Established in 2013.
When my dog (Taboo) had to have hip surgery she required extensive rehab including swimming. Swimming was wonderful for Taboo. She experienced increased Rom (range of Motion), reduction in pain, decrease in muscle tension and tightness. While the benefits were enormous so were the bills that came with it. For optimum results she needed to be swimming more and I wanted to prevent future issues with my current and future dogs. Being proactive is much better than being reactive. So the concept to build this pool was born. Sadly, Taboo passed away 2 weeks shy of her 12th birthday and a few months shy of the pool I had so longed for her to have. I wanted a place that was accessible to all. The Fountain of Woof — H204k9 is committed to helping rescue and is working with Midwest Labs and other rescue groups providing free swimming for post surgical dogs before they go to their forever homes
