Williams Sewer Line Inspectors

The $ 250 we spent saved us $ 5,000. We bought a house and were told the sewer line had just been replaced and lined, and were shown the receipts as proof. I needed to be SURE. Nick did our inspection and he showed up on time, was very thorough, very professional, and very articulate. The inspection is beyond the scope (pun) of what a general house inspector would find. He discovered a cracked sewer pipe, and saved us $ 5,000 and a lot of regret.

These guys are awesome, I had to use them twice in about 3 months, both times the came on time and produced the report very quickly and efficiently with lots of detail. Not only that, but they were happy to discuss the report in detail over the phone and give their opinion on work that was needed as well as rough estimated costs. This helps immensely when deciding on buying a home and I’m so glad I found them. There’s nothing better than going into a huge deal (buying a home) and feeling that you are ale to make an informed calculated decision on how to proceed. Thanks to there report we were also able to get the sellers to agree to a substantial credit in the work needed.

I can’t speak highly enough about Williams Sewer Line Inspectors, and I urge anyone seeking an inspector to make sure they are using an independent inspector and not using someone who is also hoping to be a service provider. That should seem obvious, and it was to me going into the process, which is why we had contracted Williams Sewer Line Inspectors in the first place, but during the process I got roped into to using a plumber too (long story).
Jeremy came out to inspect the sewer line at a property we were buying, and he couldn’t complete the inspection because the clean-​out was hidden in a part of the yard 15 feet from where the seller had believed it to be. Succumbing to pressures from other stakeholders in the buying process, I agreed to let a plumbing company come out and do the camera work for the inspection because they could come out the next day, and we were in a rush. They gave us a pretty pricey quote, and I called Jeremy for a referral to a second opinion, and he was able to view the camera work video and, not only did he give us a referral to another sewer repair, but he was able to save us a lot of wasted work and money for a very misleading quote. I only wish I had stuck to my guns and had Jeremy come back to two the inspection instead of the other company who clearly was just trying to make some money off of us.
This is a trustworthy company. Oh, also – many of the other inspectors spoke to my real estate agent rather than me (sexist), and Jeremy always spoke directly to me and respectfully and didn’t treat me like an idiot as some the other company did (know who your customer is, people, it’s not the real estate agent, but the buyer!). Nick searched high and low for an access point for an inspection while we were in escrow. He communicated everything he was doing and gave a clear description of what he was doing. It was really helpful. I will definitely call them again.

This company came highly recommended from the house inspector we hired (Scotland Yard Home Inspections). I called and spoke with Jeremy and he was able to have someone out there at the same time as our home inspection 2 days later. Nick came out and was very professional and thorough. He spent a couple of hours there and made some very important recommendations that we wouldn’t have discovered through a normal home inspection. The report was great along with a video of the sewer pipe from the house to the city line. They are worth every bit of 5 stars. Very happy we found them and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.

He was courteous, punctual and he took the time to explain everything. Not only that, he was very thorough and when he left, we understood the sewer line on our new property. I had Nick come out to inspect the sewer lines on a house we were in escrow on. I then had him come back to re-​inspect a few weeks later when the requested work had not been — as I had guessed — completed by the seller! He was extremely helpful in explaining the situation with all of the old, cast iron lines. He gave tiered recommendations of high priority items and things that could probably be put off until later. Nick from Williams Sewer Line Inspectors did an incredible job. We had a «mystery» plumbing problem that had been causing us tremendous trouble for a long time – several plumbers were baffled, including one who ran a camera through the lines. They all had theories and estimates of well over $ 6000 to solve the problem. Nick came and located the main problem in minutes, then quickly found the contributing problems. He was on-​time, professional and very knowledgeable. He emailed a thorough, extremely helpful report with video and a reasonable estimate which made it much easier to get the work done quickly and for much less than we had been told earlier. I had Nick as my sewage inspector and he was extremely thorough, professional, and very knowledgable. I was able to book an appointment for the next day and after the inspection, got a report by that evening. The report included video clips of the camera used to inspect the sewer lines as well as a narrative. I’ve also had several questions that i asked him after the inspection was completed and he was very patient and provided me w/​good feedback. Even weeks after the inspection, I had emailed him w/​some questions and he was prompt in responding and was really good about it. These guys’ were not only flexible with what turned out to be a real pain in the butt escrow experience we were having but also professional, on time and friendly. I would use them when we are in escrow again as we ended up not closing on that particular house, which was a bummer but the inspection was very thorough and he also did us a huge favor and got us our report quickly! I thought the price was $ 219 but seems we paid $ 250 so that was a bit of a bummer, but he was nice about the 24 hour postponement for the following week due to us having issues with the seller and them meeting deadlines. I will use them again for sure!

I had a very short time frame to do my inspections on a building I was trying to buy. Williams was able to accommodate me with an appointment the next morning. Nick Bylsma came out to do the job. He was extremely thorough. The building had no clean – out so he really went the extra mile to get the camera out to the street/​city hook-​up. The price is very reasonable. Hired them to do the sewer line inspection at a house I plan to buy and was impressed with the service. The sewer clean out was hidden somewhere in the yard so they were nice enough to go through the sewer vent pipe on the roof at no additional charge.
They arrived on time and gave a lot of helpful feedback on the condition of the sewer line. The video of the sewer line was narrated with possible problems with the line and recommendations for fixes. They post the video online instead of burning a DVD.
Its good that they only perform inspections so they don’t try pushing services you don’t need. They were also nice enough to locate the clean out valve, which was hidden behind some bushes in the yard. A written report was sent a few days later. Overall the sewer line inspection was totally worth the price, which was lower than other companies.
