Super Air Heating and Cooling

Finally, James called and talked to my husband to see what he could do to fix the issue. At this point we had already called for a second company to do assess our heater/​AC problems. They found that there was an issue with the motherboard as well. James said he would personally come and bring that as well to make sure there were no other problems with our unit. He also offered to inspect our unit in 6 months to make sure there were no operating issues. If this was the type of service that was given in the beginning, then they would have received 5 stars but because of the poor customer service for the first 2 months, they have 3 stars.

I can not recommend this company for any hvac work! Let me explain my month long headache… I create a service ticket with fidelity home warranty on Nov 16. Who dispatch Super Air as our vendor. The earliest they can come out is Tuesday Nov 24 and when they do show up they figure out we have a locked compressor. They say that they will contact or home warranty and see if they will cover the repair and then call us back with an update before the week is up. Since it was thanksgiving week i figured they would be leaving early for the week and i thought i would call on the following Monday Nov 30^th. I call them and they cant find our work order, the lady took my number and said she would call me back later in the day. She never calls me back so i call on Tuesday Dec 1^st and she doesn’t remember me from the previous day or our conversation. I explain everything again and she finds our work order and apologizes that somehow they forgot to contact the home warranty for approval. She said she would do it today and get back to me with an update. I then call the home warranty to make sure they call the vendor for the repair, since i have lost faith in Super Airs ability to do so. The home warranty assures me they will contact them within 24 hours and start the process. I call super air again on Friday Dec 4^th to check in and the lady says they are waiting for approval. Once they have approval they will have the part shipped in and then they will setup an appointment for install. I call the home warranty afterwards and they confirm the part is approved and will ship to vendor in 3 – 5 business days. I call Super Air back on Monday Dec 7^th to get an update about the part and they cant find my work order. I explain the situation and I ask if I can schedule an appointment for the following week since the part should be to them by Friday the latest. She says she cant do that because the home warranty has an issue of sending the wrong part and they need to confirm prior to setting up the install (really???). I express my concerns of not having heat for the last few weeks and that its really beginning to worry me that this is going to continue to be a long drawn out repair. She assures me that once the part shows up she will contact me to setup an install and that I shouldn’t have to worry much longer. Since i still haven’t heard from Super Air, and I would like to point out, the only time they called me was the first appointment, I decide to call them again on Dec 16 to get an update. I follow the same routine, give the same lady my address and home warranty and she still cant find my work order. She says she will take my phone number and call me back… I tell her that she never calls me back when she says that and that i will call her back in an hour. She says that wont work out and gets mad at me when i tell her an hour should be an appropriate amount of time to find my work order. She says she will call back once its found and then hangs up. Sooooo… I am now waiting 5 hours and haven’t been called back. Im tired of the poor customer service and the lack of communication to the client or home warranty. I can read other home warranty reviews that show similar issues. Lets see how Super Air takes this review, are they going to step up and someone actually calls me to help me out, or am I going to go through the winter with no heat in my house? Its sad that I actually have to leave a bad review on Unilocal,when I have given them so many chances to make it right.
Update: 12÷22÷15, they cancel our install due to rain, there is no rain at our house. They reschedule for a week later for 12÷29÷15 and say that is the best they can do. I speak to the lady who is the office manager and i remind her that we have been waiting since nov 16 without heat in the house. She says she has two other people waiting for over two months without heat. I explain that there is no rain forecasted tomorrow and they should make an effort to reschedule for then, she says she cant do it. I ask to speak to the owner and she says she will pass my info on when she sees him next. I ask when will that be, she has no idea. I ask for her to call the owner and pass along my concerns and she hangs up on me. Before she hung up she told me to call my home warranty and ask for another vendor if we aren’t happy with the service. Its incredible how she doesn’t take any ownership or want to help customers in any way. We paid our dues to them and have received no service. I again want to remind anyone reading this, i have had to contact them on every occasion, they never call back or communicate in any way. This office manager is in my opinion either overworked and under paid and hates her job or she just doesn’t care. I told her about the Unilocal review, she didn’t care about that either. Its amazing, please do not use this vendor for anything!!!

The technician showed up very late, he was combative and rude. Very unprofessional. He also could not diagnose the problem of my appliance. He wrote a report for me that the was different from the one he had sent to the Home Warranty Company. I had to fax the version of the report that was given to me by Joe, the owner, so the Home Warranty Co. to fix my problem by referring me to a different and more competent appliance repair company.

Great experience! Sal was courteous, knowledgeable and repaired my heater quickly. He also called to confirm the appointment and arrived promptly. Very satisfied with Super Air and would highly recommend them! This company actually provides wonderful customer service.

