Nice sell process; poor follow through after the sale. Really disappointed in lack of ownership.

So glad we went with Alexon! This job was for a vacation home for us so we needed to find someone we could trust, that would make this process as painless as possible since we’re out of state. Courtney did just that! From beginning to end, he was available for texts, phone calls and arranging his schedule to meet with me when we happened to be in town. He spent so much time helping with ideas we’d never thought of! Very good to work within our budget and I love the way the bid is layed out by item so that you know what you’ll spend if/​when you want to add more. The job was done in a very timely manner and even pictures to show the progress each day! I can’t tell you how much we love our yard and the professionalism of Alexon! Thanks so much for a job well done!

When I decided redesign our existing pool (completely yank out and start over) I had no clue what I was getting into. For people thinking about taking on a first build or a tear down and rebuild, you need to know this is a massive and lengthy process.
I stumbled on Alexon Design Group on the internet as you probably will. I put in a call back in September. to inquire about the process and the cost. We got a call back almost immediately from one of their designers Courtney Wenzel who remained our point of contact thru the design process. Courtney is an awesome and detail oriented guy. He was also extremely patient and understanding with all of our indecision.
After the CAD design was approved and we got the demolition rolling I found myself very frustrated at the amount of delays there were. This is NOT a poor reflection on Alexon Design, this is construction… there are delays. Alexon Design does sub-​contract alot of their work, so each crew may be different. The manangement of the crew handled by Scott McNeil and Carlos (last name slips my mind) was second to none. The crew they used were absolute artists and we only had one minor mishap (sledge hammer vs pool plumbing) that was quickly fixed
I love what they have created and get positive comments on it everyday.

We used Alexon to complete the front and back yard landscape in our new semi-​custom home. The project was a complete landscape for a ½ acre lot which included decorative walls, raised bed planters, artificial turf, and travertine pavers among other things.
Alexon was quick to make any changes we requested, and very accommodating to our needs. So far we’re very happy with the project, and would definitely recommend Alexon to friends.

On January 3, 2015, we met with Shawn to discuss our potential landscaping project. At the conclusion of our meeting, Shawn said he would be in touch with an estimate. It’s February 28, 2015, and we still haven’t heard from him.

We decided to find help to upgrade our builder-​quality back yard landscape. We did not want a pool but wanted to increase shade and to showcase a growing interest in succulents. Ideally, a water feature, fire pit, BBQ and maybe even a spa would be involved depending on design and cost. Our tastes tend toward modern and arty. We interviewed and considered designs by 6 (!!!) local companies selected from positive reviews and intriguing photos on websites.
One of the first 5 was a stand-​out and we were convinced we would engage that company until we went to our 6^th design presentation, Alexon Design. Not only were we presented with a 3D computer rendition of our project but the design was leagues above all other contenders. The design team considered all our interests and tastes and hit the nail on the head. Price was reasonable and timeline perfect. We walked out to Gilbert Ave to weigh our decision, took one look at each other and headed back up the stairs to book them… ASAP, please!
The process was painless, crews were outstanding, work was perfection and on time, and the resulting space is even better than we imagined. On top of that, the incredible team made adjustments as we came up with them (other designers did not want our suggestions after initial design was complete!) and even created solutions to tricky placement of hot tub, among other things. They worked with HOA guidelines and city regulations and supported and made real our whims and desires to create a space unique to us.
We can’t recommend Alexon Design and Landscaping enough and are happy to share the good word of their creativity and professionalism. We have nothing but respect for the creativity and fine work ethic of each member of the Alexon team.

Consultation was good — follow up after work was complete was non-​existent.
Issues:
1. They made the decision to lay spring sod in the winter. Overwatered the grass and never bothered to come back. The backyard is extremely lumpy now and I had to pay $ 300 to get winter grass replanted.
2. Pavers in the back cracked and they decided just to fill the cracks with epoxy rather than replacing.
3. No returned calls or emails after we had paid 8k for all work done. I decided to take their sign down which was never picked up after almost a year because the front yard was embarrassing. I feel like I did them a favor.
All in all craftsmanship was just ok. Find another company, I won’t be using to do the backyard.

Let me start off by saying that prior to this experience I have had no other experience with remodeling, landscaping, or design. When we decided to do a complete overhaul of our home, inside and out, I didn’t know where to start. We started with the interior and the process was very smooth, easy, and pain-​free, so I expected the process for our outdoors (front and back) to be the same. However, this was NOT at all what happened UNTIL I found Alexon Design and Landscaping.
I contacted 2 other companies prior to working with Alexon and had awful experiences. The first kept me waiting for my initial consultation for 30 minutes, then finally called to say he would be there within the next half hour. First impressions mean a lot and that really didn’t make me overly excited to work with this company. The second company was initially great with communication, then on the DAY OF the consultation meeting the designer called me (about an hour before the meeting) to tell me that he didn’t want to fight driving through rush hour traffic to meet with me. Really? I’m paying thousands of dollars to do this project and you aren’t willing to drive for that? The owner of that company sent me an email later defending the designer’s actions and basically berating me as a customer for not understanding.
At this point I was really discouraged about finding anyone to work with. When we received a referral for Alexon I was initially hesitant but set up a time to meet because I really wanted to get my project done! Our designer, Shawn, was early to the consultation and already had some great ideas just from looking at the land and hearing my concept. About a week later he had drafted 3D renderings of the project (based on what I said I wanted) along with a breakdown of the pricing for each item. At that point we took out some items, added others, and started deciding on the types of materials, colors, etc. There was no pressure whatsoever to stick to the original rendering — all changes to the initial design were done quickly, easily, and to our satisfaction.
When all the permits went through and materials were selected they started the project. This was a very big project with tons of hardscape, 2 firepits, 1 fireplace, lots of lighting, synthetic grass all over, re-​doing pool decking and a hot tub — a complete overhaul of both the front and backyards. The crew was fantastic, always on time, worked hard all day, got everything done as planned. The project manager sent me an email every evening outlining the progress as well as the next steps.
End product is fantastic. I honestly can’t imagine how they could have done a better job. We had a few issues with some lights after the completion and Shawn and his team came out to our home many times until it was fixed to our satisfaction. I have since referred them to many friends who have done other projects and are also completely satisfied. When we decide to completely re-​do our pool interior we will definitely use Alexon again.
