You’ll be hard-​pressed to find the same level of expertise that our auto mechanic specialists provide! We have years of experience working on both domestic and import vehicles of all makes and models and can work with you to find cost-​effective repair and maintenance alternatives. Come by any day during the week, or call and schedule an appointment between 9AM and 2PM on Saturday.

Used Lord’s Auto Clinic for the first time last week as my car was overheating. Berlin helped me and was courteous, straight forward, and did a great job repairing my car. Berlin replaced a faulty thermostat it’s been a week and car is running fine. I asked about additional repairs and Berlin told me to hold off as the parts looked solid to him and maybe check them next year.
If you work in the loop, Lord’s is super convenient. I dropped my car off in the morning, hopped on Metra, and Berlin finished the work that day. I will definitely go back here if I need more work or maintenance on my car.

Rick and his staff are honest, competent and work is priced fairly. He doesn’t encourage you to do work that doesn’t need to be done yet. We can get appointments easily and work is done when promised. Oh, and they are very nice! Highly recommend.

when i was having some trouble with my car, a la EMISSION TESTING,
the guy who looked at my car was very nice.
he did it for free.
but, i thought it was strange that as a auto mechanic he pull a wire that came off
of my car, and then asked «WHAT’S THIS?»

This place is great! The service is always top-​notch and I feel like they’re very honest about the repairs a car needs. Their prices are good too. You might be able to get repair work done cheaper at one of those chain shops, but you won’t get the quality and personal service.
If you go here, try to do a drop-​off so you don’t have to wait. They don’t have a waiting room, just a few chairs along the window. But if you do have to stay, WiFi is available (at least it was when I was there). Bring a good book to pass the time. They will keep you updated on the status of your car while you’re waiting.
Also, if it’s not an emergency, call and make an appointment, so your car will get in right away.
Yes, I’d definitely recommend Lord’s. If you’re looking for a quality, honest auto shop, then this is your place.

These are straight-​up guys! My brake line needed repairing and they did a great job at a reasonable price — THE FIRST TIME! Also, I already knew the disks and drums were fine because the dealership had told me so a few months earlier, but I wanted to test the integrity of Lord’s. Sure enough, they told me only the brake line needed fixing and the disks and drums were fine!!! Lots of integrity! Will SO go to them again and again!
