead 4 is because almost 50% of its rooms face highway side. Make sure you mention that when you make reservation online or by phone.

Dog barked for couple hours in middle of night. Night mgr was nice & was on it. Rooms were just ok and the hot tub was out of service and there is a funny smell in the hallway on 2^nd floor. Continental breakfast was good but very skimpy.

My husband and I came here on a couples retreat. The hotel is lovely and the staff is very kind. The rooms are spacious. You can get ones with hottubs or kitchenettes.
The food is especially good. They serve local specialties like dungeness crab and salmon along with many other gourmet meals.
There is a hotub, laundry room (coin) and exercise room on the second floor.

We drove from Minnesota to the Puget Sound area for a wedding and mad did we get a treat with this hotel.
We did spoil ourselves and get a jacuzzi suite and it was well worth it.
The room was clean, organized, spacious and relaxing. We didn’t ever hear our neighbors and only hear it when someone slammed a door directly across the hall which happened twice in three nights there.
The bed was amazing. After wedding festivities all weekend I looked forward to jumping into the comfortable, clean bed with enough pillows to go around. (I despise it when you have 2 mini pillows at hotels)
Jacuzzi tub worked very well with no problems. I just had to remember not to put in anything over a drop of bubble bath since the jets are über powerful.
We did get coupons for a free continental breakfast but the resturant had great omelets and biscuits and gravy.
Gig Harbor is small, but the inn is close to most major areas which is great. There is also a brewery next door (that we didn’t get to check out) but will be sure to next time!

Stayed here with my husband and toddler after a huge windstorm knocked out power to half of the area. It was busy, but the staff was totally attentive and very helpful. Loved the rooms and thought it was very well priced. We had a room with two queens, a couch and a desk which was really spacious. We were able to bring our dog, which was a huge plus and the additional charge was affordable.
We will definitely return and recommend it highly!