I called Super Air and spoke to Teresa, who was very cordial and set an appointment to do a warranty service repair. I specifically requested Salvadore and he was the one who came to my house. Salvadore is very knowledgeable and quickly discovered the problem. What was unusual was that he took the time to explain what was going on with our AC unit. Salvadore was at my house probably less than 30 minutes-​his troubleshooting skills are excellent ! My neighbors are interested in using Salvadore if they have AC problems, thank you Super Air!

I found the owner, Bob to be a very reasonable person. I had a misunderstanding in communications with the office manager and he helped clear it up and reached a workable resolution. The technician, Sal seemed quite knowledgeable and competent. The only reason I’m giving them a 4 star is that it was a challenge getting a hold of the manager but ultimately the owner came through.

We contracted Bob and Super Air to replace our furnace and repair and test our heating duct system. The crew from Super Air not only did a very professional job, but they were very courteous and respectable during the job. They cleaned up to our satisfaction and there were no surprises when the bill arrived — just a quoted! We will most definitely consider Super Air to be our HVAC contractor of choice.

Awesome job. Sal the tech was great. He got the job done fast and efficiently. I highly recommend Super Air. This is the only company that I will let my home warranty service use if I have any further heating or air conditioning problems.

Super Air in Gilroy came out to my apartments due to an A/​C not working. The technician told the tenant that the furnace was bad and rusty and needed to be replaced. When I called the warranty co. they were told by SA that the furnace needed a maintenance and until this was completed the warranty would be on hold. We were forced to have SA come out and do the maintenance. They next day the ceiling below the furnace was bubbling and something was obviously wrong. Upon opening the ceiling water poured out. I called SA and spoke with Teresa who is incredibly rude. She said that the condensation line was plugged and this happens all of the time but it was not included in the maintenance. They came out again and found the line was disconnected. Calling Teresa again she said that these line come off all of the time. My response was your tech was out the day before and we never had this problem. Additionally, I had another a/​c co check out the furnace and they verified that the line was indeed connected before SA had done the maintenance. Teresa got even ruder if that is possible and hung up on me. I have filed a complaint with my warranty company but I am out the cost of repairing the ceiling. I would never use this company again. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I can not give zero stars.

I just realized that Super Air had the audacity to reply. Let me make this explicitly clear — home warranty or not, Robert, you treat every customer equally. I am shocked that you had the nerve to respond with a BOLD FACE lie. The home warranty company did not want to deal with your company and removed you from their service provider list after this incident. Furthermore, I see that your company continues to get bad reviews. Super Air, you keep up the bad work, and I’ll make sure that everyone is informed.

They been working on my heater going on two weeks, and prior to that. they have not fixed it yet. there has been no shows no calls, when I call the office the lady is very rude. Like I was a
wife felt very unsafe, the tech’s were very rude, misdiagnosed problem 4 times, I ask the tech to stay for 10 min to see if was working he said he dont have time. 10 min after he leaves the heater shuts down, my family been with out heat since dec 11 2012 all they do is replace parts and leave. i had to call pg&e because we smelt gas, they said the valve was leaking the one superair just put in. with all this said .i hope you don’t let them service your
trying to get a hold of
see if he or she has any idea what’s going on. plus what’s wrong with having home protection program. i will be copy your post and show this to the right people, you should service the same. thanl you RELIABLE AIR MECHANICAL, ONE TIME OUT AND FIXED IT.

Where do I start… I meet the owner at a chamber meeting and thought why not keep my business local… Big, big costly mistake!
We had him install a Trane heater because we wanted to replace it only once and this is a good quality expensive heater. From day one it was not right. It would work sometimes and not work most of the time. The owner came out two times and said it was fixed but as soon as he left it was cold again. We then called and said he needed to come back and really fix it. He then sent an employee out who seemed to nothing about the heater but replaced the fuses and board Again!
When we called him out for the forth time he told us to call Trane because he could not fix it. We told him he sold and installed it for us and he needed to fix it. He said it was not his fault and hung up the phone on us!
Now it is 6 years later and 57 degrees in the house… I called Central Coast Heating and air in Morgan hill and he talked to Trane who said it is the incorrect heater for our house and does not work with the size of the ducts and size of the house! In addition it was installed incorrectly that made it function incorrectly! We are now looking at having to replace this very expensive heater because they had no idea what they were doing!
Bottom line … don’t let them touch your house! I sure found out the hard way!

Been doing work my Corporation for years now. used by reputable land owners in the Silicon Valley. Recommended to me and have always done a great job for reasonable expected price. Very Punctual group. Highly recommend.

I am not sure about this other review, but I had a completely different experience with Super Air. I have used them for my home, my rental properties, and my retail business over the past 7 years. I can always count on Super Air to be thorough, on time, and very professional.
I have had superb experience and the best customer service I can ask for whether it was for a new installation, diagnostic, or repair work. They always exceeded my expectations and came in on or under budget.
